Ok so Give that Old Yellow Cab Towing Machine some 1 Ton Axels and 4 Wheel Drive . Then Lift it 2 inches cause that's all it will need with the 1 Ton Muscle under it. Make the old PTO disappear and use some Large capacity winches and string them through the Lift. Keep the Hydraulics for the Lift But Make it run on an electric Pump that is run by the limited slip drive shat of the transfer case. That will make that thing a true beast.
I think the van is a really interesting vehicle. Nobody really works on stuff like this. I am so sick of watching endless muscle car and square body revivals. I enjoy it when someone fixes one of the oddballs. Those are the cars that are actually rare.
Yeah, I've seen a few of the old Ford vans on Utube, but this is the first Chevy I've seen. It's pretty cool. 😎 Hope you get all the small stuff done. That would be sweet! 🥳
I agree, you make it fun despite the setbacks. Are you brothers, I assume so. Who is the lucky individual that gets to clean your clothes during these episodes?
Funnest thing I've seen in a while ,I'm a new subscriber me and my wife watch Lots of different car channels I've been a mechanic for 40yrs so we get it ,happy belated birthday 🎉and the van Is awesome want to see more of it
Vans are so much fun. One of the great things about those old mid-engine vans is that the elements don't get to them much so you don't get as many rot and weather issues.
My Dad bought a brand new 1966 Chevy Sportvan in Blue and White for the family car. It was a 194cuin with 3-speed column shift. I learned how to drive in it. It was a shorter wheelsbase than yours. We called it "The Chariot" (Lost in Space reference). I remember it was fun to drive. I hope you guys fix it up and have more videos on it.
Even tho I’m not a huge ford fan they have the best inline motors. The 200 and 300 straight 6s are in my opinion best I6s made. Also I love the comment about making things run good vs just making them look good. It’s sorta a pet-peeve of mine when someone barely has a vehicle limping along and then drops 5k in airbags and lowering kits. But I digress. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming!!
My dad bought one of these in 1976 as a second vehicle! Don’t know if this is a thing but watch those wing windows. As a kid I had to have my wing window open. One day while making a left turn, the glass flew right out and landed in the intersection. Great video fellas!!!
Appreciate that! You're the only comment so far that hasn't said bad things about that part. "That's not funny" from other people, I wonder what they would be like at a comedy show, they would not survive lol.
awesome job u guys....my parents had on of those vans when I was a kid....dad built a child seat on the engine hatch with a seat belt for me.....I learned how to drive on his lap in that van.... keep up the good work....love our channel....
The first truck is most likely positive ground. I think most 6-8 Volts are. The first time you turned the truck over, you could hear it had no compression. The Van is cool.
You gotta do it yellow with some flames on the front. It would be really ironic, but it would look cool. You do need to keep it yellow as a nod to it's past. I think it's a super cool truck, and thee can't be many of them left.
Its super cool how that tow truck tells a tale, just sitting.. appears it came green stock, then Checker painted it yellow & black🤷🏻♂️ & the brush strokes from the black.. just perfect 😍🤗 It needs a wore out Checker cab logo, if ANYTHING.. #butwhatdoiknow
As a young child we owned a 1973 Dodge Maxivan that was different color blues and inside was all black shag with a queen size bed in the back. Im obsessed over 70's vans❤
I'm a fan of the 250 I6, got one in my 73 Squarebody and have driven by your junkyard a few times with it. It's got a 3 speed with overdrive behind it which makes high way cruising much betterer!
Enjoyed the video! I love the old vans where you sit in front of the front wheels like that. Toyota even made one for a while, until front wheel drive took over. I tried not to like your van, until i saw the ckutch pedal, and then it became LOVE! One day, I might even chop something to make a van like yours...... Now, about that Corvair with the hood scoop on it....
I'm glad you are making them run and drive and not crushing them. .as the owner of a classic mid engine chevy g10 and lover of long roofs, I love the van as well as that Hella cool blue wagon .Every wagon, van or suburban that's still around should be put back together in my book unless they are sooo rotten or basically totalled . I'm in many g10 as well as multi make van clubs and groups as well as classic wagons and magnum wagon specific clubs as I have 2 and in suburban clubs as I have 3 I alternate driving but my van is my only classic. Loved watching this Hella cool video. The van is awesome and she deserves to be back on the road
Best straight 6 is hands down a ford 300. They're damn near indestructible. Do not get like an 84-88 though. Not exactly sure on the years but ford used an ecm controlled carb and they always fail and the only way to fix it is to rip all of it (carb, distributor, intake, exhaust) has to be changed. I daily an 86. 😂
Love it Guys.. Keep em coming. The van is truly a Daily driven Death Trap mobile if ever there was. LoL. She already has a face that looks like it been planted into a wall LoL. Nice and flat with NO protection and rust in the floor under your feet. You Guys Rock..
That is cool to see a no door van, that is actually hard to find version in them years, awesome find for sure.... Good to hear was in Iowa, lived there years ago...
Without question… ford 300! Nice work.. Working on ignition. Talking about how the ignition module is same as other th350’s.. isn’t th350 a transmission? You guys be cracking me up!

