Purely Theory on my part>> Hepheastus has a lot more references in this game then any coincidence could imply. Remove 'He' and 't' And you get Pheasus. What is Pheasus good at that he shares with Hepheastus... Lets see: -Cunning -Smart -Renowned Artificer (Godsway) - And an unshared theory of mine. -Owning his own 'palace, Worshop' -Crafting the equipment of god (Godsway but it's not just simply the Godsway or the crystals it's the technology itself which we must refer to in this case, The technology to control Pawns that is.) -They fought Giants. Another interesting fact is that Hepheastus created automatons of Metal, Another unshared theory of mine. But basically there are Golems in DDON that are entirely made of Metal not Stone. He also put Goldened monsters at the gates of Olympus which in this case would refer to the Aclhemized enemies in DDON. 1 Last thing ill share in this comment before it gets too long, Hepheastus also persuaded a King to give up his Humanity. I forgot where I read this so thats all I have for now but that could play in perfectly with where the story of the expansion would be going. Green stars, They are indeed not supposed to be possible. And so why are they in the skybox. It's simple the world of DD2 is not real, The Rivage Elder already said as much and is made painfully obvious by the ending of the base game. The entire world engulfed in Brine smoke. That Brine smoke eventually turning into a Dragon, The Second Dragon, A different Entity from The Red Dragon... Though perhaps they could be seen as one and the same. This Dragon or perhaps whatever entity the Brine is 'created' this world, This Illusion. But by forcing this being to show itself we effectively destroyed the spell that it cast over all of Vermund and Battahl. I could continue as this plays straight into another theory of mine but this comment would really become way too long. This and so much more is just too convenient to be mere coincidence or simply theory. Itsuno mentioned how every little detail in the game was deliberate, Stars, Names, Monsters and Parallels to everything mythology. It's not just mere theory it can tell us where the story might be going.
@Zappieroth yeah I can see a lot of what you theorize making sense 🧐 especially the extra stuff about heaphestus. I saw way more stuff about him after I made the video so I couldn't add it lol but also I do believe the new dragon is the same dragon as our red dragon since the large one is named. I'm guessing that since the dragon from the first game was also named and they never gave us a direct name for dd2s dragon.
