    Wash it, wax it and SELL IT! It looks great and will make an amazing daily for a lucky Panther Platform enthusiast like most of us are!! Great find and I’m glad that “Papa Bear” is refusing to work until you get him a nice desk with a large desk chair that also massages his hardworking back 😂🙏🏻💪🏻

    Get it running and detailed and sell as is. Put a little money in it: new tires, plugs, oil, coolant, serpentine, fuel pump, fuel refresh, fix that light control. It will buff out nice enough. Its a nice Lincoln overall.

    I don't get why so many people fail on purchasing a car cover for cars that land in their garages for eons? My Grandmother wasn't a car person, but when her new 1954 Corvette Convertible was delivered & parked in her garage, she immediately covered it with old blankets, sheets & whatever she could find that was soft. That car was her biggest secret because she never told anyone she had it! It was resurrected 35 years later when they pulled it out by winches. All the rubber parts & tires were completely dry rotted, but other than that, the car was absolutely clean as a whistle & looked brand-new with the original 11 miles on the odometer! Later I was told one of her neighbors saw it in there & made her an offer. $1,500 & she accepted it.

      My Dad had a 96 signature. Silver with full black canvas roof.
      Car was a dream to ride in. Got tons of looks to.
      The manifold went and Dad didn’t want to fix it, it was only $800 to fix. I miss it.

    It's actually cleaner than I anticipated, especially the undercarriage. It's a nice color combo, great miles too. I'd get it running, do just what it needs with respect to it's operation, clean it and offer it at a decent price that someone needs it and would appreciate it. Making it better for themselves. Maybe do a "pair sale" with the lighter color one?

    I had a navy blue 1997 just like this, Signature Series. The only issues I EVER had was, at around 150k miles, the air suspension had issues, so I went to a junkyard and bought/replaced the air springs, then a few mos. later, the little compressor went bad so I replaced it, never had another issue with that; later, I had issues with the fuel pump. Those were the only problems I ever had with that car.

    Anthony, I have a son his name is Nicholas. He’s driving that 05 Limited with the roof problem over the passenger rear door car has 250,000 miles on it. Been banged up a little bit so I know he’s definitely in the market for another Lincoln and he, loved my Jack Nicholas signature series 1996 that I had when he was about 14 years old I got rid of it and he was mad at me. He wanted me to save it for him. I always felt bad about that so I’m sure Nick would love that executive series Blue town car with that nice blue interior so keep the Vassello family on the back burner. We’re interested.

    You probably already know this but go in the trunk and bypass the fuel pump driver module. This can help break the fuel pump free after sitting so long. It's 50/50 but I have gotten several Panther platform cars to break free after sitting idle so long.

    I say clean it well, service it, & fix what's needed to get it running properly. Then sell it as-is for a decent profit. The cosmetic stuff is easy, especially since there's no rust and it's accident-free.

    @PatrickDKing 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I'd do your full makeover on all mechanical stuff and not bother with looks so much to offer it as an "as is discounted special" that might night be fully detailed but has been fixed so that it is mechanically reliable so someone can save a bit on a low mileage car that isn't necessarily in mint physical condition. I think some of us would like to get some of these cars but can't quite afford the $20k-$30k price tag on a museum looking car. Or go all baller and do everything and I'm sure someone on TH-cam will still buy it.
    Also, waiting on the five hours of B roll footage that it took you to back up the trailer straight lol.

    Except for the damage on the right side, it's a very clean car. The undercarriage seems to be in great condition. This isn't the 87 Brougham that you put back together. This is a 97 Town Car with a little under 56k miles on it. If it doesn't need major mechanical repairs, I'd dress it up and sell it like any other of your great offerings.

    I am so glad this one worked out (never would of thought it would happen from a random reddit post haha!), at least to this point. Id definitely say a good detail and some basic prep work could bring this one back to a sellable condition, the miles and low wear on the interior is obviously what saves it. Its possibly not one for the largest price tag/profit out of your collection but I do think this could be brought to a position where it could be sold to the right buyer who accepts it as is - there will be someone out there in our community I'm sure! Ill make sure to keep on scanning reddit, the TC community on there is fairly active.
