Hi Scarlet, many thanks for your various videos. I had trouble with my patterning drums and went through the cleaning of them with you. I was so pleased. I kept everything in order and then followed this one to replace the plastic. All went beautifully until I came to putting the tension dial back on. I just cannot seem to get it to click into place. I presume the screw inside the grey selector bit has to slot into what my husband calls the ‘worm hole’ on the tension dial. We just cannot get it to go on. Any clues please?
Hi. Hmm. Have you used a piece of cord to pull the clip back that goes into the teeth of the cog?? Then you push down. It is tricky. But it should do if.
@@scarletpeate All done, thank you. I hadn’t realised that the plate under the tension dial moves! Once I put it closer to the centre, it went straight in. However, when I turn the tension dial it no longer makes a clicking sound, although the plates on the underside do move, so I am able to use it. I suspect it is the cogs on the dial which are worn down. I shall look for someone who sells new spares. Thanks again.
Thanks 😄👍🏻
