Thanks Rickard for the tip on tying those rigs. It's getting time to start getting those rigs ready!! Look forward to seeing the canoe man loop video. Can you post the rod and reel info please?
Friend of mine who's shad fished with me for years came one day talking all kinds of trash about his "new rigs", he watched this video, junk stayed twisted up all day a d had like 10 pretied😂😂😂
Most people use a dart up top and a spoon down below. The dart can be an attractant for the fish. I have used one spoon, one dart, two spoons, two darts, and every combo including curly tail grubs. The dart up top and spoon down below is definitely where it's at. If it ain't broke, no need to fix it so to speak. They usually do bite the spoon as you stated(or the bottom jig regardless) but you will get more bites with a dual rig. Greetings from NC. The shad are running here in the creeks and rivers currently. 😎👍

May I ask what spoon you're using -- and where to get 'em?
Hi Captain Andrews can answer that richard@tarpamguide.com
Why are the Shad’s so big
how far can you cast with that setup? from bank not far enough?
Use a lighter line and you should be able to cast as far as you normally do
from the video most fishes were hooked by bottom rig. So what is benefit to add a higher jig as double rig setup?

You can also cast farther with the added weight of the dart. In peak run you can double as as well
Thats always nuts
