@@olivierdols5556 no it doesn't lol you can get two decent 8GB sticks of ram for 60 bucks and that's you or me not the companies that buy these items in bulk. It probably would have cost them around 10-15 bucks to add another stick of ram into the build. Instead they only put one in to save that little bit of money and cost us even more money since ram is more expensive and harder to find if you are only buying a single stick versus two sticks.

@@olivierdols5556 I think so especially seeing how some people that buy prebuilts aren't comfortable upgrading their rig even if it's something as simple as sticking in another stick of ram. So a prebuilt coming with 8GB will definitely stop some people from purchasing it.
I'd prefer they charge an extra 20 bucks and include a second stick. I ended up throwing in two more 8GB sticks of ram in my prebuilt that came with a single 8GB stick so now I'm rocking 24GB. I was able to get two sticks of 8GB ram for 55 bucks which wasn't bad I would have preferred to just pay 20 bucks extra for a second stick of ram to be included though.

One positive thing that may be worth a mention that I dunno if you touched upon -- judging by the shots of the inside of the case, it looks like it would be compatible with a micro-atx motherboard, even though the board it comes with is proprietary. Could be fun for a sleeper build, perhaps?

okay, so basically heres a rundown with all the issues i've had with my acer nitro 50 within a singular year of receiving it.
    1. my whole operating system corrupted.
    2. my ram died.
    3. it's been extremely trash in many ways more than one.
    4. not even joking when i say this but mine has a singular hdmi port and its trash
    5. why is there a flubbing ginglebus DVI PORT?? this isn't the early 2000s where we all have dvi monitors that are in 480-720p dude
    6. no display port. i literally cant run more than 240hz without it literally suffocating
    7. the psu is trash, it can't supply the graphics card enough and it literally overheats so much.
    8. the case is SO bad like i literally can't move it without it turning off.
    9. same thing with the case but this is kinda crazy, so one day i was playing recroom like a week after i got this computer and it literally just turned off. do you wanna know why? the ram literally overheated from running discord and rec room at the same time, also recroom was on the lowest graphics possible
    10. the fps this thing got in games (300 in fortnite) vs now which is like 100, which isn't caused by any bloat ware because i don't have like any extra apps since then and i never download anything sketchy, this thing has literally just died over the years, i even got 32gb ddr4 ram and it hasn't improved it at all because it's literally TRASH i'm going to be getting rid of this thing.
    the good things
    1. decent fps in roblox and fortnite
    2. it doesn't run anything besides that because i have 400gb of storage.
keep in mind this is a 800 dollar computer and for the same price i could've build my own with a 1660 super, i7, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd, and a corsair case with a 600 watt power supply.
i love acer!! (they're so trash.)

  • @rmgaminguk7079
    @rmgaminguk7079 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

What gets me, is that even if the parts are ok, you have to be a tech enthusiast to sort it out. In this case, buy 8g of extra ram, reinstall a fresh windows to get rid of all the bloatware, add an hard drive for backup storage as 512gb will not last long, and even after all that there's not room on the case to add more fans to solve the heat issues. To solve the heat issue you'd have to go all Jimmy to remove the drive cage and drill holes to start mounting input fans in the front and another exhaust fan at the top. If you could do that you could build a better pc for less. So at the end of the day these pre-builds are just there to scam people who aren't into computers :(

Everytime I see these pre-built PCs I'm more and more happy to have learned and built mine.
Hitting thermal limit like this is absolutely unacceptable. This build (and many other) always reek off the ''it works good enough and they don't know better, so whatever'' mentality.
Like in LTT newest tech shopper. Even in the winning iBuyPower build, when he put on screen the ongoing benchmarks on the 2070 super that it was hitting 1665 Mhz core clock.
This was a MSI 2070 Super (not a blower one). I have one of the cheapest 2070 supers in my PC (gigabyte windforce 3x) and at base settings in goes to 1965 Mhz at less than 65 degrees. Stable OC at 2025 lower than 60 degrees with ajusted fan curves (I have a good arflow case). The pre-built basically gives you a 15% drop in core clock compared to a cheap GPU of the same kind. Wild.
Anyway good video, I really like those.

  • @MichaelBelue

Actually that new case could EASILLY be "hotrodded" for much better airflow. Remove the hard drive cage, install fan onto empty holes as front INTAKE. It will be limited but a pressure optimized fan should pull much more air in than nothing. The GPU "backplate" is a brace that will help guide air from the front intake to the GPU. It even has slits cut to allow airflow front to back. REVERSE the exhaust fan by the cpu, use as rear INTAKE. The case will have passive exhaust out the side panel. The only real cost is a new fan, and the sacrifice of the HDD cage. But you could still slap a couple of SATA SSDs around to make of for some of the HDD cage loss. The worst choice they made was the excess of side panel ventilation. A substantial portion of the front INTAKE airflow will be lost out the bottom of that side panel. Covering the extra triangle they added this generation could improve the path of fresh air to the GPU and not wasted out the side panel. Can the panels be swapped?
Always love your videos man, they get me thinking.
