Happy birthday Sean! 🎉 Also, where do we find tires or rims and tires for this thing? Where can we get them changed? What you want to see next!?
Corvare or the Torino in the garage. You guys krack me up 😂 hens teeth 😅
REBUILD THEM ALL UP NOW GET THEM UP NORTH KEEP UMM
THERE GOING TO STOP BUILDING AN SELLING GAS ⛽️ AN GAS TRUCKS AN CARS
HBD brother.
Semi truck tire shops will most of the time change the split rim tires.
Ok so Give that Old Yellow Cab Towing Machine some 1 Ton Axels and 4 Wheel Drive . Then Lift it 2 inches cause that's all it will need with the 1 Ton Muscle under it. Make the old PTO disappear and use some Large capacity winches and string them through the Lift. Keep the Hydraulics for the Lift But Make it run on an electric Pump that is run by the limited slip drive shat of the transfer case. That will make that thing a true beast.
Love that van definitely want to see more of it
Will do!
I think the van is a really interesting vehicle. Nobody really works on stuff like this. I am so sick of watching endless muscle car and square body revivals. I enjoy it when someone fixes one of the oddballs. Those are the cars that are actually rare.
Glad you like it!!
I agree! you never see 1 ton or bigger trucks either, or tow trucks really any thing bigger than a pickup or car is not revived/restored
Yeah, I've seen a few of the old Ford vans on Utube, but this is the first Chevy I've seen. It's pretty cool. 😎 Hope you get all the small stuff done. That would be sweet! 🥳
It's the Mystery Machine! 😁I don't know what it is about old vans, but I love seeing them getting back up and running.
Us too!
I sware I made my comment before I seen yours and then was scanning comments to see if anybody was thinking the same thing 😆
@@RobertDickens2002 great minds, and all that. :)
My favorite in-line six is a 225 on a slant.
The Leaning Tower Of Power. I am pretty sure there is no way to kill one.
Hope you watched the dodge video then!
@DailyDrivenDeathTraps I did, it was great. My first truck was a 1986 D100 with a 225. It was gutless, rusty, and I would do anything to have it back.
You guys make me smile, I love your junk yard and would love to hear the history of the place. It looks amazing
Thanks! Someday we'll do an update video on the yard
I agree, you make it fun despite the setbacks. Are you brothers, I assume so. Who is the lucky individual that gets to clean your clothes during these episodes?
Even tho I’m not a huge ford fan they have the best inline motors. The 200 and 300 straight 6s are in my opinion best I6s made. Also I love the comment about making things run good vs just making them look good. It’s sorta a pet-peeve of mine when someone barely has a vehicle limping along and then drops 5k in airbags and lowering kits. But I digress. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming!!
Thank you!
i'm not a ford fan either...they do make a good inline 6 but mopar slant sixes are bulletproof.great vid sir!👍
Vans are so much fun. One of the great things about those old mid-engine vans is that the elements don't get to them much so you don't get as many rot and weather issues.
True! But mice love it haha!
@@DailyDrivenDeathTrapsNeed a couple of large kitties 😸 for the mice 😂😂😂
You guys are crazy. Great job getting the old van going again!!!
Haha thanks! We try!
Be careful you don't wear out that shifter tho... 😮 its perfect.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Awesomeness, great job
Thank you!
I had a 1966 Chevy van in the 90's was a great time
I love it. You should fix it up some and use it as a tow vehicle to get cars for your channel.
Regards from Ody Slim. BTW, I still want the Javelin 🙂
For sure! Haha I think the javelin might be staying with us. Unless the video blows up before February!
I dont blame you for keeping it. They are awesome cars! @@DailyDrivenDeathTraps
Favorite inline 6 is Chevy. Best is the Ford 300-6 by far
In australia ford had some really cool i6 like the intech and barra, the barra even with stock internals could be upgraded to 1000hp no problem
That's crazy
@@DailyDrivenDeathTraps we had inline 6s in the ford falcon up until 2016 and at some points they were only 25-30kw less than the v8s in the same cars
I got a 95 f150 with the 300 love it so much!
those are great inlines but mopar's slant six is bulletproof.
Yalls yard is a mix of the movie nothing but trouble and sanford and son😂 love the videos guys
I like the Chevy Van! I think it’s worth putting some effort into it. Enjoyed the video!
Thanks! 💪🏻💪🏻
64 to 66 G10 and Three Musketeers LOVE !!!!!!
