Welcome to hell! Shit happens in Megaman alot...especially when you get to the Megaman Zero arc which is so far the most grim, dark and brutal part of the saga.
However makes me think that should they ever grow a backbone to do a game that chronicles the Elf Wars (the last part of the X series) I wonder brutal it would be? According the Zero series this was so far the most brutal event of the the original timeline (classic, x, zero, zx)...maybe the equivalent of the resent DC animated movie: Apokolips War? 😱 Oh-oh. Also it would be cool that if they really want to fit the Legends series onto the original timeline they should do first a sequel to ZX2, and eventually a big event in which results the world getting totally destroyed but reborn which will lead to Legends which also could turn out to be the darkest, most tragic, most bold and perhaps the most brutal event in the history Megaman in general. That could make the Elf Wars look like Seseme Street.

Thank God this was used for Final Fantasy Sonic X6's intro, and thank God even more I actually knew and played this game as a young kid, otherwise I would have never had childhood memories of this superb song.

There's also the buster sword from THE final fantasy series. used by sonic when he turns into super sonic. It is one of the best fan flash games ever made for sonic, it has a good plot and it had turn based combat.
Megaman X4 as a whole gives this melancholic and tragic vibe. It's ironic in that giving robots the ability to feel and love, Dr Light ended up creating a lot more suffering and pain, but can we really judge him for what he did? We as humans have the need to persist... to have some sort of legacy. At the end of the Classic Timeline, human beings are extinct and there's only Carbons, some sort of fusion between robots and humans. And I'm sure that without the work of Light, the world wouldn't have gotten to that point. Humans are inherently destructive, yet we hold the same power to create and to work for something better. Yet I'm sure that eventually we will end up doing something that we can't repair...
Yeah the original mega man timeline is the most messed up/ tragic of them all. Battle Network was less tragic given the fact software evolved rather than robots that eventually rose to genocide the human race.
Nope, Light's plan completely backfired. If he left everything alone there would be humans in the future as well and a lot of robotic violence avoided. He was trying to fix what was not broken.
Light's plan did backfire, but in the way that he ended up accomplishing absolutely nothing. Actual robotics regressed again due to the societal reset and ignoring the strange biology, the semi-mechanical hybrids are effectively still just humans for all it really matters.
Sans those who got infected with a regular virus or Sigma's virus,Light's vision for the future of mankind and robots ended up failing because Humans of the 22th Century were unable to understand what Light wanted with the construction of X. They were still thinking that the Reploids weren't different that the Robot Masters. In the end,to a human of the X series,a Reploid was just a Machine like the Robot Master. A Robot Master has a personality by default that can be programmed depending of the circumstances and needs of humans while the Reploids are truly like Human Beings mentally speaking. The Humanity of the X series never understood that and while we never see it because Sigma always has the spotlight and definitive a menaces that has to be eliminated,possibly the majority of Mavericks were just Reploids that refuses to obey a human's order. Heck,if the Repliforce wasn't manipulated by Sigma into doing a violent revolution against mankind,they can apply as an example. You can confirm my point of view by seeing the Definition of Maverick in the X series and the Zero series,in the 22th Century was Any Robot that cause chaos,regardless if it was on his own accord or by a virus,and in the 23th was Anyone,human or robot,that rebels against Neo Arcadia's government. By mixing the two races as they were able,you can see that in the ZX's games,that the Maverick term is barely use and applies to anyone because Humans and Robots are the same.

I’d say this is the best American and Japanese intro out of the games that wasn’t lost in translation. The instrumental the US used use a happyish tone depicting the characters relationship in 2 minutes. The lyrics for the Japanese track does a good job foreshadowing the plot. The lyrics roughly translated to “Why is love sharp as thorns?” Possibly foreshadowing the end of Iris and Zero relationship by the end of the game. There’s significant meaning to both of them, it’s all a matter of personal preference.
Man, what an amazing opening theme. I definitely prefer this over the American opening theme, as it overall fits better with the more melancholic vibe this entry in the Mega Man X series has. Heck, even without the context of Mega Man X this theme is still a banger!
I played FFSX as a kid, and now I have also played Rockman X4. Was surreal to finally play it and see all the sprites that got used in it. It’s actually tragic this song didn’t make it into the legacy collection release. Gonna buy a Japanese PS1 someday just to truly hear it.

