Viki talks to Kevin and Joey about the possibility of running for mayor. Kevin is all for it if it will make the schoolyard safer. Joey wants to know if he will get his own Secret Service agent. Kevin announces to Clint that Viki will be the next mayor of Llanview, but Clint seems none too pleased at the idea. He points to the fact that Roger sits on the committee trying to draft her into the race-a fact that she initially kept from him-and opines that Roger is really the driving force behind this run. Clint accuses Viki of putting politics before their family or their marriage. Max wants to know whether Al is making up stories or if Gabrielle really took Al to church where he got to punch a punching bag. Andy keeps her mouth shut as Gabrielle weaves a tale about taking Al to see a preschool at Sacred Heart Church. Max isn’t buying it and accuses her of lying to him. Gabrielle uses his accusation as fuel for her argument that they both need to move on. She comes closer than ever to telling Max of her intentions to join the convent, but she chickens out at the last minute. Brenda admits she has good reason to be mad at Larry, but that he has good reason to be mad at her too. Larry says when he saw her and Michael hugging at the airport, he lost his temper.
Viki thinks the campaign can be a way for her and Clint to get closer, by working together towards a common goal. Clint doesn’t think so; he believes the added burden of the campaign will only serve to widen the trench between them. After Clint storms out, Viki calls Roger and asks him to meet her at Max’s Place. Max gets a call from his friend Conrad at Barry’s Bar & Grill; Conrad tells him Gabrielle is there right now having a very intense conversation with another man. Max heads out to see what is going on. After meeting with Roger, Viki apologizes to Clint and admits that some of her motives may have been selfish. She promises her first priority is always her family, but she isn’t satisfied just being a mother and wife; she needs more. She asks him to stand by her, but Clint turns it into another fight about Roger. He says if she wants to run for mayor she can do that, but she won’t have his support or his blessing.
Michael calls an assistant and inquires about about getting the mortgage for Brenda’s house transferred to him. At the restaurant, Father Vallone, offers Gabrielle the chance to move into the convent on a trial basis, allowing her to see whether it is a good fit and allowing the sisters to similarly evaluate her. Max sneaks into the restaurant and misreads what’s going on between Tony and Gabrielle. When he sees them embrace at the end of their discussion, Max pulls Gabrielle away and punches Tony in the face.
What do you all think about Clint not wanting Vicki to run for mayor? I personally think that she needs to stop spending so much time with Roger who is doing everything he can to pull her away from Clint. Clint is too possessive, but it's because a man who isn't her husband is manipulating her to some degree.
I wonder why this keeps cutting away from Michael and Brenda.
Hysterical! All of Gabrielle's passion for God in her decision, and she tells Max a bald-faced lie about going to church. Going to check out the preschool program, LOL

That scene w/ Andy max & Gabrielle was funny. Andy's face when max asked " what kind of preschool is this where the kids express themselves w/ violence?" Andy had to stifle laughs watching gabs try to lie her way out of it. Also max kept looking back at Andy cause she & gabby kept exchanging glances. Good scene. It is a little weird that viki talks to her sons that are not teens yet about her running for mayor but not her husband. If she thinks Clint will blow up at it then why stay married honestly. Of course vikis kids would love their mom to run for mayor. What kid wouldn't think that's exciting & cool. It's also strange that Jesse in a matter of months will be like 10 while her cousin cj only a year younger is like 7 years younger.

That SORASing of Jessica is one of the reasons I quit in '92. It totally undermines Cord's argument with Tina at the airport when she was leaving in '90. "C.J. and Jessica were practically born together."
Really would have liked to have seen the scenes with Larry and Brenda...could've been their breakup scene. OLTL was always vague on details with these two(and Dan and Michael)
I guess the ppl that always provided the info were too invested in the Buch's and only wanted to give info squrely around them.
Yeah, it definitely included their breakup scene. I'll definitely keep searching for more-complete versions of those episodes...you never know what might turn up eventually.
Omg max good one u just decked q priest lol. I wonder how many hail Mary's he has to say at confession lol. It was funny how he was dragging gabby put for a little tiny girl she's tough. When viki gets really mad she's scary. When she stood up after Clint said he won't stand by her whoa" OKAY!!!! I will run & win w/ or w/o u!" I wish she threw in an " at tall!" Clint honey it's pretty clear viki doesn't care about the marriage anymore. If u have to run to Arizona or her to her cabin or him sleeping in his office & that's rough after 3 kids 2 Clint adopted & like a decade together ur wife says u & the kids are not enough time to go.
