I'm a car guy and love all the beautiful heavies. More than that... you and your Dad's relationship. You're lucky to have each other. My Dad has been gone 6 years, give anything for another ride in the Fleetwood with him.
I think you were underselling the value on that Benz at $5000 all fixed up and running, that thing was NICE cosmetically. Those have come up in value a good bit the past few years for nice ones, miles don't really affect the value as much as condition/provenance(aka 1 owner who fixed stuff when it broke, shop records, etc).
@@wileecoyote5749 With the current insanity going on around “semi-classic” cars, you’re barely exaggerating. I could totally see it go for that price on Bring A Trailer after a fierce auction and the comment thread congratulating the buyer on how great a deal he got 😂
I love that Lincoln rounded off the TCs and customers and dealers still found a way to install a carriage roof. Hopefully the dented bumper plastic works out for you! I would have passed up the Benz too. Great trip!
Yes...you're absolutely right when you said, I need to own an enclosed trailer!" I watch you buy and sell some awesome cars, but you still have an open trailer?! Stop procrastinating, and get one already!! Did I say you have awesome cars? 🙂 Sorry for the rant...just do it Cheers
Wow what a treat! Love to see the road trips! Love these vintage Cadillacs and Lincolns! What an incredible relationship you and Papa bear have Thanks for sharing the great vibes!
Hey Anthony and Papa Bear. What an amazing car with that low mileage. Unbelievable!!! I love the color combination and the light bar across the back. My 1971 Lincoln Town car had that... Another great find guys. Keep up the good work. Be safe !!!
To heck with the Benz, the Town Car is where it is at! It is a real shame that cars like this are not built by Ford anymore. I really enjoy following your channel as you find some really nice domestic cars. Plate C
Oops that was a type o. Anthony, I like the fact you work everyday with your father, I would give anything to work with my dad again. We lost him back in 1996. God bless you guys.
Hey Anthony & Papa Bear, wow, this Town Car has half the miles I predicted!!! It's going to be a real gem once you get it running!!! Thanks for taking me along on another one of your exciting adventures!!! 👍👍🙂
Great video…if I’d known you were going to be driving within 40 miles of my home I would have waved as you drove by (twice)…thanks for the great story!
Thx Anthony that was fun going on the road with youse guys. I was thinking you and Papa Bear are like Indiana Jones and his Dad out looking for archeological finds together. Haha. Also, when you are out cruising them Interstates you GOTTA that "Holiday Road" song from National Lampoon's "Vacation" movie in your clip. You guys are the best. Enjoy these times boys. Keep feeding the Bears and your travels will be trouble free. Ciao Belli.
An friend passed from a long battle with cancer leaving a couple of low, low mileage TC's in his garage. It took a lot of work getting them back into to where they were safe to drive and sell. Letting them sit can be hard on them.
As soon as you zoomed in on Papa Bear's slippers, my wife looked at me and shouted "THAT'S YOU!" It may be cold out, but those old man slippers are the most comfy thing to wear while driving! Great job and looking forward to what is next!
That Town Car is AMAZING and a once-in-a-lifetime buy and congrats on that one. The blue Mercedes SEL looked fantastic. And I feel the same as you. Once I see a half started project and pieces thrown about and missing, my interest starts to wane. Good luck with that TC!
Just amazing to find that Lincoln with that low of mileage. The trip was long I know. But, your flipping these. And looking forward to see it going. Thank you for sharing!
I love to see yall get this cars I think I like the fixer uppers the best I've learned alot watching your videos cadillacs are on a platform of there own thanks John
You were giving me anxiety with that Lincoln, Im thinking to myself, Just open the friggin garage door. hahaha, Gorgeous car, Juat not my color. As William Mittica said" Your relationship with your Dad is heartwarming. I lost my Father in 1988 at 49 years old. Just lost my mom and my pet of 18 years in a 5 day span and I'm broken hearted. I see you and Papa and It sincerely touches me. Your Dad, Your best friend, That's what it's all about. Time for me to get up there soon, Would love to meet you and Papa.
Hey Anthony...love you guys!! But don't be so dramatic with the title....I thought something really bad happened! Maybe I'm the dramatic one!🤣 Car dirty but not ruined! Keep em coming!! Love seeing these cars!! Peace and many blessings
This Lincoln town car you have was a Roto Lincoln dealership car out of Arlington Heights on Rand road. I used to work there many years ago. Right around the time the car was originally purchased!!
Wow is this amazing. No one better to get the car back and running, take care of the car, get every detail right. Wow, 3,998 miles. Just wow. Love the light bar!!! Love the color actually. Just not a big fan of those tops.
The rusty vehicle on the trailer y'all were asking about approximately 23 minutes into the video is an M3 Scout Car used by the United States Army - and our allies - during WWII predominantly. While fast & reliable, it was considered a disappointment to the Army brass due to its poor off-road performance & lack of overhead protection. At least with the US Army, it was largely phased out of service by 1943 by the six-wheeled M8 Greyhound but was still retained for rear-area security and convoy escort duty. It's biggest claim to fame was the fact that General Patton used one of these vehicles as his command vehicle (though it had added armor and a raised fighting compartment).
Anthony you and Papa Bear are 🔥🔥. I really enjoy the trips and seeing the other things you guys do. Keep the videos coming and 1 day I will be able to buy one of these time capsules.
Had some flashbacks to my New England days when I saw that whiteout action on the road with the high beams. haha. Don't get much of that here in Dallas...and don't want it. LOL Will be watching for both LTC's...do I "need" one? No, but would I like one? YEP. Haha. Always good to make it home safe from a long road trip! Lots of washing on those things, truck, Lincoln and the trailer too.
you guys have great vehicles. we in stl Missouri haven't seen blizzard yet this year but we've had 5 degree mornings with sunshine that sunshine will fool ya.
Much cudos to you tony and your papa for driving in extreme lake effect snow to retrieve the Lincoln Town car glad you guys made it safely home can't wait to see more of the town car
My Dad was a Lincoln guy and Mechanic for Years @Shore City Lincoln Mercury in Warwick RI until they closed the dealership... He would have broke down in tears to see that Lincoln getting pounded by salt and stones... My 1st Lincoln was a 1988 Lincoln MK 7 LSC Coupe....What a Sweet ride ...It was a shame that the airbag suspension crapped out it would have cost Me too much to fix... Nowadays the have after market replacements bags and conversion kits with regular shocks to replace them... It was a Beautiful car white with a grey gut...it also had the white BBS Wheels....I wish I could find another one 😕
The video was great to watch for the travel aspect. I think that is great. It is interesting to see where you go and the people you get to meet when you can. Too bad about that snow. You said you got a Lincoln Town Car from Houston. I smiled as I am in Houston. I think that is great.
Awesome video, welcome to my home town guys!! Where, yes -it just snows whenever the hell it feels like it. Impossible to keep a clean car here in these months, I don't know how you managed to have a clean truck after that trip either. That was sheer luck!

