- Its time to take apart the ROG Phone 5 and see why it breaks under pressure. The ROG 5 is the latest and greatest gaming phone from Asus. It packs a powerful punch... but we found some structural issues that other phones dont have. Today we will dissect the ROG Phone 5 and see what makes it work (or not work) from the inside. Remember that ALL structural defects can be easily fixed with a simple hard case. The ROG Phone 5 is sill a great phone. With many positive aspects. Just make sure you have a case on it and it will last forever, just like any other phone.

they did great in thermals, they did great in performance, they did amazing in design (i really really really like the white one... i get yugioh and blue eyes vibes from it), they added a headphone jack and an amazing screen.
but it has no water resistance and it breaks if you sit on it. And its kind of heavy (tho, not a big deal for it).
Sadly water resistance is a big deal for me. And it unfortunately breaks to easy.

I'd love to see Jerry do a durability test on the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate, see if it'll suffer the same problems as the regular ROG Phone 5, or is it much weaker, or much stronger once it will be available in a few months.

Skipping this one for the durability issue and cameras but looking forward to what they do for the ROG phone 6. For anyone that gets an ROG phone 5 looking into an Otterbox or other rugged case is probably a good idea.

Ty for testing these expensive phones , I'm about to buy ROG-5 but now I will wait for the next one. Hope they make it durable like Rog 3 . Of I buy this experience phone it will be be with me for 3 years at least so I want to good gaming phone with durability.👍🙏
go for other gaming phones, from people that actually make cellphones. Many ROG users have not only hardware issues, but software ones as well (which is reasonable considering ASUS is mainly a PC part maker).

@@YounesLayachi Yeah, probably fine. But you have to remember that he does this to every phone and it's very rare for them to brake like this. It's weaker than others and it's good to know and take care.
@@ShuAbLe I watched his durability test of the pixel 2 and it snapped in half, similar weak point in the antenna lines and volume buttons. Been using a tough case since then

I think ASUS should lower the price for this product. that will justify things for now. Also should offer a code that will give discount for the next ROG phone. to the ones who have bought it or will be buying it.
Most likely the eggheads who designed it like that will face a major meeting with some not-so-nice words from their bosses. Wouldn‘t be too surprised if some layoffs would occur.
