I left for 2 days once to go on a mini family vacation. When we came back someone had broken in, robbed us blind and they took all of the copper piping out of the house. They were eventually caught when they tried to sell the copper pipes at a scrap yard. At least they were nice enough to shut the water off first.
I've lived in Memphis all my life and watching this video it is sad that me hearing 300+ murders for my city and thinking it is normal. Some people have a way better path than others. Everybody be safe and blessed wherever you are!
I'm from 70yrs worth. Memphis has some the slowest dumbest people I've ever seen who are here today. Memphis pulls in people from Mississippi, Arkansas, and New York. All unqualified and puts them in the best paying jobs. New Yorkers come here and buy very nice homes for same price they paid for a little 7 room home in New York and get stiff necked.
My brother told me about the increase in homicides in Memphis and several are unsolved… MPD can’t keep up with the crime. That’s a 100 death increase from 2019. So most are unsolved. I’ve been seriously considering moving.
I live in Las Vegas and I was born and raised here. I can definitely attest to crime on the strip being under reported in numbers and also pretty much black listed from local news as well. You need to go on specific websites/independent journalism to read about the crimes in the hotels.
I often wonder why people go there on vacation. They are all excited I'm just thinking of the whitewater rafting somewhere Hill go climbing somewhere The marijuana trying to get legalized gambling they said okay give it to the schools oh, that never helped it went right back in the casinos to make the Irwin
That's how it works in tourist dependent cities. My city even hides how hot it really is here by using a thermometer placed in a grassy area with afternoon shade...pretty shady if ya ask me.
As a Georgia native, who also grew up in College Park, I was not surprised to see it named the most dangerous. Our house was broken into multiple times when I was child, and it did not stop. My brother's car was also broken into multiple times.
I have a friend that used to live in Florida city. I hated visiting him. He lived in a gated community and he told me of an incident where the police found a dead baby in one of the dumpsters of his community. It's a horrible place.
I live in Riverton Wyoming. The last place mentioned on this list. It’s incredibly depressing and the crime rate is higher than you think, Personally, last year I’ve lost 3 buddies in high school to drunk driving, and 2 buddies have committed suicide, I’ve heard from the high school about a suicide every 3 months or so, comfort dogs are a common sight in our school. I used to live in Glendale Colorado before moving to another suburb of the Denver metro- I remember hearing a couple gun shots, the apartment management was always reporting package thefts, and homeless on the street at night, among other things like a pest problem but would have never thought that was one of the most dangerous cities to live…statistically at least.
Same, I was kinda surprised. Hell, I woulda thought Commerce City or Pueblo woulda been the worst of CO. , from my personal experience. & I’ve lived all over the state
Front range in general has a lot more crime than you'd think. Lived in Fort Collins for a few years and had my locked up bike stolen from outside my apartment. A lot of the people I got to know in Colorado had something stolen or had a car broken into.
Pueblo was my initial guess going into this. But Denver metro and a large portion of the front range have seen a big uptick in crime in recent years. Not violent crime necessarily, but theft is big. Cost of living has gotten out of control and the homeless population has exploded as other states have filled up buses to send them to Colorado. Substance abuse and theft have risen from both.
Having lived in Fargo for my whole life of 47 years I can tell you with much confidence that the crime statistics that are used hardly even scratch the surface. There are many crimes that aren’t reported.
@@dellawatson1669 It simply means that cities and regions tend to be WORSE than the stats show, but they can NEVER be better than the stats show. So everyone who's screaming: "The stats are lying! I'll be visiting Fargo soon. Drekker Brewing mostly ,but I'm sure I'll wonder around the dt area a bit too. Also ,Junkyard brewery just across the river in Moorehead, MN. I don't think I'll be worried about crime to much while I'm in either of those towns though ,lol

