Gorgeous looking film. Your grandfather is a legend. To still have our minds and faculties later in life is precious. He is still talking to us and finding a new audience all these years later.

AMAZING footage! Some shots I couldn’t tell if it was shot in 1967 or 2022! I am working hard to get a Bolex H16 REX 3 or higher I already have a non-REX H16 that does well and I want to upgrade!

Hello Peter, iam Jan, a son of Ge Hoving. Door een foto bij mijn broer die we gisteren hebben opgehangen zochten wij de film. Wij wisten het bestaan er van maar niet dat dit op het internet stond. Er ontstaan allerlei vragen. Hij jij toevallig een stamboom?
Wietze Hoving een zoon van Joseph Hoving, een jongere broer van Pake Pieter Hoving (The Grandfather) heeft een stamboom beschreven van de Hoving familie. Als hij nog leeft moet hij wel in de negentig jaren zijn. Zijn adres was Potgietersweg 44, NL 1851 CJ in Heiloo, Nederland..
Beautiful images! Is it an A-B 16mm print (no visible splices)? I can see few small white dust speckles and also black ones. Shot on Eastman Plus-X or Double-X negative perhaps. Would love to know. Thanks for sharing.
Interesting question...no, I have been making personal videos since 2005, with video cameras that have sound capabilities, and of course much more sophisticated digital editing systems, don't forget the longest take you could do with a Bolex camera was 22 to 24 seconds, using a spring wound motor.

The original was shot on black & white reversal film.

Yes, the print was made from A & B rolls. Maybe an internegative was made for the many prints. Care was taken to "print" this film on video...
This was done 51 years ago!! Yes an internegative was made, don't know if this print from an internegative.
