I love the "never turn away help" option for this renegade Shep. While "some people think asking for help is a sign of weakness" bit feels more compassionate, it's the "that's just being stupid and stubborn" follow-up really feels like the practical, get-the-mission-done Shep coming through (*‘ω‘ *)
On the question of why the quarians haven't found a new homeworld, there are many different factors, even without the ME2 retcon about Rannoch not having pathogens: - Biggest one is that quarians have dextro-amino DNA, like the turians. Most organic foods are toxic to them. This cuts down the number of viable colony worlds dramatically. - Garden worlds in general are still pretty rare in the galaxy, and as such, whenever one is discovered, it's very quickly claimed by someone or other, especially in Council space. This is made worse by... - Prejudice. The Council was furious with the quarians for creating any army of killer robots, and censured them heavily (it's also why AI research was outlawed in Council space). Time in exile hasn't helped matters, with people complaining about the Migrant Fleet being a blight on their solar neighborhoods. There is actually a planet in ME2 with dextro life that nobody wanted, and the Council seriously considered giving it to them. But some impatient quarians began to set up habitats before they officially had permission, so naturally, the Council called the whole thing off and threatened to bomb the quarians if they didn't leave _yesterday._ The planet was given to the turians.
I'm surprised Liara the young idealistic archaeologist wasn't more angry about Shepard destroying a valuable prothean ruin with a FUNCTIONING security system. She even says they left little behind.
Hey Dave, it looks like you're losing weight. Congrats man I love it. P.S. I love to watch you play games, you got me through a rough patch in my life and I love you for that. Please never stop being a creator. Never stop gaming. All the best. @HoodParallel :)
I'll probably always be uploading something. Even if it's as a hobby and only 10 people watch it. Glad my daft little channel helped someone out there. 👍
I think they added the boost into the legendary edition because it was a function in andromeda and everyone just agreed it was much more convenient include in the LE
4:04 Those who haven't, it is on YT. I paused to go watch it. 10:05 Like, I've heard both sides of this decision... I still think Turians making that decision is wrong. 23:44 I'm stealing that one. 30:20 I think this lore dump was when I realised how much I love Tali's design. Helmet especially. 31:59 Hmm, does ME have more retcons than Kingdom Hearts -is purported to have- ? 38:20 I don't know why but docking/landing sequences and undocking/takeoff sequences are some of my favourite bits in SciFi. 42:13 Weirdly, I think Mako driving was one of my least favourite things about ME1, too floaty for something billed as a "tank". Also, it's 100% an APC. 50:59 I loved the exploration, hated the Mako. 51:41 The more you talk about Starfield the more I hear "just wait to buy it". 1:01:43 It may be, but at least it makes sense for something that lives underground. Little things that keep it aware of the surface and prey locations. 1:13:42 I think one place more games could improve is by making stuff like this mean something. Like collecting Prothean Data discs or Turian insignia led somewhere. 1:39:14 Wow,, that full-on oneshot you. 1:54:34 Wrex, that's not how... nevermind. 2:02:41 The one party member I wish you could turn down, and the game just "No, you must romance the blue lady". 2:04:12 I forget how many times I just cut the link. It's more than one.
High marks for the Garrick Club joke -- especially if it's (I think?) at Garrus's expense! The biology in Mass Effect is as dismal and clueless as you'd expect from any intersection of science fiction with computer gaming. I'm sure it's a fine representation of what math/comp sci nerds think it's about, though!

There's just something about the Mako leaving the ship that makes me think of seagulls and droppings

Absolutely love Jock Shepard on the verge of swirlying any crewmate who says too much nerd shit 😂
I'm surprised Liara the young idealistic archaeologist wasn't more angry about Shepard destroying a valuable prothean ruin with a FUNCTIONING security system.
She even says they left little behind.
Gonna be honest I didn't recognize you for a split second! 😂 I'm not used to seeing you clean shaven. You look good though.
I wondered who it was, it just doesn't fit. Dave has a beard, it is how my mind visualize him.
Thanks for the upload Dave, get some rest and keep being awesome! 😎
Who knew Dave was hiding a Chiseled Jawline under the beard ❤
Looking great

Seeing Dave walk around the Normandy trigger some deep nostalgia/core memories.

The Mako is amazing.
The game that you were thinking about is Shadow Empire. An amazing game.

I see they kept the KOTOR style body movements and eye movements.
I just recently played through ML1, and now seeing you playing makes me want to again. Until I you got in the Mako. 😆
I love the Mako.
This series inspired me to play ME again, great to experience it again. I'm being boring and playing paragon though
Damn, Dave. You look really young!
Who's that baby faced, young lad?

Imagine playing Starfield in 2024