It's like you two hit the jackpot with this Lincoln!!! I would just keep it!!! There will probably not be another one with that unbelievably low mileage!!!
I could be wrong but if the color of that car came through on my phone correctly....that TC is actually Spruce Green. I know because I have a '98 Mercury Grand Marquis that same color. I know..I know....it looks gray. Open hood or trunk and look where there is no clearcoat. It will become more apparent. It is definitely green...maybe with a hint of gray. It is FoMoCo spec code 'FS' on the Ford Mftrng label on the door jam. At least that is the color it looked like to me. But a quick check of the door label will verify it. I love your videos and think it is great you are keeping these old full sized sedans on the road and in the hands of owners who appreciate them. Good work...keep it up.👍

Anthony, smart move walking away from the Mercedes. Couldn’t you guys carry around a large car cover to use in bad weather, or are you afraid the wind would make it flap against the car at high speed?
Stop by Tony! I'm in Milwaukee. You should just make some kind of canvas top for ur trailer.....even just build something that would cover half of the car....weld some rods to the trailer in the shape of an upside down U, and cover with canvas or even sheet metal....Awesome find and unheard-of low mileage!

yes, the condition was amazing for having that many miles on it - but realistically, that engine is nearing end of life, even for a deisel.

how does someone by a car like this - probably every bit of $40k when new - and never drive it?
Probably someone like me who's afraid of denting his $500 beaters let alone a brand new luxury car.

Great Lincoln find Anthony. Where do you find these cars. All that's around lake county Ohio is high mileage rusty ones haha. Thanks. Nick.
Great find! Hey I’m upgrading my enclosed trailer you need my old one!