I keep reading Final Fantasy Sonic X6 in the comments but for me, my first childhood experience to this was TTA (Tv Tome Adventures), before Kirb remade it as TOME later in 2011. This song played as the ending theme for the first season. That said, I'm going to play Megaman X4 too since the music and animation looks really good.

It's funny how i always came to listen this for both games. I had MegaMan X Collection for my PS2 (in which i found recently with completed save files for X4, X5 and X6 from 2013-2014) and i also liked Sonic a lot on that era, playing a shitload of flash games in a brazillian website called "click jogos (click games)" like Ultimate Flash Sonic but more specially, the entire FFSX series, which were always my favorite at the time, i even mistaked those for official lol. Man, i miss those times.

I love both the american and japanese openings.. The USA version gives me feelings of an actual action packaged game full of explosions and epicness.. but this version gives me a tragic story and tragic characters, love and what are they fighting for..

I’d say this is the best American and Japanese intro out of the games that wasn’t lost in translation.
The instrumental the US used use a happyish tone depicting the characters relationship in 2 minutes.
The lyrics for the Japanese track does a good job foreshadowing the plot. The lyrics roughly translated to “Why is love sharp as thorns?” Possibly foreshadowing the end of Iris and Zero relationship by the end of the game.
There’s significant meaning to both of them, it’s all a matter of personal preference.

Man, what an amazing opening theme. I definitely prefer this over the American opening theme, as it overall fits better with the more melancholic vibe this entry in the Mega Man X series has. Heck, even without the context of Mega Man X this theme is still a banger!

I played FFSX as a kid, and now I have also played Rockman X4. Was surreal to finally play it and see all the sprites that got used in it. It’s actually tragic this song didn’t make it into the legacy collection release. Gonna buy a Japanese PS1 someday just to truly hear it.
People mention Final Fantasy Sonic X6, I remember myself on my old PS1 as I played Rockman X4 back in Japan as a child. Nothing can top my childhood.

I keep reading Final Fantasy Sonic X6 in the comments but for me, my first childhood experience to this was TTA (Tv Tome Adventures), before Kirb remade it as TOME later in 2011. This song played as the ending theme for the first season. That said, I'm going to play Megaman X4 too since the music and animation looks really good.

@@lancelnce Final Fantasy Sonic X6, it's this old flash game, created by BlackDevilX, that was basically a crossover between the Sonic, Megaman X, and Final Fantasy series. It's a classic, I recommend you search it up and look for yourself, it's very cool!

It's funny how i always came to listen this for both games. I had MegaMan X Collection for my PS2 (in which i found recently with completed save files for X4, X5 and X6 from 2013-2014) and i also liked Sonic a lot on that era, playing a shitload of flash games in a brazillian website called "click jogos (click games)" like Ultimate Flash Sonic but more specially, the entire FFSX series, which were always my favorite at the time, i even mistaked those for official lol.
Man, i miss those times.
I used to play the final fantasy sonic x series 10 years later I almost tear thinking of the series and how the death of adobe flash will sestroy it

This is perhaps my favorite entry in the whole X series. Bought it when it was 1st released a little over 20 yrs ago for my PSX. It had gotten stolen 😡 Yet I was able to replace it about 10 yrs later.

I love both the american and japanese openings.. The USA version gives me feelings of an actual action packaged game full of explosions and epicness.. but this version gives me a tragic story and tragic characters, love and what are they fighting for..
If it wasnt for this game, song and dragonball in my childhood I wouldnt be the weeb I am today...