I lived in El Paso, Texas most of my childhood. It's on the border of Texas and Mexico 🇲🇽 on the Rio Grande River. Yes there were gangs. One in particular are called Cholos. The only bad thing is that there's not many trees. It's in the freaking desert.
As a military kid, growing up while my dad was serving in West Germany, even as young as 5 years old, the Cold War was still going on. There were hardcore terrorists groups that would bomb 💣 places, kidnap high ranking officials, and incite riots and protests. This made me very vigilant and try to be aware of people and my surroundings. And you can learn a lot just by listening to the atmosphere around you. When the birds aren't whistling, this means something is about to happen.
I live in Vegas and my mother had Jury Duty. The case was a gas station robbery in North Las Vegas. A gang robbed the gas station, kidnapped the clerk, tortured him, and killed him. Then, they put the body in a stolen car and exploded the car. The main gang member was caught on interstate 15 fleeing to Los Angeles. He was charged with homicide, kidnapping, robbery, and murder. He was charged for 150 years in prison. The other gang members have not been caught yet. All of this happened 2 years ago in 2019 and they are trialing him in 2021! My mom said she was happy that they didn't accept her. 17:20 and yes you are right, there is almost a weed store almost every block! And my parents had drunk homeless crying in our porch, twice!! And the education in Nevada sucks! And there is almost a DUI almost every day. And people here suck at driving. And the heat is unbelievable in the summer, it can get as high as 116 Degrees F in the summer, so hot that it can melt car paint and touching a 116 degrees setbelt is not pleasant. The casinos is overwhelming and for a pre teen, there is nothing to do. The park is a bad idea because of the heat, to drink, smoke, gamble, and to enter a nightclub, you need to be 21, to drive a car you need to be 16, and once your older than 7, Chuck E Cheese is not fun. And in all of Nevada, there is only one Dave and Buster's, but most people cant go because they are in poverty! But there are some pros Las Vegas is a 4 hour drive from LA, 3 hour drive from Phoenix, 2 hour drive from the famous Area 51, and a 8 hour drive from Reno, (which in my opinion, Reno is a smaller mix of LA and Las Vegas). We also have lots of cool, fun, casinos (well for adults i guess), we are also a hour and a half drive from Pahrump, where you can legally buy fireworks and have prostitutes! We also have the mob museum, which is very cool. We also have hoover dam, Lake Las Vegas, Anthem (Las Vegas version of Beverly Hills with less crime and Hollywood actors) Henderson (A cheaper version of Anthem), LAS (McCarran International Airport, which is the best airport in man kind), lots of cool cars that you can rent, and lots of malls Like Town Square and Fashion Show Mall. I am from NJ and I was just recently in Atlantic City again after 3 years. It has gotten worse! I never used to get that nervous walking the Boardwalk at night but this time around it had a whole different vibe. I felt like I was getting leered at by every homeless person out there and might of gotten mugged for my money, or worse.
If there's one takeaway for me from this video, it's that our government policies, doing nothing to stop manufacturing and rural industry from moving to other countries, have gutted rural communities and led to high crime rates and suffering there. People are flocking to cities for service-industry and tech jobs, leaving their communities hollow, boarded-up. Some are stuck in those small towns, unable to leave. Once the tech jobs are done being outsourced--phew, I don't even want to consider the aftermath.
Having lived in both garden City, ID and S Salt Lake, UT I would say this holds up. It’s crazy how fast you go from a nice city to an abandoned-esq dump. I was literally in South Salt Lake yesterday and was like, “man I forgot how ghetto this area looks!”