Another great video guys really enjoyed it, well done. Can’t wait to see the future video of that old tow truck 👍👍
Thanks 👍 Glad you enjoy our videos!
My dad bought one of these in 1976 as a second vehicle! Don’t know if this is a thing but watch those wing windows. As a kid I had to have my wing window open. One day while making a left turn, the glass flew right out and landed in the intersection. Great video fellas!!!
Haha, we were watching them, both were sketchy and almost falling out 😆 good memories! 😁
Love it! Keep up the great work and have fun!!
Glad I had struck around. This channel is badass and satisfying to watch cars and trucks back to life
Glad you enjoy it! 💪🏻
You boys have great content really fun channel to watch
Thank you!!!!
You guys have a future Scooby Doo van!!! Would love to see the tow rig brought back to life!!👍💪😎
Us too! Soon!
Great job guys. Another great video 👍👍
Thank you 🤗
My Dad bought a brand new 1966 Chevy Sportvan in Blue and White for the family car. It was a 194cuin with 3-speed column shift. I learned how to drive in it. It was a shorter wheelsbase than yours. We called it "The Chariot" (Lost in Space reference). I remember it was fun to drive. I hope you guys fix it up and have more videos on it.
Good memories!
The first truck is most likely positive ground.
I think most 6-8 Volts are.
The first time you turned the truck over, you could hear it had no compression.
The Van is cool.
Yeah we need to get an ear for that sorta thing. 😆
At 27:57 you found an old 50s Chevy truck hood ornament there sorta hard to find in good condition been trying to find one for mine lol
We have a ton of stuff shoved in every car/ building here 😬😬
How much can they go for?
@@AJSeemanI’ve seen them on eBay from 150- 600
Please do a van build! Not enough appreciation for how useful these vehicles are
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Was really looking forward to seeing the ole wrecker up and going
Soon! We promise!
As a young child we owned a 1973 Dodge Maxivan that was different color blues and inside was all black shag with a queen size bed in the back. Im obsessed over 70's vans❤
Nice!
Its super cool how that tow truck tells a tale, just sitting.. appears it came green stock, then Checker painted it yellow & black🤷🏻♂️
& the brush strokes from the black.. just perfect 😍🤗
It needs a wore out Checker cab logo, if ANYTHING.. #butwhatdoiknow
Put modern axles under that wrecker and restore as-is, colors and all. That is the most unique rig I've ever seen!
Funnest thing I've seen in a while ,I'm a new subscriber me and my wife watch
Lots of different car channels I've been a mechanic for 40yrs so we get it ,happy belated birthday 🎉and the van
Is awesome want to see more of it
Thanks and welcome!
Outstanding guys 🤘🤘🤘
I just stumbled across your channel today. It’s nice to see the younger generation into these old vehicles. I’m just catching up on your past videos. Me and my buddy do the same thing. We don’t got no channel but we’re truck drivers… just keeping it real
Thanks so much! We try to challenge ourselves once in a while haha, someday we'll try an exotic that's been left for dead and that'll be super hard.
You guys are awesome just living the dream doing things your way and keep these relics alive and going
Thanks! Will do!
You gotta do it yellow with some flames on the front. It would be really ironic, but it would look cool. You do need to keep it yellow as a nod to it's past. I think it's a super cool truck, and thee can't be many of them left.
Cool 💡
Another great one yall thank you! Makes me look forward to my next day off to work on my Accord
Cracked me up on the candy abduction ,that funnyness is what keeps the peeps watchin., new subscriber BTW
Appreciate that! You're the only comment so far that hasn't said bad things about that part. "That's not funny" from other people, I wonder what they would be like at a comedy show, they would not survive lol.
That G10 van is cool! Is a nice one. 😊
Enjoyed the video! I love the old vans where you sit in front of the front wheels like that. Toyota even made one for a while, until front wheel drive took over. I tried not to like your van, until i saw the ckutch pedal, and then it became LOVE! One day, I might even chop something to make a van like yours...... Now, about that Corvair with the hood scoop on it....
I'm usually late to yalls videos but love every minute of them
Thanks!
We had a Chevy van like this, it was so fun to drive! I loved it.
Y’all were asking a whole lot of that little Toyota.
Well we woulda had the Chevy but... Ya see what happened there lol
@@DailyDrivenDeathTraps lol I totally understand
Love the content 👍
Glad you like it!
build it as a work/ boogie van!! PLEASE vans need love too!
