They used to have grass carp in those ponds when I lived out there so no weeds growing there
That water is so polluted.

RC is a gem all the way up to Lake Needwood but in general the DMV offers alot from Fresh to Saltwater! Largemouth, Smallmouth, Snakehead, Gar, Rockfish, Walleye, White and Yellow Perch, Pickerel...i even caught a Trout in RC on a spinning rod with just a hook no bait (no lure). Not too mention bluegills, schellcrackers, chubbs, carp, cats. Paint Branch, Northwest Branch, Patuxents, Patapscos...The Chesapeak Bay Watershed is serious business. We haven't even begun to talk about salt.

Moving to Raleigh from Florida never caught/seen a crappie. Are they in most bodies of water in that area? Or will it be hard to find one, will be bank fishing till I make friends with a boat owner
This specific spot is really good for them, for bank fishing any of the docks around Jordan/falls lake work well and there should be people there catching them to follow along with. Not particularly good for crappie, but there’s the falls dam trail race up north which holds crappie and all the other warm water species I highly recommend that spot
It’s sad that fish is probably dying out. His mouth is like that because some idiot liped him by his mouth like a bass and it broke his jaw and he can’t really eat anymore 😢

Where along four mile was this, I’ve been really looking into fishing but can’t seem to find any really close spots here in northern va.
Dunno if you're still in the area or looking, but this is just south of National Airport, by Potomac Yards metro station. There are a ton of catfish in the river, too.
Possible you could help me out with the stream name?