Part of the ignition system clue is right next to your left ear...a ballast resistor! 6 volt systems did not have one, therefore I believe it is a 12 volt conversion. A 12 volt coil without a ballast resistor will work "OK" on 6 volts, but not so hot on starting. Hook up 12 volts and send it! The faster rotation might give you enough compression to start it.
Hey That van Is a nice little truck, I restored 1 back in 1975, Put a bed in back, 6 inch white fur hanging from ceiling,Girls loved it.Go to a junkyard buy a 500 dollar LS 5.3 put in, Be a nice driver for work.
I recently started watching your channel and love what y'all do... Plus there's plenty of eye candy as well with you two🥵... Those booties! Lol... Hottest will it run guys on TH-cam! 😉
Happy birthday Sean! 🎉 Also, where do we find tires or rims and tires for this thing? Where can we get them changed? What you want to see next!?
Corvare or the Torino in the garage. You guys krack me up 😂 hens teeth 😅
REBUILD THEM ALL UP NOW GET THEM UP NORTH KEEP UMM
THERE GOING TO STOP BUILDING AN SELLING GAS ⛽️ AN GAS TRUCKS AN CARS
HBD brother.
Semi truck tire shops will most of the time change the split rim tires.

Love that van definitely want to see more of it
Will do!
It's a "Scooby Doo" van . . . you meddling kids.
It's the Mystery Machine! 😁I don't know what it is about old vans, but I love seeing them getting back up and running.
Us too!
I sware I made my comment before I seen yours and then was scanning comments to see if anybody was thinking the same thing 😆
@@RobertDickens2002 great minds, and all that. :)

I agree! you never see 1 ton or bigger trucks either, or tow trucks really any thing bigger than a pickup or car is not revived/restored
Yeah, I've seen a few of the old Ford vans on Utube, but this is the first Chevy I've seen. It's pretty cool. 😎 Hope you get all the small stuff done. That would be sweet! 🥳
Awesomeness, great job
Thank you!
You guys make me smile, I love your junk yard and would love to hear the history of the place. It looks amazing
Thanks! Someday we'll do an update video on the yard

Was really looking forward to seeing the ole wrecker up and going
Soon! We promise!
My favorite in-line six is a 225 on a slant.
The Leaning Tower Of Power. I am pretty sure there is no way to kill one.
Hope you watched the dodge video then!
@DailyDrivenDeathTraps I did, it was great. My first truck was a 1986 D100 with a 225. It was gutless, rusty, and I would do anything to have it back.
64 to 66 G10 and Three Musketeers LOVE !!!!!!
You guys are crazy. Great job getting the old van going again!!!
Haha thanks! We try!
Be careful you don't wear out that shifter tho... 😮 its perfect.
🤣🤣🤣🤣

At 27:57 you found an old 50s Chevy truck hood ornament there sorta hard to find in good condition been trying to find one for mine lol
We have a ton of stuff shoved in every car/ building here 😬😬
How much can they go for?

I like the Chevy Van! I think it’s worth putting some effort into it. Enjoyed the video!
Thanks! 💪🏻💪🏻
Yalls yard is a mix of the movie nothing but trouble and sanford and son😂 love the videos guys
Love it! Keep up the great work and have fun!!
Another great video guys really enjoyed it, well done. Can’t wait to see the future video of that old tow truck 👍👍
Thanks 👍 Glad you enjoy our videos!
The best 6 cyl, was a 1929 Chevy Stovebolt flathead 6
You boys have great content really fun channel to watch
Thank you!!!!
Favorite inline 6 is Chevy. Best is the Ford 300-6 by far
In australia ford had some really cool i6 like the intech and barra, the barra even with stock internals could be upgraded to 1000hp no problem
That's crazy
@@DailyDrivenDeathTraps we had inline 6s in the ford falcon up until 2016 and at some points they were only 25-30kw less than the v8s in the same cars
I got a 95 f150 with the 300 love it so much!
those are great inlines but mopar's slant six is bulletproof.
I had the Dodge version of this. The A-100.
Your Chevy is a no side door model. Kind of rare. Ford and Dodge had that option as well.
Glad I had struck around. This channel is badass and satisfying to watch cars and trucks back to life
Glad you enjoy it! 💪🏻
I love it. You should fix it up some and use it as a tow vehicle to get cars for your channel.
Regards from Ody Slim. BTW, I still want the Javelin 🙂
For sure! Haha I think the javelin might be staying with us. Unless the video blows up before February!
I dont blame you for keeping it. They are awesome cars! @@DailyDrivenDeathTraps

Thank you 🤗
Get a Chevy 292 six it’s a great engine. Try to restore it as a wrecker.
I dig that 1960's Chevy G10 .
If that's the original 3.8L motor it supposedly has 142hp..
Not fast but not terribly slow either.
Anddddddd this is a place I drive by every day.
Haha, now don't come stealing everything 😜😆
292 strait 6 is my favorite
👍🏻👍🏻