Just found this channel today..Brilliant
Welcome! 🙌🏻
Love it Guys.. Keep em coming. The van is truly a Daily driven Death Trap mobile if ever there was. LoL. She already has a face that looks like it been planted into a wall LoL. Nice and flat with NO protection and rust in the floor under your feet. You Guys Rock..
Haha! Truly is a DDDT mobile. Kinda reminds me of a pug. 😆 Thanks for watching!
Nice work!!! Diggin the videos!
Appreciate it!
Thanks for another great video and I enjoyed your silly ness keep up the amazing work and keep the videos coming I look forward to another silly video and u should keep making them 😊❤
Love the look of these old vans.
Us too! Better than modern
just finished refreshing a chevy 250 inline 6 in my 74 firebird. yes, some models came with the 250 inline, very oddball to see in person.
Nice!!
Another awesome video guys thanks!
I can change them tires for you but I'm in Michigan but I would come down there just to help
Thanks! We're gonna contact a few more shops, farmers, bus mechanics and such. Appreciate it!
I'm a fan of the 250 I6, got one in my 73 Squarebody and have driven by your junkyard a few times with it. It's got a 3 speed with overdrive behind it which makes high way cruising much betterer!
I love these cabover vans! I always thot the designers were off their Ricker for putting the engine in there like that. But I still love em!
I had the Dodge version of this. The A-100.
Your Chevy is a no side door model. Kind of rare. Ford and Dodge had that option as well.
Anddddddd this is a place I drive by every day.
Haha, now don't come stealing everything 😜😆
FREE CANDY STORY TRUE!! I am a musician and when I was 19 I was touring through the countryside in Canada. We were in a small town getting set up at the gig and our joke used to be that we should write "Free Candy" on the side of the bus and we thought it was hilarious. Our light man and one of my best buds from school and we even went to church together as kids.He was always the guy that took things a step further for the joke and to top us all. So the guys (I was at the Hotel so I was only at the other end of the mess) decided to pull up to some young woman with some younger kids and he actually said "Hey you guys want some free candy from the door of the bus. Then everyone laughed and they drove away. Well a few hours later there's a knock on the room door and there stood the POLICE. RCMP NO LESS!!! Who wanted to know who was trying to lure the girls into the bus with candy. HOLY CRAAP!! I was stunned at the seriousness of it all. I guess the young woman that was baby sitting the kids ran and reported it to the RCMP and said it was much worse than it really was. I wonder if she was just upset because she couldn't actually go on the bus and they had driven away before she could get to know the boys? But no matter we told the police there's no way that we would ever do or say such a thing and that there must be some mistake. Etc. Well we hadn't actually done anything wrong but it really freaked us out. We didn't joke about it anymore after that. However apparently the young woman was seen at the club we were playing at that week. Crazy!!
Some women blow things wayyyy out of proportion, well some men do too but in this case it was a girl lol, Idk how you dont think it was fake when everyone laughed after and drove away. That sucks tho, I hate when someone goes off on a tangent for no reason lol
@@DailyDrivenDeathTraps LOL. Yea it was all really weird. Maybe because there were younger kids with her or something. But it was blown WAAYYY out of proportion.
That van was customized(shaggin wagon)hence the shag..table benches that would fold down into a bed...that's where the kinky cuffs come in
That G van has potential. And the candy prank was hilarious! Loving the channel guys.
Glad you like it haha!
I recently started watching your channel and love what y'all do... Plus there's plenty of eye candy as well with you two🥵... Those booties! Lol... Hottest will it run guys on TH-cam! 😉
Keep on truckin I'm loving it
Will do!
You guys are awesome
❤️
Mystery Oil is mostly Dex/Merc. That is why it is red. It just Transmission fluid, but they charge twice as much for it.
Why's it smell so good tho lol
Love these guys.
Thanks! ❤️😆
great to see younger generation building cars and trucks
Appreciate that 💪🏻
Happy Birthday "Big Boy" Sean :D That was something !
Hahah! Thanks!
Dude! Ive been looking for one of them vans! I use to have one back in the day and I really miss it! Im a new subscriber and been binge-watching! Lol!
Welcome!! The van has been sold 😮
Loved your vids had to subscribe understand the cold midwest just to your south in Missouri
Thanks!!
sorry guys but the parts store didnt seem to be happy to see you even with the candy lol🤣🤣
😂
Like to see it functioning again. See y’all towing cars. That would be cool. Updated stuff to be able to tow cars of course.
We'd like to see if functioning too. Just need to get it out of the hole, find some tires and slap that other 6 in it.
Really fun channel to watch..you guy's are funny as hell ...
greets from holland...max....
