Really man hachi-roku is a nice car with high level of fun and cool factor I wish everyone who want to buy one but 25k + it doesn't worth it . Why you don't buy a gt86 that in many ways is similar to hachi-roku , gt is : 1) Rwd = 100 % opportunity to unleash the drifting discipline in all aspects 2) it is very lightweight car that coupe don't weight over 1200 kg 3) as ae86 it's equipped with manual gearbox 4) gt86 it's a fantastic car for beginners it delivers 200 hp , and cars with no over 250 hp are great for drivers without experience even noob take it 5) He can train the driver 6) it is cheap you can find variants for 12-15k with no more 40k miles even 25k miles 7) you still have money left for tuning : engine/suspension 8) gt86 hasn't issues in reliability , by the way this car widespread so you can find easy autoparts from engine to brakes -So forget about trueno , Toyota gt86 4life

the AE6 still looks good after all these years. its aged well. cant say the same will happen for most of the new cars on the market today.fun little race to watch, would of loved to know what they were saying, the AE6 guy is so funny in his other videos. even tho he has several NSX's. every video i see him drive a AE6 he gets so happy.iv not done the research,had to of been one of his first cars, for so much love to come through with out trying. i have the same relation ships to old vw bugs..
@@ValentineC137 Not true. With a proper suspension setup and enough guts, you can drift an FF car, though it does require a considerable amount of skill.
The Hachiroku of Tsuchiya-san, was build and made by the famous former TRD worker, Sakurai (aka TRD Sakurai). This man is very humble and simple, but he knows Toyota engines like a precise surgeon. That's why this AE86 was perfectly balanced, and almost impossible to match by other tuners.

I didn't say that the EK9 is completely stock, but clearly the 86 is more tuned. Don't get me wrong, I love both cars. I just find it not entirely fair.
What everyone doesn't realize is that the b16 comes stock with about 60hp more which is a lot for these little 1.6l even if keiichi has the 7ag just cams would make that Honda fair and I bet it has a lot more than cams

@@hldelta Yes it is. In First Stage it was a lightly modified 4AGE-16V Bluetop. Then from Second Stage until Final Stage it was a 4AGE-20V Silvertop.

Although the AE86 is a great car this isn´t fair. The Toyota is quite tuned, while the Type R seems pretty stock. Just listen the gear ratios.
Theyre both around the same power range and the EK9 has spoon coilovers

Of course it all depends on the driver skills, but in the same skill level a well tuned car will always be faster than stock.

Great race but the ek9 was mostly stock while the ae86 had basically everything on it modified. Ek had stock motor and transmission and stock brakes.
