about the upscaler or wathever problem you mentioned, do yourself a favor and CHECK WHICH VERSION OF UNREAL IS THE GAME RUNNING!! if its ue4 you are in luck if its ue5 you are a tad screwed, but you can easily look up online how to edit the config files of unreal games and turn on or off effects, the crap you complained is the DEFAULT CRAP UNREAL FORCES ON DEVELOPERS!!!! on unreal you already start with a stock "preset graphics slider" and guess what that crap does? yeah it bundles 5 to 7 different crap on one, the lowest disables most of then, medium enables taa from the get go and low AO quality with medium or low?? particles, high is taa with some other crap like capsule shadows or wathever + higher quality ao + SCREEN SPACE REFLECTIONS and so on. in short, yes the idea of changing to unreal 4 was absolutely stupid for them to do so, it wrecked the game dev cycle forcing them to RECREATE EVERY SINGLE SYSTEM or MOST of them they worked on for all of these games throught the last decade which absolutely screwed them over, believe in me game dev aint easy, but also switching engines isnt something any of these devs takes lightly, its a HUMOUNGOUS work. you cant simply port most of the codebase over, each engine have their core far different you HAVE to adapt or redo most of the code its just absurd amounts of work, like yeah the game may look a tad crappier, but you know why also they did that? its less things to waste time on, aka they dont need to optmize the game as much if it already looks hella barebones as the baseline they can focus on making the GAME not the graphics. i dont checked your other videos yet, but also i mostly followed ya just for the sao games lol its legitemally surprising seeing someone who actually play the games and understood why they are proper good and bad and then compare them with each other like a proper game reviewer should do. i believe they switched engines because they were reaching the limits of what they could do with their own, and with the skill ceiling of unreal being high with how much crap you can do on that engine with time and knowing it well, they couldve had also switched it for better graphics down the line. hope you the best gonna comment again if i want to talk about something or noticed something else.

"the game get's worse with time" - just like every other gothic game xD the beginnings are cool af and it ain't easy to keep that level throughout.

For me , it sits on 4th place, after G1, 2 and 3. The story is quite fan fiction, with plenty of plot holes, and the quests are 70% mundane. The locations are OK, but nothing memorable.

I feel like Cliff canonically played Dead Island. There's no reason for Xian to be as prominent as she is, there's no reason for her outfit to look like her hotel uniform. There's no reason for Charron to say anything in Escape. There are random zombie types that don't appear in either Dead Island or Riptide (IIRC). Following what we see from Dead Island 2, a lot of the world's culture was shaped by the first outbreak, in Banoi. I believe Cliff, looking for fame, decided to try to look into a shady corporation rumored to be working on a new strain of the Kuru virus, or some other virus. However, he falls into a coma when he gets hit by the boat. The rest of the game is entirely comprised of hallucinations. I'll go even further and say that at the beginning of the game, you're already experiencing Cliff's hallucinations. Everything he does, everything that happens, it's happened before, and within Cliff's fever dream, the events occur out of place. Hell, maybe his friends were never there, and he's just "Shutter Island"-ing them into his memories and hallucinations. One proof of the "fragmented memories" theory is the plane crash. Cliff sees the plane crash, and Xian jump out, but later, Cliff almost gets smushed by the plane crashing. So, did two planes crash? Unlikely. Which one was the real crash? We can't tell. I haven't played the game yet, so I'm largely talking crap, but the cyclical nature of the ending/beginning makes me think I'm onto something...

Quick question, you mentioned you hating Gothic 3. Did you play it with the community patch? It's my favorite of the 3 give it a chance to pop off.

In my opinion, the ending of the game where Marvin becomes Scar is quite believable. After all, this is not a story about a character chosen by the Gods, but the story of someone ordinary. He did his job, was finally betrayed and ended up in the Colony, by the way on the ship meeting Gomez. That's the end of the character's story. And whether you played as a saint or a thug - rather irrelevant. At the end of the day, you were betrayed anyway, and how could you not want to indulge in luxuries when you are already in prison anyway; after all, nothing you would do would change that. By the way, great review. There is also an ending in which you rescue your brother Jorn (but you have to complete only the quests necessary for this, not one more because technically - instead of saving your brother then, you waste time on side activities that have nothing to do with saving him). I also recommend playing again, because the number of side quests and their wonderful quality is positively overwhelming (and their endings). If the combat system doesn't appeal to you that much, try a build under dexterity and bow, after all, it's very easy to get arrows. I myself have played Archolos over 4 times, I am currently waiting for Archolos 2.0 to come out. Cheers.

Always weird for me hearing people keep saying the first meeting with chrome Gawain was unbelievably difficult when I basically never got hit, probably because I farmed the hell out of the harder version before which was Orochi during difficulty 8 when it became available. Yeah I do have to admit despite how much I love God Eater 2 the story is very questionable extremely power of friendship kind of thing, also the Rage Burst arc actually started after you fight Kyuubi since that was already in the original God Eater 2. The best thing about God Eater 2 has got to be just how much you can just mess around with a lot of things especially bullets if you know what you're doing, survival missions are very tedious but they're quite a fun challenge sometimes (except on hard rank 15, those are nothing but hell). Last but not least possibly one of the best superboss Crimson Orochi being in general just more fun than Hannibal on crack a.k.a. blitz Hannibal while giving you quite literally the best weapons to craft as a reward (with added bonus of changing ally gear if you only bring one!) still kinda funny you can use nana's mother and Kate as NPC though despite them you know, dead.

One of my favorite franchise and here's my opinion.. Graphics = mid just because it's a port from a handheld game.. Gameplay = superb, smooth and fast.. Story = it's an anime.. Controls = needs a bit of a learning curve but really manageable once you get the hang of it..

There is also a Poison Trick and if you have 2 Steam accounts or a friend you can easily duplicate most of the items in-game as well as easily increase your money to the max 99,999,999, especially the equips making this game a lot less Grinding. Lisbeth's quest hammer also increases the number of times you can enhance her forged weapon as well as manually the rare weapons once you run out with the stone version of the ore you used to enhance the weapon.

Hollow fragment isn't the least bit grindy (well... the hollow area is but you don't need that to beat the game). You can get so many buffs with your infinite skills, that you can one- shot nearly everything from like lvl 20 onwards... The only GE I finished the main story of because I can't handle the eng dubs of the previous games, even then I also like the characters in this game more whereas the story is fine per usual. It's real cliche but I love that Hugo is a childhood friend, gives him a believable reason to genuinely care about you unlike most characters in the past games who happens to end up together but become best buddies in a blink of an eye; I'm just a massive sucker for "found family" tropes and penal unit/mercenary stories, the dynamic of the group on this one just works personally (we do not deserve Phym, she is too good for this world). Only thing I'm disappointed of with this game is the not so great optimization on PC and lackluster character creator/customization, Code Vein blows this game out of the water on both departments while looking much better in general. Kind of clear Bamco is treating this game and the series as a whole like a bastard child, quite a sad state of affairs.

Yeah I do think you missed a lot of info on god eater's story. There's a section in the terminal where you do upgrades that detail about characters, lore and more game mechanics. I can't blame you if you didn't read them though, it's a lot to take in at first.

honestly, I feel like riptide would have been more liked if it was just a 20$ dlc expansion and not its own full priced game.
