Gareth lost a lot of weight, I hope everything is going well health wise, thank you Gareth and thank you FCP for another DIY video. We await more G05 content.
Finally videos coming in for G05. I bought mine new and still I want to do all my own services. Great guide, thank you! Can you maybe do a video on transfercase and differentials for G05 please? It looks more complicated than the previous gen.
Gareth dude you lost a lot of weight. I hope the weight loss is due to eating well and exercise not illness. BTW thanks for all the help for the F15 X5. Thanks to you, my new baby is running smoothly thanks to your vids.
Yessss, finally the G05. As someone who does all my own work on '21 4.0xdrive, I've been patiently waiting for these. If it's not too much to ask, can you cover drive line fluids and hi-pressure/low-pressure coolant systems, and for the love of God, how to properly jack up the rear (for those of us with lifts). Thanks a bunch, Gareth.
I am glad I am not going crazy. I changed the brakes on my G05 a few months ago and wondered why there wasn’t any of the little metal clips for the pads to slide on in my kit.
I went in with confidence watching this video for my first DIY pad replacement. I did the front brakes no problem, but ran into issues with the rear (not knowing about the parking brake, how to compress the piston, and lack of tools / software needed). Got the tools a few days later and replaced the rear pads. 100 miles on the new pads and all the sudden have concerning warnings. Just got a scanner and codes are: Brake Circuit Leak Detected, DSC Unit: major leakage in brake circuit, Air intake in linear actuator circuit, Parking Brake Left Actuator holding force not reached. I did bleed the brakes before and after the pad replacement; my understanding is there are two parts to bleed the wheels and then the DCS / ABS units which need BMW software to clear the codes? Now I can't drive my car. Please help!
Did a break job not that long ago followed everything you did and now I have a chassis fault warning and break warning as well Couldn’t clear with scanner so having to deal with this somehow with dealer or someone else
Be sure to check your wear pad sensors, and make sure everything is hooked up correctly! If you did the rear brakes too, it is important to retract and reset the electronic parking break properly.

I have ordered well over a thousand dollars in parts, but I know I have saved my self thousands by following there steps and doing the work my self.
Great work!

Thanks for video! Is there a sliding pins that usually needs to be lubricated?
More more more G05 vids please…….

@@fcpeuro would that automatically clear the code or do I have to plug up a scanner to clear ?
Is a good idea to anti-seize lug bolts?
How similar is this to F95 ?? The X5M ??
Do some e46 m3 diys! I gonna need them once I can afford it
We got plenty out, and always room for more!
Why you need to bleed, when nothing is open for air to come into the break line.🤔🤔🤔🤔
So you dont push dirty fluid/crud back up the brake lines and worse case scenario into the DSC(abs) unit
6:25 The rear pads and rotors on BMW's. Especially the G chassis. Do you need a special tool for the rear calipers?
You need a scan tool to put the e brake in service mode, or you can manually wind back the e brake caliper
Typically, we recommend a scan tool to retract the electronic parking brake!
@@Dom-e92Is similar like on Porshe Macan?
Please don’t tell me that screwdriver with the broken off tip is what you’re using….?
Seriously? Low effort low hanging fruit brake videos. E70/E71 xDrive engine mount how to. Now that is a video people want and need.
It's his car and it was due for service.
