This games really shines in the end game/DLC. Everything from start to mid game is just okay, but during the late game it's a masterpiece! Combat, enemies, you are already maxing your vocation and getting the end game equip. They need to give DD2 some dlc in the patterns of Dark Arisen!
No but seriously you couldn't be more correct. Mainlining the story once or twice to get dragonforged equipment on your favorite vocations. After then go to the Everfall and Bitterblack Island for the best content in the game. I love BBI so much. It's got a much faster pace with no big empty spaces of nothingness. Just that sweet sweet combat.

Beat DD2 about a week after release, restarted Dark Arisen 2 days ago as my 3rd attempt to beat the game