Lived very close to Mayfield, KY for 7 years. Went to that town very frequently, and never felt threatened or witnessed any crimes. There was one murder I know about and the town talked about it for months if not over a year. The drug issue is definitely a big problem Mayfield has. But it's not as bad as statistics made it to be. I thought Camden would have been New Jerseys pick but I'm definitely not surprised about Atlantic City because the hood is only a few blocks from the casinos 🤦♀️🤦♀️
It seemed like every time a casino was brought up this guy assumed that the gamblers were the ones commuting the crimes? That’s hilarious to me and such a far fetched ridiculous assumption to make especially that a very high amount of tourists are the ones visiting to play games with their own money I don’t know just my opinion I guess but as a gambler that isn’t a criminal it was kind of offensive can’t wait to visit the Borgata in Atlantic City on Monday a have the best steak dinner at Old Homestead for about 150$ I guess I better hit the streets and start mugging people! Hahahahaha foh!! Also did I miss New York being on this list?
As fucked up as Camden is, it still has some things going for it that AC lacks: Rutgers has a campus there and the PATCO Speedline to Philly is a 24 hour transit system. Camden overall has decent access to jobs in NJ and PA and ways to get there compared to AC.
I like the drone video of Lagoon Blvd in Brigantine. I lived in Brigantine for years and never visited the boardwalk until my 98lb niece and her 120lb fiancé came to visit me from Ohio. Some 250lb black guy pushed my niece to the ground for no reason. Her fiancé jumped in to save her while we were surrounded by 6 other black guys. I grabbed them both and dragged them into to casino. That was scary. That same year on July 4th weekend an old Canadian woman had her throat cut and her daughter went to help her and had her throat cut too.
I used to live near Emeryville CA. Despite what's said in this video it's actually not too bad of a place in some areas. Pixar's headquarters are even located there. I used to go there a lot when I was under 10 years old. Admittedly, there are some bad parts and lots of homeless people, but the good parts are actually really great. It was honestly funny seeing a town so close to where I used to live being the most dangerous city in America lmao. I moved away from there about 4 years ago so it might have changed, but Emeryville isn't as bad as it seems.
This dude is judging how bad a neighborhood is by looking at the shape of the buildings. The worst neighborhoods are 20 minutes south east of downtown, and a few uptown and northwest of downtown. The ones south east is where the major crime happens, the ones just north of downtown are mainly just homeless people camps. Like just blocks of tents. Emeryville is like 10-15 minutes northwest of the homeless people area. Like 30-40 minutes from the crime hood. Oakland has a crazy amount of graffiti everywhere so some places look worse than they are.
I lived in Las Vegas, and managed to never get into a violent crime or getting my house robbed, life was actually good for me. Nothing bad happened with me. Now I live in a different city, but honestly, many people were actually super nice to me and my family. I don't know how, but yeah life was decent.
I currently live in Vegas. Hoenstly it's just a respect thing. If people either don't know who you are or respect you (well in the hood anyway like where I live), then they won't mess with you. Alot of crimes are people who disrespect or just people who don't know anything about the area so they are too gullible
Seeing Mayfield on here knowing that community got completely flattened by an EF4 tornado late in 2021 saddens me, but also gives me hope that the community will recover. Few things reverse fortunes for a city than bouncing back from an unavoidable catastrophe like a storm.
@@jessturner6886 I remember watching one of those storm chaser shows when they were near Greensburg when it happened. They drove through right after and it was devastating to see. Wasn't it like 90% of the town's buildings were wiped out? I've gone on Google Street View recently to see it and it looks so nice. They really ran with their name and tried to make their town as green as possible.
I went to myrtle beach on vacation and a junky ended up running off with my money . It was my stupidity tho. I should have known better . People had nice rides out there tho.
I worked in Emeryville, Ca. for a year. I'd pull in to the area super early in the morning to avoid traffic and just sleep before we'd start at 6am. Never saw or even heard anything. It was really nice during the day also. We'd take lunch outside on the city provided park benches. Never ever did we see trouble. Not once. The job was down the street and three blocks west of city hall. Had a small town feel to it. I was surprised to see it's rating.

