Thank you for mentioning the cost in your region. Here in the US, it's a $250 difference which is making it tougher to say definitely yes or no to the 1F. I think I may try the 1F first she if it's not what I'm looking for, I'd return and go for the proper ZV-1 instead

I've only heard good things about the zv1, you said its infamous which is defined as having very bad reputation, what is bad about it?

Not as a vlogging camera, but do you think the zv-1f would make a good smartphone camera replacement? I'm thinking with it being lighter, the touch menu system and fixed lens.
Does it start up fast? I'm contemplating it so I can leave my phone at home. Unless the zv1 would still be better for my use case?

Agreed. ZV-1 is still a better option. I just don’t get why Sony isn’t releasing a ZV-2 with a better FoV and 10bit. That’d be an awesome upgrade over any smartphone.
