I gew up on Hetzel. Slightly sad there was no shots of the school, the park or other roades besides mostly Rescue Street. I recoginize those woods though and passing by the spring/castle was always lovely. Thank you.
I love everything you do. Seriously. I watched Casey for years, got burnt out...your stuff reminds me of why I began loving this kind of storytelling in the first place. Keep it going, you're great.
So I literally just stumbled upon your channel like 2 weeks ago and in that time you've rose to the top of my favorite TH-camrs. Your camera work is incredible, and what I love about your content is that it's not sensationalized. It's a very real look at our city's people and culture, but at the same time very wholesome. I've lived near/frequented Pittsburgh my whole life, but I try to watch your videos from the perspective of an outsider. That being said, you've made me fall in love with Pittsburgh all over again and helped me to appreciate things that would otherwise be taken for granted. I believe many others would agree too. Keep doing what you're doing man, cause it's awesome. Hope to bump into you someday and say what's up!
Stumbled across this channel recently; watched a couple vids and still watching. lol Glad he did Spring Hills. It, like Troy Hill, is so underrated. Amazing and beautiful views. I lived in Troy Hill right on a cliff WHICH was a bit of an issue during the winter when I almost backed off it when leaving my apartment. Anyways, love the vids and for me (since I moved out of Pgh almost a year ago to live in Austin TX) it's great seeing all these reminders of how amazing Pgh really is. Thanks for the vids!
I have a question for you ? Back in 1989 and the early 90s I lived in Highland Park and they had a Citi parks pool I had gone there and I know it closed down it was really cool with a Neptune statue, Bloomfield had one that was in a back alley which was really awesome as well and I know they were spread out in different neighborhoods ,but my question is are any still in existence and how many were there and on a long shot where has the Neptune statue gone? Keep up the awesome work you are greatly appreciated, Stay Safe Dave at 53.
My best friend lives there. Tragically Monday he was found unresponsive and is currently in a coma he had a massive cerebral hemorrhage. I’m praying everyday he makes it but I don’t know. I’ve spent a lot of time in spring hill
The snow in various background shots was white. This is important to an old timer because you said the air quality was bad. Back in the 1960s, the snow turned black from the pollution. People older than me said that back before smoke control things were even worse. So I look at the video and see the improvement.
I totally had to FF through the trash time trial because the camera method make me nauseous. HAHAHA Otherwise, I look forward to your Allentown video! (HINT: The 'turn around' near Grandview Elementary School is a nice place to watch the 4th of July fireworks.. ) If you've already done Allentown, I WILL find it! Thanks for what you are doing! I miss home!
This is awesome. I live exactly right behind Spring Hill Brewing. Also a huge TH-cam documentary fan. You nailed the content and to speak to outsiders hard to explain but the video does the talking. I love the way the production was made. It reminds me of the neistat brothers HBO show from 10 years ago before Casey neistat was on TH-cam and he had a show with his brother
I hope you cover Brookline soon, most of my early childhood was spent living there and going to Dormont, your dormont video really brought back memories
dean im from pittsburgh i work down town im from a little town called millvalle alittle town across the river from lawrenceville u should come here and make a video shaler and etna are near me too great videos man i love pittsburgh never wanna move
Thx for another awesome vid..as a fellow yinzer its wonderful to see such cool 📹 showcasing our great city..u keep makin em and ill keep watchin...go steeleres...p.s...u should do vids about the history of sports in the burgh..just a suggestion.. Thx much dean
Big into film production and I’m from Pittsburgh and I love your content. Film tip, at around 2:15 you wanna have as much b-roll as possible to not show that cut. Keep doing these kinds of videos because they are amazing.
the clip with you running shirtless was legendary xD Carrick is like weird tho, you don't know if becks run/glass run considered carrick? because there's definitely some 'heavy' woods back there that i've never seen. the air might not always be as great in the winter but i love it personally.
Way to stick it out in the cold. Walking around in that weather for TH-cam likes is a big ask. Nobody would've blamed you for saying "More videos in April, I'm out!"
WHEN I WORKED AT THE NURSING HOME, THEN CALLED SKYVUE TERRACE, WE WOULD SEE DEER, RACOONS, GROUND HOGS ,ALL KINDS OF BIRDS, HUGE FLOCKS OF CROWS IN THE WINTER. IT WAS AMAZING HOW MUCH WILDLIFE THERE WAS ON SPRING HILL.
Regent Square isn't an official neighborhood. To the best of my memory. Its the convergence of 4 other neighborhoods. Edgewood, Swissvale, Wilkinsburg, and Point Breeze.
@@bonnevillebagger9147 Let me correct you...Edgewood, Swissvale, and Wilkinsburg are all boroughs, thus, they are not a part of Pittsburgh...Regent Square is an actual neighborhood...
Can I ask why none of your videos are monetized? You seem to make them all at least 10 minutes. And you are family friendly, and pretty PC in my opinion. I'm glad you started a patreon. But, why are you not monetized?
Me and my girlfriend got busted buying heroin in Spring Hill. I also used to buy crack there off another guy. That was 5 years ago. I been clean for 3 years.
This might be the most under rated TH-cam Channel I have ever come across, bravo sir
AGREED!
yeah 11k subs for content that should have 200+
I gew up on Hetzel. Slightly sad there was no shots of the school, the park or other roades besides mostly Rescue Street. I recoginize those woods though and passing by the spring/castle was always lovely. Thank you.
@ 4:30 One of my favorite places to visit on a Saturday night , back in 1955 , 6 , 7 ; anyone remember the two lanes of "duck pins" ?
Dude, love what you do for Pittsburgh. Just the energy, the tone set by music, your attitude and how people open up. Miss the Burgh
Great video. at 8:00 when you are running down through the pass, I expected you to come close to the camera with a Monty Python-esque...'IT'S"
Love what you're doing for the Burgh. Good work!
Come to the South hills more often. Would love to hear your thoughts on Mount Lebanon, Castle Shannon, and others.
I love everything you do. Seriously. I watched Casey for years, got burnt out...your stuff reminds me of why I began loving this kind of storytelling in the first place. Keep it going, you're great.

A great use of the city and nature! Thanks for the great videos as always.
Excellent work! Really enjoy how you focus on all the neighborhoods' communities.

Lawrenceville next would be awesome. Just the whole shopping aesthetic of mom and pop shops while maintaining community and shouldering little Italy.
Do one on Stanton Heights...
I am so curious what the ranking of this neighborhood is in the ranking system that doesn't really make any sense.
Are you doing observatory hill
Dude I love your videos
U gotta do Carnegie it’s got some history
Yo im liking this you gotta do baldwin or brentwood next
I live in spring hill.
My school is spring hill lumechrey.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Me and my girlfriend got busted buying heroin in Spring Hill. I also used to buy crack there off another guy. That was 5 years ago. I been clean for 3 years.