Definitely don’t walk around at night you’ll probably get robbed or worse. I’m glad I was raised to have a better life I moved out of canton thanks to a factory job paying me decent.
I am glad you got out, I worked in downtown akron for two years, akron and canton are just getting so bad it bums me out, and I live closer to cleveland so that says a lot
I grew up in that part of Biloxi that was shown in the video and there are other cities on the coast that are far worse. And I would put the state capital, Jackson, as one of the country's most dangerous, not just the state. Biloxi has casinos, just like Las Vegas and Atlantic City, that are also on the list. That is what attracts criminals. They are preying on tourist with money.
I'm born and raised on the coast, and Jackson is pretty rough. I've lived in Gulfport most my life and still do, but I know a couple places that would make Biloxi look presentable lol. A couple blocks in moss point, a couple streets over in Gautier, and a good little area of downtown Gulfport can get you caught up, but Jackson is worse in my opinion.
Yep. I'm a Vegas resident for 16 years and I've noticed increase in crime in the past 7 years. It's disgusting. We're getting a lot of criminal transplants from California and other states.
I've lived here all my life aside from 8 years in the military. Statistically late 80's were still worse for crime, but I definitely notice some problems coming up the past 10 years or so, much of it drug related. I don't understand what the appeal of meth is, and why so many people do it.
I lived in Fairfield, Alabama for 56 days. The daily gunfire was way too much. Most folks I met were nice but I wasn't impressed. I was going to try to make it work and looked around Vestavia Hills then I said forget it, came back to rural Georgia. As someone who grew up just 15 minutes south of Canton, OH, I was honestly SHOCKED to see it as the most dangerous city. I knew things had been getting bad lately but wow. I really expected to see something like Cleveland or Cincy
I was born and raised in Canton and was shocked. Toledo and Cleveland are definitely crazier on a day to day basis. Canton just has too much crime for the size, which makes it uncomfortable whether you’re in a good neighborhood or not.
Cincy, cleveland, Dayton, toledo, Akron, Youngstown, Springfield, Columbus, canton... shit and I don't even know much about the parts in eastern Ohio like portsmouth but I heard it's very active out there
I live 20 minutes away from Benton Harbor, Michigan. Always used to hang out with a friend and bike with him around there. I never felt a sense of impending danger while visiting there but I've heard of shady things happening. It's the most viable commercial area that those from the surrounding small towns have to drive to buy more niche products other than groceries, not that it's the BEST commercial area but relative to it's surroundings it's what you got.