Haha thanks! We try to keep it upbeat and real 🙌🏼
The best 6 cyl, was a 1929 Chevy Stovebolt flathead 6
That is cool to see a no door van, that is actually hard to find version in them years, awesome find for sure....
Good to hear was in Iowa, lived there years ago...
Right on!
Rat rod tow truck would be cool. I wish I could find something like that for my first rat build!
Can't wait to try and finish it!
That was a really straight van without a cracked window, too. Nice bones !
Waiting to watch the cleaning of the van , and the tow truck
We cleaned some parts!
good show😎👍🎉
That van is on point..👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks 👍🏻
I agree with everything you guys do hope to hear back from you
Glad you like the channel!
The tow truck i think is illegal to have split rims first off. Second you will need the correct hub-piloted wheels for it. 😊
They’re probably grandfathered in but we’ll check on that for sure!
I dig that 1960's Chevy G10 .
If that's the original 3.8L motor it supposedly has 142hp..
Not fast but not terribly slow either.
Without question… ford 300! Nice work..
Working on ignition. Talking about how the ignition module is same as other th350’s.. isn’t th350 a transmission? You guys be cracking me up!
Sometimes the ol noggin just spits words different from what I actually meant
Had one of these in the early 80s I was 18. Wish I never sold it.
Hey Guys, great show loved it and I would so name that beast The Mystery Van, in honor of the Scooby Doo Show and it's mystery shifter.
Thanks!
Part of the ignition system clue is right next to your left ear...a ballast resistor! 6 volt systems did not have one, therefore I believe it is a 12 volt conversion. A 12 volt coil without a ballast resistor will work "OK" on 6 volts, but not so hot on starting. Hook up 12 volts and send it! The faster rotation might give you enough compression to start it.
Awesome G salute! 🫡
Thank you! 💪🏻
I love those old rare vans I've always wanted one I'm interested in that van
That looks to be a 65 or 66 chevy van . They could be ordered with the 6cyl and they had the 283 V8 option . I had a 65 with the 6 cyl 3 spd on the tree that was rust free that i bought from the bone yard i worked at back in the early 80s that the owner bought at the auction and I bought it for 150.00 and all it needed was rear tires . Mine had the side doors and the rear interior was all carpeted. They get hot inside during the summer but in the winter the heat coming off the dog house would help heat the interior up some . The battery was right behind the passenger seat with a steel cover over it which helped keep a little warmer in the winter . I had it for years driving it every day then sold it to a friend who drove it for a few years then he sold it to another friend we knew who had it for 2 years until he rolled it lol . Mine sat up pretty high all the way around so it was easy to work on from underneath and with some weight in the back with snow tires it went through the snow damn good . One thing to watch out for is the gas pedal and the shaft it slides on both have splines on it and they have a tendency to strip the splines off so you wil have to find a good donor for that or weld it the linkage. After i sold mine that happened to my buddy and he used a vise gripe clamped onto the shaft as a gas pedal lol .
I’ve always wanted a van like that
Scooby Doo‘s mystery machine is back on the street again
I have owned a 292 very good engine just o!d 1964 I sold it very sad for doing that
I was really confused when you stopped with wrecker …… would blove to see you get that done first
Budget wise. We already went and got a different engine for it then tires are 300 a piece and there's 6 of them. That's without mount and balance. It'll come later.
I would love to see a van build.
225 slant
Header, cam, Offenhauser triple intake and side drafts
Hey That van Is a nice little truck, I restored 1 back in 1975, Put a bed in back, 6 inch white fur hanging from ceiling,Girls loved it.Go to a junkyard buy a 500 dollar LS 5.3 put in, Be a nice driver for work.
Haha that's awesome, and yeah that would be cool too. Maybe when the 250 gives out or were just feeling frisky.
Best straight 6 is hands down a ford 300. They're damn near indestructible. Do not get like an 84-88 though. Not exactly sure on the years but ford used an ecm controlled carb and they always fail and the only way to fix it is to rip all of it (carb, distributor, intake, exhaust) has to be changed. I daily an 86. 😂
Sit the tow truck on a dually frame with air bags and chrome rims and a big block.
That would be sick, if we had the cash 😆
The best inline 6 I ever had were the 292 Chevy
💪🏻💪🏻
I'm a Chevy guy but I had a old Ford truck that had a 300 inline 6 cylinder and they are pretty much bullet proof
That’s a neat van
Get a Chevy 292 six it’s a great engine. Try to restore it as a wrecker.
