- In this video I dive into some of the Anthurium care that has worked for me over the years.
It took me a while to bring out this video as I wanted to make sure the experiences I spoke about held true for most of my anthuriums, as I know they can be quite tricky to keep happy for most of us.

I have found that the moss collar stimulates root growth on the stem witch makes more roots. And when you have a good root system you get bigger leaves. This is my really long way of saying that I 100% agree with you. 😁 I put clear wrap around my moss collars so I can go longer between moistening the moss.
I recently ordered some cat collars (the ones they get from the vet after surgeries). Easier on the environment.

Very informative video, thank you. I have noticed that many mention humidity requirements. I think it is also important to add air movement necessity when humidity is high. Bacterial blight is a big issue with anthurium, as keeping the humidity high becomes priority without the issue of air movement being a sort of disclaimer. If that makes sense?

your vittarifolium is goals!!! I got mine cause Kaylee Ellen says they're relatively easy and I've been loving mine as it grows in regular room humidity. my vitchii is also doing quite well. Gonna try your sphagnum collar. love your videos!

What is "pon" ? You are the first plant person I have heard talk about that...................I do NOT have any anthuriums yet but there are several I have seen that I am lusting after 🙂 I have managed to keep several calatheas alive with some leaf loss.

My fist anthurium the mag x o ly have half of a leaf...Killed 15 dark complex seedlings already...Anthurium is hard and expensive but I love it and I really want to build my collection...
Thank you for this video. What is the ideal temperature for Anthurium Regale do you think? Google pages have different suggestions. I can have 20C at night and 23C at day for free, or use a heater to boost it up to 25C day and night but it costs. I'm happy to do it if the Regale prefers it or save money if its happier with a little cooler? Many thanks

Question. Does the moss collar work on alocasias?
My Vittarifolium: An inflo got stuck in the moss collar. I noticed when I saw a few berries. There was three. It self-pollinated, apparently. I got four seeds out of them. And just tonight I checked and saw they sprouted. How sweet is that?
Woop woop awesome on the berries yayyyy so exciting, yeah it's tricky to explain I don't fully cover the stem with moss, for that reason, just below the growing tip 😊

Hey there! In your experience - are anthuriums heavy feeders?? How often do you fertilize, and what do you use???
So with my anthuriums I fertilise little but often like my orchids, I fertilise with liquid gold leaf diluted to 1/4 strength every time or every other time I water and they seem to really appreciate it. But most of mine are also in Pon now

Omgosh, i love your vittarifolium. Its stunning. I have a couple and cant wait until they are as long as yours. One of mine has a tiny inflorescence, im wondering im able to take pollen from it and if so are they easy to pollinate?
I have a vitchii that is about as big as yours and it's leaves face upwards after they harden off. is this normal? Do you think they will face forward when the leaves get more mature and heavier? I noticed that your vitchii dose this as well. I have had mine directly underneath a grow light because I thought it was because it needed more light but it keeps doing it. 🤔
Awww yeah mine does that too, it's because I give it top down light which seems like what you are doing, if you move it to get light from the side the leaves should hang if that makes sense 😊