Thanks for another great and informative video. As a "digital nomad" myself, I am traveling all over the country and definitely pay close attention to the towns you mention in your videos. I did however want to point something out. Like you, I used to determine the # of people who were victims simply by dividing the population by the # of crimes. So if there are 200 assaults in a city of 2,000, then we could say that 1 in 10 people were victims of an assault. But that doesn't consider that most victims tend to be re-victimized numerous times. For example, if you live in a bad neighborhood, or you have a violent spouse, then you may be calling the police once per week... making the same person a victim... multiple times. So even if there are 200 assaults, this could mean there were just 20 or 30 victims. I just wanted to point this out. Other than that, please continue making these amazing videos. Excellent narrative and great content. :-)
Mt.Vernon Illinois was a shock to me. I spent a summer there 20 years ago and I would describe it as a sleepy little farm town. I used to drink at a little bar that was frequented by a cop. When I was going to leave early because I was concerned about DWI, the deputy told me that if I was pulled over to just tell them I was hanging out with him.
It’s definitely a per capita statistic, Chicago has areas that turn into war zones some nights. I’d personally take Mt. Vernon all day over the south side.
I grew up in Jefferson County where Mt. Vernon is located. My great great grandfather and family was actually one of the first families to settle in Jefferson County in 1851. I left there in 1965 after Army and never went back except to visit. I still have lots of friends and relatives that live in that area. I was amazed that the city is rated worse than Chicago. Like Jim when I was a teenager hitting all the bars I knew all the policemen and state policeman assigned to Mt. Vernon. When they stopped me which was often (LOL) they always told me to get my tail home. I only recall getting one traffic ticket in Mt. Vernon when I was home on leave from that Army. The town I live in, in Tennessee is pretty safe other than people who are addicted to substances. But it could be worse ya know? Just a bunch of people with their own issues. I got caught up in my own addiction but I've been sober 3 years 2 months and 6 days! I stay away from everyone now. I dont ever want to go back into that lifestyle again.
As an Indiana native I live 30 minutes away from South Bend & an hour away from Benton Harbor, these stats don't even cover half of the crime in these places. The amount of unreported crime would scare you! They also didn't mention that people just disappear, here today gone...tomorrow and no one says a word. Families left to wonder where there loved one is and all anyone says is "they're an adult, they can leave if they want to". Also, the absolute WORST thing to happen to South Bend was there mayor, good ol Pete Buttiguge (not sure of the spelling). The city was on the uptick until he came into office. With every passing year it got exponentially worse!
South Bend is the only town on this list that I spent any time in. That was many many years ago. I was there with my parents. Nothing bad happened but my folks decided to move to Tennessee after only two months in South Bend. The reason: My Dad's job fell through. I agree about Mayor Pete. He's in over his head just like the Veep. Both of their jobs should fall through. In my opinion.
I live in Louisville myself, how does our 100 or so murders so far this year stack up against the rest of the country? I live in a decent neighborhood, but I feel like there is a little circle of murder closing in on us. My realtor was at that restaurant at Oxmoor when that shooting happened in the parking lot.
You're giving stats on towns and cities...not just cities. Usually when the population is over 50,000 then it goes from a township to a city. But thanks for the video. Note: Buckhead (north of Atlanta) is supposedly really bad here in Georgia too.
I lived half my life in South Carolina. Darlington ain't "rednecky." It gots da highest crime rate in da state of Souf Ca'lina cuz da racial makeup is nearly 70% of dat one racial group mo sponsible fo crime in dis country den any otha.
@@pyramidhead138 No, it doesn't. Prohibition, which is what Chris A was getting at, saw higher crime rates when criminals moved in to supply the booze. You can't reduce crime by trying to control things, it NEVER works. People always find a way around it.
@@lenac3587 Re: Guns. Not sure where you are from, Lena, but here in the US we have a thing, above even the Constitution, called Common Law. And one of the central tenets of Common Law is that you cannot charge a person with a crime or inflict pain of penalty on them for doing something that was legal at the time they did it and has since been made illegal. So If I legally buy a gun today, you cant change the law tomorrow to make it illegal and then charge me with breaking the law and confiscate my gun. That's what all these gun control people, who clearly have no idea how the law or civil rights work, get wrong the whole "take them away" argument. It's probably different where you're from, but here in the US we have such a thing as rule of law.
@@lenac3587 that’s been shown not to work time and time again. The oversimplified “solutions” being posed in the comments and the video itself are nearly as disappointing as the crime rates in the video.
A lot of these aren't where the crime happens. A lot of these are just ghost towns or towns with ran down houses. He's using overall crime and violent crime stats to judge which city is the worst but that isn't really the best way to do it because some cities just have a lot of drug addicts who steal car parts etc. If he went by the murder rate he would be going to the actual worst cities and neighborhoods. Sometimes they cross over though, like with Florida City, which is definitely the worst in the state.
You're correct! I live in Wisconsin, 45 minutes north of Beloit. However, this is a beautiful state; and I relocated from Chicago 18 years ago; (born and raised in The Chi), but, I am 45 years young, and don't like the rhetoric down there. Love it up here, God's country...Thanks Nick!
I love it here, too, but don't encourage people to move to Wisconsin. Just remind everyone that the winters are brutal and there's lots of hicks with hunting rifles living here.
What you showed was East Biloxi, Mississippi, and there are poor and some middle class living there near the casinos. Biloxi isn't dangerous at all, and if anything happens it's usually due to casino gamblers and some lowlifes.. Edit: And to be honest the most dangerous city in Mississippi is Jackson.

