One Life to Live 1/31/1990

Sarah pledges her full support to Viki’s campaign, but Bo is less forthcoming and says he hasn’t yet made up his mind. Max returns to work at Fraternity Row and Megan is glad to see he’s made a full recovery. He tells her Gabrielle is joining a convent. Megan has much the same reaction as everyone else so far: she is disbelieving and initially believes Max is joking. Sister Amelia worries that she acted too hastily in allowing Gabrielle to enter the convent last night. She worries that Gabrielle is trying to become a nun for the wrong reasons: to run away from Max rather than running towards God. Father Vallone promises to arrange a visit from Al, and he promises to keep her location secret from Max. Prince Raymond excoriates Dorian for her article and he suggests if she cannot support his and his government that she leave the country. Dorian tells Roland she thinks she went too far in penning the op-end, but Roland doesn’t think she went far enough. Roland says there’s only one way to boost his brother’s confidence and that is to get Sarah Gordon to come to Mendorra and continue working with Raymond. Dorian agrees to go back to Llanview to try and persuade Sarah to make the trip.
Bo asks Roger whether he really wants Viki to be mayor or if he’s just managing the campaign so it will be easier for him to move in on Viki. Max visits Julia to try and find out where Gabrielle is, but Julia says she has no idea. Michael offers to engage his business connections to help fundraise for Viki’s campaign, He also offers to connect her with some friends in the business community who might act as informal advisors to her campaign and administration. Viki fears his support comes with too many strings attached; she says she will choose her own advisors and says she can win without his support. Sarah is proud of Viki for standing up to Michael, but Viki knows she’s just made a very powerful enemy. Father Vallone goes to see Julia and he admits that he and Sister Amelia agree that Gabrielle may not belong in the convent. He thinks perhaps she won’t be able to say goodbye to Al and will realize she doesn’t belong in the convent. Megan congratulates Viki on her campaign and promises to devote every waking hour to helping get her mother elected. Gabrielle says a tearful goodbye to Al and-despite Father Vallone’s predictions-sends him back to be with Max. Raymond calls Megan to catch up, but he once again rejects her offer of a visit. After the call he tells Klaus the reason for his insistence: it’s too dangerous for her to come to Mendorra.
[Final scene cuts out abruptly.]

I love the "in the real world" speech by Michael...LOL.. Michael, in the real world you wouldn't be standing there talking to someone you once kidnapped about helping them with their political campaign

Oh Julia gabby was not brainwashed in fact fr Tony & Sr Amelia have tried to talk her out of it b/c Amelia nailed it that gabs is using the convent to escape her problems. Gabrielle actually keeps crying & guilting Amelia into pushing her way in like she did again today crying & pleading to not turn her away. It's manipulative. Also they do see an issue w/ her dumping her little boy esp after she barely saw him the entire year b4. She was trapped in eterna max won full custody

I'm interested to find what prince Roland's angle was in getting Sarah involved. Love seeing Dorian again. If I was Sr. Amelia I'd kick gabby out. She's clearly using the church to escape b/c she has another obsession about max dying if she dates him. If she never ran to that convent max never wouod have had the accident. I love Megan's hair. It looks great. She's had it up mostly so seeing it grown to this length was the best her hair looked. Max as someone mentioned was awesome in how he stayed on such great terms w/ his ex's Megan & Tina later he stays friends In the 90s w/ Leeann Demarest, the mother of Kevin's son Duke. He also did manage when gabby returned a decade later to also stay friends. I thought when max exited the show instead of killing off gabs next to a toilet she should have went w/ him to Argentina esp w/ Al's death. They'd come full circle to their origins & it's where al was conceived & born. I guess it's good bo is defending his brother but if viki wants to run for mayor it's not any bukes buisness & this is where Clint should have ended it . Viki constantly wants to do things he hates that she's doing. They are Def on different paths for the past year & the next couple years. I'm also surprised bo became more family w/ viki after she divorced Clint.

Wow I miss TINA LORD oh ready she was great actress it would have been a great storyline if Tina stayed to the end of February when mondora storyline end and would have been disappears and later they would have her back
