Part of the problem with EVs and Tesla is they are not all this big magic silver bullet they where claimed to be , and people are starting to see this now .
In the end they are just another car that is a money pit , and many things they still do not do as well as an internal combustion engined vehicle from decades ago , and this is the fact.

"Small EV" means a small hatch selling for $30k+ outside the US while hybrid equivalents cost 50% less. Not worth the EV hassle when considering fuel efficiency (~4.0L/100km) and range (~1000km) the hybrids provide.

All batteries loose power after a few charges, then a cell fails and so on. Along with costs this is going to be the thing that causes EV cars to fail. When a tool battery dies, and they do, its not that painful to just buy another one, a car battery is just too big and expensive.

I wouldn’t want to buy an over priced car which isn’t worth much after 5 years and would be difficult to sell on the used market. Im more careful with my money than that.

Give us a new battery every year at the manufactures cost and then people might consider them.

      Why every year?

Ironic how Nissan owned the EV market initially and lost that market to emerging competition and now this same thing has happened to Tesla…

They are a 5-8 year car at best and then worth nothing once the battery needs replacing. That is nothing else super expensive to fix goes wrong .

Your right, people don't realize batteries degrade pretty fast, especially when a couple cells start to fail.

There will be major countries.. and yes entire continents that will never be even 20% EV. think about the entire Middle East (lots of oil and gas). all of Africa, basically all of South America (Charging stations in the Andes?) all of Russia (plenty of oil and gas) and yes China ( Probably only maybe 30% EV at most), also India ...there are many other places besides the US, Europe, and Australia. That's why Toyota saw this and will continue to supply the "rest of the World" with gas and diesel vehicles for decades to come.

More people would actually buy EVs if they were a step forward, but they’re not at all.
Infact they’re a major step backwards.

Regular people can't afford and maintain a Tesla, its so much easier to buy an I.C.E vehicle.