I use to work in Tukwila and sadly I am one of those who was robbed. Working at a Chevron across the street from the mall. Having lived in WA my whole life, Tukwila has always been terrible yet places like Kent, Sea-tac, and Tacoma get more notice for the crimes that happen near them. You don't ever hear about Tukwila on the 5 O'clock news. But it makes total sense!!!
@@NickJohnson Oh No! It makes complete sense! Considering half the town shuts down between 9pm-12am and only a few business stay open, leaving them sitting ducks. One of the jobs I held in Tukwila was a Chevron cashier & I was robbed. Plus alot of the prostitution problem in WA runs up& down hwy 99. It runs right through the heart of Tukwila then the other main drag, runs through the industrial area both meet somewhere in South Seattle close to White Center. Which is what I thought would have been MUCH WORSE THAN TUKWILA, but there ya go. I'm south from that area, between Auburn & Federal Way(43yrs now, parents still own the house I was born & grew-up in). I also thought Lakewood or Marysville, possibly Kent or T-town(Tacoma) all aren't as bad as White Center. All of these areas I will go even on foot at night but NOT WHITE CENTER! Too crazy! And I worked graveyard at a gas station ALONE at 5corners in Buried(behind the SeaTac airport) and rode the bus to & from still you would not catch me in White Center ALONE???? HELL NO!!!! it's BAD! REAL BAD! ANY HOW WANTED TO COMMENT ON THE GENTLEMAN WHO SAID HE LIVED IN TUKWILA 30YRS AGO! 30yrs ago Tukwila WAS BAD! but that was 30yrs ago. Hill Too & Station plus down town were ALL BAD! FW wasn't even a city then and Kent was mostly farm land back then! If you still live in Washington, hit up down town Kent some time! 104th is much worse then Tukwila was 30yrs ago! Plus the homeless problem is terrible! But their homeless doesn't liter and leave a trail or pile of crap everywhere they go! The homeless in FW are straight NASTY!!!! (NOT ALL, BUT MOST OF THEM) SORRY when your born & raised in the same area then have kids yourself in the same place, you tend to know what's going on where😁

From Memphis. Moved to Fargo. Fargo is like a paradise in comparison. Fargo is safe AF. It's too Cold here for many people to want to go outside and commit crimes 90% of the year. It's just been growing a lot recently, attracting a lot of both good, hard working people and bad people. With growth, an influx of crime is to be expected.

Illinois/Missouri: Mt Vernon having someone getting assaulted every other day making it the most dangerous city is ridiculous. In East Saint the Murder rate is 87.2 per 100k. In Mt Vernon is was 20.3 per 100k, which translates to 3 per year.
Since i know that you're from Oregon and might possibly be interested in knowing how such a small high dessert town in the middle of nowhere can have such a high crime rate, especially compared to bigger cities in OR like Portland, which i can assure u is a WAY more unpredictable and dangerous place when it comes to Active violent criminals who r ACTUALLY posing a current threat to the safety of the community. The real reason why Ontario "looks" like a big portion of its population r violent criminals is because it's actually kinda true in a sense, technically. Ontario is where the states largest high custody level prison, which is where over 3,000 of ORs most violent and problematic convicts r held and who r all included in Ontarios total population count, which means that roughly 1/3 of Ontarios legal residence r actually incarcerated. Its definitely not an area i would ever willingly wanna spend anymore time in but that honestly has nothing to do with the people cause most of them r just potato farmers and normal people but they're surrounded on all sides by dry high desert with nothing but seemingly never ending dry fields of long brown grass, dirt, and sage brush for as far as the eye can see with a few huge mountain ranges on the horizon so the constant wind often kicks up big dust clouds in the summer and makes the freezing winter months suck even worse to. Just wanted to put that out there cause why not i guess. I don't have a life rn

But there are some pros
Las Vegas is a 4 hour drive from LA, 3 hour drive from Phoenix, 2 hour drive from the famous Area 51, and a 8 hour drive from Reno, (which in my opinion, Reno is a smaller mix of LA and Las Vegas). We also have the Allegiant Stadium and the T Mobile Arena
Please like this comment, it took me and hour to write.
Fireworks and prostitutes sounds like a great combination!

