It has to be noted that it's a bit of an original take for a FF to make Odin so powerful. It's generally a rather mid-tier summon, while as opposed to that Bahamut is always amongst the most powerful summons (" the king of GFs/Eidolons/etc..."), which explains why he was again very powerful in this game.
The Jill x Clive scene was really well done and romantic.
Final fantasy isn't final fantasy without a good romance

It’s not getting the views and he isn’t having fun or if he was he wouldnt choose to quit it near the end. FF fans seem so needy for Asmon to like their games, it’s a lil bit weird. As long as you like it that’s all you need!
Recently hit platinum on PS5 with this game. The overriding theme in the game is love, like it or not…and each version of love is handled brilliantly. The love between brothers/family, the love for country, the love between significant others and the love between friends.
My spoiler free reason for Jill passing Tifa as my favorite FF waifu is how she was written. Jill had a horrible life other than having Clive in her life. She was a ward of the Rosfields, then she was basically a slave made to murder thousands of people. The voice actor nailed adult Jill. Even in her happy moments, you can hear the melancholy tones in her voice. She is proper and subdued….not booba and skimpy outfits.
I loved the game. 9.5 outta 10 for me.

Make sure to play her sidequest too. Absolutely heartbreaking

They (in my mind) help clear up the ambiguity of the ending

Man these two are even more intimate than Yuna and Tidus and those two were peak romance in Final Fantasy for me. FF after 10 was kinda lacking in the romantic subplot for the main characters so this is a nice surprise.
Also it took them 30 long ass years lmao
@@manikatti5546 makes sense why they weren’t together earlier though, Clive basically had ptsd, and so did Jill. For their relationship to progress further, they had to atone. Clive fighting himself, and Jill when you go after the iron bloods. Then right after that they both try to kiss until gav had to ruin it (obviously for good reason but still).
It's true! I just wish the characters themselves (Clive and Jill) were a bit less...boring? What I mean by that, is that I wish their characters were more than their trauma.
Clive *sorta* is, but that's like all they got with Jill lol. It's like watching 2 (quite furnished) wooden planks try to glue themselves together over the course of the game 😂
I might be in the minority with this, but it's hard to be invested in a romance when all it boils down to is: "we are both sad and alone, and we've known each other since we were kids." At least that's my opinion, I know most will definitely disagree.

@@Crispifordthe3rd515 i can kinda sorta agree with jil but thats also because she didn't really have much of a past to gorw from ya know? with clive tho i disagree. for me his character was(in the beginning) coming to terms with joshuas death(who wasn't dead) and then continuing cids legacy. i really dk how to put it into words but clive feels like hes grown from the beginning of the game,as for jil idk. it seems to me her story is more so being there for clive and there friendship growing. overall i think there good as characters...clive as a protag would be a 8 or 9 while jil is a 8. they could improve but there def not bad
also ive heard many good things abt 10 so it looks like i will be playing that next.
This game does dragon bosses right. From the white dragon that knocks down the bell tower in an epic entrance, to mother fkin Bahamut, to Svarog's ass-kickery every time is great
Yoshi-P knows how to make a good dragon. 14 is chock full of awesome dragon fights, and that carries over here to 16. If Asmon ever gets back to Stormblood, he'll have a big one on his plate by the end of that expac.

this playthrough is a fuckin spectacle, it has it all. Awesome music, great combat, sexy male and female characters to be swoon by and beautifully written story arcs for each NPC. The dev team knows their stuff. thanks for uploading these.
The pacing, the lines... the most romantic scene ever seen in a video game for sure.
I like how tactful and respectful it tackles that scene.
FFX's would have been up there if not for the fact that everyone in Spira can just wade around in water with all their clothes on like it didn't exist.

It's not that deep. The game after the bahamut fight falls of a cliff. Same reason max and a lot of other popular streamers are having trouble finishing the game.
@@darkdrift5169stop coping buddy the Odin was a good fight too and the Ultamalius fight is kino epic as well. Don't try to take the audience for the whole ride and then bail off at the literally ending of the game. Other Streamers can go to hell since they do it for views but asmon at least showed genuine interest and invested time in it . But he's literally at the end of the game so its frustrating to see him just bail off. He needs to complete it for final episode.

The intimate scene gave me Xenogears flashbacks, to some degree. Their relationship is very well developed
I was wondering if it was. I also notice some Valkyrie Profile and Parasite Eve vibes at some scenes too in this game. Yoshi-p really loved what the company once was/did.
A lot of the end game reminded me of the plot of Xenogears. Including humanity's original purpose for existing being the resurrection of some alien God, and the plague of turning most of the population into mindless monsters.

Finished the game the other night and they did such a great job building up to the Odin fight.
You should proably do some of the side quest, as some give really good gear and have important story parts in them.

The odin fights in this game were epic. In my opinion, the main fight with odin was the hardest in the game.
Funny fight, too. I did NOT expect Barnabas to turn into a madly cackling, glowing fidget spinner version of Zenos.
@@rogthepirate4593 soundtrack was epic for that fight was well, it just became more and more intense the crazier odin became. I can't say enough good things about ff16's soundtrack

I cheesed that dragon so hard with phoenix shift. Just always tried to stay up in the air and do some combos while the mechanics were going on at the ground XD
you need to do the sidequest from the guy standing close to Otto at the railing he will start a quest that will give you the best sword in game

It’s funny to see someone else using the combo I found while playing of lightning rod + gigaflare. Shows its OP status. I haven’t seen many others running Will o the wykes like I do though.
Will o just a fire barrier with dps not really fun to do, Shockwave more fun it stop time so give other ability to cooling down
@@HellGatyr Lightning rod + diamond dust makes staggered enemy instantly at x1.50 dmg modifier. Also even on new game + final fantasy mode diamond dust can instant stagger or at least 50% stagger any miniboss

Asmongold, dont tell me you're going to stop playing right before the Barnabas/Odin boss fight, which in my personal opinion, is the best boss fight in the game.

Svarog is no joke, though. Especially when you’re able to first find him. You’re almost 17 levels below him and that diving, flaming headbutt he has can absolutely one shot you if you have less than full health. I had to use “The Last Potion” on him before I could beat him. I refused to put on any of the assistance rings. Anyhow. Svarog is harder than all the mainline bosses, so I don’t feel bad now for getting wrecked by him a couple times. I eventually got him, but it took all of my resources and I just barely took him down. In retrospect, I should have probably just progressed for a bit. Ah well. Sometimes you can’t help a win feeling like a loss.
