As a Filipino, I’ve always cooked my fried rice like this! I’m so glad you liked it 🤍💕 my advice to elevate the flavor even more: have this fried rice with some chili paste rather than the chili oil! Chili paste gives it a really nice sweetness along with the spicy flavor

I made this tonight for our tea 😋Really enjoyed it and would make again. I think cashew nuts would be good with this and maybe a spoonful of curry or stirfry paste 🤔. Thanks for sharing 😊

I just tried this recipe. Love it! I have a suggestion regarding chili oil. There are so many very easy recipes online to make your own. So much better than searching all over the place for it!

When I cook rice just before making fried rice I spread it on a baking sheet to cool

My favourite chilli oil I've had in the UK is 'White Mausu Smoky Chilli Oil' - absolutely delicious and very different to the usual 'chilli flakes in some oil' that you find.

I haven't seen that exact method, the one i have seen if you separate the yolk, mix that into the rice and cook and then cook the white as you normally would so you have the best of both worlds, I am curious which works best !

Looks great! Will try but with tofu being vegetarian. Yeung Man Cooking has a recipe for chili oil on his TH-cam page. I got some on Amazon here in Canada.

I know, #Chetna, you are probably aware, but in case you haven't tried it (or I missed the video with you showing us how to), when you make the rice, add a tablespoon of #SoyaSauce into the water; it adds a nice flavour to the rice. When I make this dish, (and I make it a LOT), I add chilli sauce to the rice water, as well! Thanks for sharing! ❤
PS: The "Rooster" chilli sauce used to be the best kind (chilli & garlic) - but it seems the company has gone out of business. 😢

I slice onions exactly the same way with the slight nuance of peeling first and cutting in half second. Its the best way. People watching me think at any time I will slip and cut my hand. So not only do we get to annoy the professionals, we entertain our friends. Win-Win.

I cut in half, then peel - it gives me more edges of the peel to go at!