We live in south Carolina we go to myrtle beach every summer and last yr we found out we stayed in a motel where there was a double murder in 2015. And while we were there in 2020 there was a drive by shooting with injuries and the day we were leaving a dead body was found on the beach. Its surely not like it use to be
In such case, perhaps you should seriously reconsider that annual tradition to go to Myrtle in summer? 😓
@@martinusv7433 o we have. If we deside yo bo back it will be north Myrtle beach cause it is always quiet at that end and family oriented. A little higher but well worth it. I live in Indian Land, SC. A neighbor across from me was murdered a while back. We never heard anything. And a pregnant lady was found dead in a ditch not far from where I live. Her husband, a migrant, had unalived her and dumped her there. They had one surviving child.

i did a service program after graduating high school and lived in little rock arkansas during their huge crime surge due to co-vid. I worked at a middle school and had students telling me about terrible thing they’ve gone through. One of my sixth graders took her moms car on a joyride, ran from the cops, and killed a 14 year old. I had also almost been shot twice. I moved there from a rich town on the coast of boston so it was quite the place to adjust to. No regrets though, wouldn’t recommend visiting however.
As someone who lives in southern Illinois it’s well known that mt. Vernon is a drug trade town because it’s right between two highways, so crime has always been pretty bad there
What part of Illinois do you live in?
Idk how Rockford wasn’t picked as most dangerous. There’s at least one shooting there almost every day.

BTW, I am Chinese (yes, with a Chinese accent), and I lived in that area for a long time, and I believe SW KY as a whole is very safe including Graves county ( Mayfield is the county seat).
As a Kentuckian I can say western KY has a lot of good people compared to the rest of ky

I thought Camden would have been New Jerseys pick but I'm definitely not surprised about Atlantic City because the hood is only a few blocks from the casinos 🤦♀️🤦♀️
I swear, if I leave the boardwalk it's like walking into another world( and not a good one)
Camden made a big change in their policing method and crime actually went down since then.
It hasn't changed. And you nailed it. Most robberies happen close to Oakland's border, but the city is peaceful in general.
Yes it's not as bad, it's way worse in Oakland
Same thing with the cities in MA, it’s not that bad tbh, the jobs and schools suck but it’s okay
San Pablo Avenue! Whores, junkies, and thieves!
As always great presentation Nick, you are very entertaining as a narrator as well :)

I’ve worked in the court system in Las Vegas for 15 years. Crime rate has risen at all levels.
Seeing Mayfield on here knowing that community got completely flattened by an EF4 tornado late in 2021 saddens me, but also gives me hope that the community will recover. Few things reverse fortunes for a city than bouncing back from an unavoidable catastrophe like a storm.
Like Greensburg, Kansas did. After the F5 tornado in 2007, they built a whole new town that is really beautiful and modern.
They really ran with their name and tried to make their town as green as possible.

true that! i lived in Biloxi, MS and never had issues but yeah ive seen areas in MS that would make Biloxi look super great!
Jackson is way worse. I lived in Biloxi for a few years. I just left last year and never had a problem.

Born and raised in Springfield, MA kinda shocked Holyoke made the list instead of Springfield. They probably toggle between each other depending on when you check the stats. Good ole Pioneer Valley.
Springfield definitely has its share of crime, but Holyoke isn't all that welcoming either.
As someone who grew up just 15 minutes south of Canton, OH, I was honestly SHOCKED to see it as the most dangerous city. I knew things had been getting bad lately but wow. I really expected to see something like Cleveland or Cincy
Nope 😢
Indianapolis is getting pretty bad as well
I was born and raised in Canton and was shocked.

