At the time, I missed the old fishing shop, so the harbormaster office MUST BE MINE. And I've been in love with the aesthetics and vibe of the lost city ruins since the first time I saw it. Problem is, I'm also a Castle fan... Well, guess october is as good as any other month to start the diet 💸🥲
The Harbour Master is an instant win. Will pair so well with the old fishing store. Those who didn’t get the old fishing store…. Will defo want to pick this up. It’s the one I’ll be trying to get.
Looks almost like a long-lost and overgrown Rivendell and I'm completely sold on the idea. Plus I'm a sucker for the romantic melancholy of old ruins 😁
I want to like The Forest Strong (I love castle theme), but it is just so GREY, like if this was an abandoned castle there should be a lot of overgrowth and vines etc.... I feel like there are way better options in Series 4. IMHO
I don't know that I'll get any of these (I still have 3 designer program sets I haven't built yet), but I love the angles for the front of the chocolate factory and the teal on the roof of the lost city.
For the life of me I don't know why they go to all the trouble of making these then have a limited number. Sure I understand the need for a minimum to go in production but if during the preorder window they can get 500 000 or what ever amount ordered and paid for why not go for it.
True. The scalpers don't help. But then again, these sets aren't intended for general audiences. These sets wouldn't even exist if they were distributed through LEGO's regular channels.
Friendly reminder that aside from any sticker sheets used, these BrickLink Designer sets will generally have pretty relatively available parts with minimal (if any) exclusive parts. Might be cheaper to part together instead of buying the full set, especially if you already have an extensive parts collection.
Thank you for that reminder. That is what I did with the Castle in the Forest last year. Cost me about $100 in parts along with many parts from the collection. It felt great to use up parts from my collection.
The Chocolate Shop is the one for me, but if I go for it, I'll be going for it with parts from my collection and a parts order, or two, or three. I can never get ALL the parts in that first order placed 😄
Thank you, Sam, I guess I wasn't clear with What I meant. What I was referring to was in the past I have just looked up parts to larger sets and ordered the parts that I didn't already own on Bricks & Pieces so I can build the set at a reduced cost. It's a great way to reduce costs, use up parts in your collection and spend a lot of time, a lot of time, with the hobby. Usually about halfway through the process, I think "Why am I doing this?" 😅@@samwalker8893
I like all of these but I don't know if I'll be able to snag one. If I had to it would be harbour master set, but we will see. There's a chance in October '24 I can do the star wars UCS set and if rumors are true I definitely want it
I like the vibe of the Lost City set, but as it's shown I wouldn't buy it. If it gets a significant enough re-design to fit with Lego standards and such, I might get it. The Harbormaster's office is also nice, but similarly it would need a bit of an overhaul. I don't like the castle and the chocolate stuff, just doesn't appeal to me. The camping one is cute, but yeah... It's so simple it might be easier to just part out what you need to make it.
These are all fan submitted designs, but not necessarily from Ideas. We get to vote on around 200+ designs for each series. LEGO then chooses 5 designs that enter crowdfunding.
The art of the chocolate would also make for a nice winter village set also.

I like the ruins. Can use as Atlantis type building and add to my underwater scene.
I agree with your 3 but out of them all the Chocolate one can take my money in an instant! Love it 😍
the lost city set is the coolest thing I've seen in awhile
Looks almost like a long-lost and overgrown Rivendell and I'm completely sold on the idea.

I think all the set are going to be 40% or 50% more than your guess, except maybe the first one:
250 / 425 / 300 / 325 / 90
Yep. Im going 450 guess on castle starting
I agree that your 3 picks are the best of this slate. I’m interested to see the prices.
I like the art of chocolate set, and the camping adventure
Really good sets 😊👍
Like you Alex, I picked the same 3. Keep Brickin.
I like the art of chocolate best. It's awesome. I wish it was an Ideas set. I won't be getting any of these. Too long a wait time for me.

Chocolate shop is a clear winner for me.
I think that will be an instant sellout.

Great video and information, thanks
Thanks and you're welcome!
I love the Lost City as well as the Art of Chocolate designs. Hopefully the former is below the $200 line given its prolific use of small pieces.
All are Beautyfull. But like you mentioned that would be expensive to buy. So choose one.....I gues it would be the Chocolate shop
I think that chocolate shop will be most people's favorite.
Buying these sets is way too difficult for the average consumer

I got all the sets I wanted u just have to be on timd
Good summary.

I would buy all 5 of these sets.

Its not that program, this is pre boxed bought sets

I've given up on the Bricklink Designer program. Too difficult to get the sets you are interested in.
I think it’s very weird that none of the series since the renewal has chosen modular compatible buildings (except the train station maybe?)
I wonder if LEGO is purposely trying to avoid hose. I feel like they want the monopoly on modulars.

I think the art of chocolate, Forest Stronghold and the Lost city are the best sets
So are theses like brick link exclusive sets?? Or would at lest one of these make a official LEGO set??
These are all fan submitted designs, but not necessarily from Ideas. We get to vote on around 200+ designs for each series. LEGO then chooses 5 designs that enter crowdfunding.
Questions: This is only sold Bricklink on Oct 1?
Don’t tell the wife “ 1000$ cost new sets
😂 $$$$$$