You mean another racially biased video.
@@pyramidhead138 No, it doesn't. Prohibition, which is what Chris A was getting at, saw higher crime rates when criminals moved in to supply the booze. You can't reduce crime by trying to control things, it NEVER works. People always find a way around it.
Having control is still better than none. Take away guns and drugs as well. If criminals find away around it, lock them up one by one

Not that I should laugh because it is sad, but I love your reaction, "There's only 5000 people here! What the hell?!" 😄
Thank you very much for sharing Nick.. Have a nice day..
Interesting video... aren't murders more dangerous than robberies? (Obviously, robberies can lead to murder) I would like to see a part two referring to that level of danger. Thanks!
Hi again, old friend! Even tho this video covered BAD stuff..you still make us laugh! For that, I THANK YOU! You Rock! 🤗✌️
Your channel is pretty cool. I do disagree with a few things but overall, you're pretty accurate with your info. Appreciate your channel bro.
I subscribed and the more I watch your videos…the more I appreciate! The more I listen to what you’re saying, the easier it is for feelings to be put aside and ease into your objective facts. You rock my man :)
Philly born and raised and I can say with 100% certainty that sections of Philly are the roughest areas in Pennsylvania
It's crazy there
@@NickJohnson for sure, the open air drug markets in the Kensington neighborhood are pretty insane. Like the walking dead
Lol I was just in Philly. It looks rough.
Can agree w this. As deadly as chester is, id feel safer walking widener campus than I do walking down spring garden lol.
As someone who grew up in upstate, went to SUNY Binghamton for 4 years and has family in NYC Binghamton definitely not more dangerous than the worst parts or NYC, Rochester or Buffalo. I delivered pizzas in college there and I’ve been most corners of Binghamton. I’d still feel safer there at night than certain areas of Rochester, Buffalo or NYC
True, numbers are flawed m. Honestly per capital the most dangerous city in ny is probably mt vernon
Have you ever been to Syracuse? If so, what’s it like?
@@LakeofCrystalclan Just another western New York rust belt city
This is kinda misleading. I've never felt even slightly in danger in Mt. Vernon, but I was about to shit my pants after 2 seconds in East St. Louis.
He said that VT was safe overall, but one town obviously has to rank highest.
@@thegoodlydragon7452 yeah but my comment is about Illinois so idk what you’re talking about.
The video showed Rt37 coming into Mount Vernon.. The problem part of town isn't too far from there...
@@aaronabrahamsen2975 his reply was about Vermont. Bro hadto pick a city in each state. He says that like twenty times.
@@spicytrash4981 ok but he replied to my comment about Illinois. So idk what he was getting at talking about Vermont. His reply had nothing to do with my comment.
What’s the main demographic of people targeting Asians with hate crimes? And who do they generally vote for?
Oh, this'll be interesting. I wonder what they'll be.
Stoop kid afraid to leave his stoop!!
Up here in New Hampshire we are the safest state even though we are the only state where adults are not required to wear seatbelts
I take issue with your characterization of lazy people as criminals. We're way too lazy to do crime. I have my hands full doing accounting, much less trying to move a body.
Fun fact. David Yost (Actor of Billy, The Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger) was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
I vouch for College Park in Georgia. I got pulled over by an AMBULANCE on the way to get rims once. They pulled me over because I was white and they asked if I knew where I was 😂
Lmao
Ha Ha Ha ha 😅😅😅
Did I completely miss the Louisiana one or did he just say it was the whole state? Lol
11:21 - Louisiana :)
I miss LivePD in Louisiana. Those guys are awesome!
He said oplousas
@@dirty2chainz thank you. I was wondering.
Illinois/Missouri: Mt Vernon having someone getting assaulted every other day making it the most dangerous city is ridiculous. In East Saint the Murder rate is 87.2 per 100k. In Mt Vernon is was 20.3 per 100k, which translates to 3 per year.
The yearly murder rates in these towns are just the start of an average weekend here in Baltimore.
Man good stuff!!
@@NickJohnson Milwaukee is easily the most dangerous city in Wisconsin
Hey Nick its your biggest fan by the way, can you do more driving tours in the South in states like Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida please. You are the goat and I love your US geography videos.
