Very useful video thank you. Both sub drums on a Knitmaster 328 I've recently been gifted were siezed almost solid. Getting them free was tough, but it's all done now and spinning freely on both sides. Such a helpful video. Many thanks Caz
Thanks for your informative video . My carriage on my singer 700 that I got on ebay was actually froze to the rail. I watched another video on carefully using a hair dryer to heat the carriage drum up enough to get it at least off the rail.Be careful as to much heat could melt the plastic gears. I got the pattern drums off cleaned and lubed the shafts and inside the rollers with your help and the rest back together.
Excelente no pensé encontrar esto justo tengo ese problema muchas gracias por compartir solo ojalá fuera en castellano aunque se visualiza bien elvtrabajo
Fantastic explanation 👍😊 I have a problem. My knitmaster machine does not want to knit from the B position from right to left (it only knits from C position) It knits perfectly from left to right Would you know what that could be I’m hoping it’s just a setting somewhere Can you advise 🙏🙏🙏
check the functions on the k carriage by going through them off the machine. watch the cams on the back of the carriage as you go through the functions, youll probably find one is jammed or not moving properly.
yep, you can buy a screw remover, fits into a normal screwdriver pack. see this : www.saxtonblades.co.uk/impact-bits-other-accs/impact-bits-holders/damaged-screw-extractor-set?gclid=CjwKCAjwo4mIBhBsEiwAKgzXOGfrPgoVYgBg-_iiliOtbtKUlb8b7n9m4qpfqDx3YNP_zx-jN1uEQBoCXFsQAvD_BwE
I’ve followed this tutorial and everything was perfect thank you! My only issue now is I can’t seem to get the tension dial back onto the carriage, it only spins to tension 3 then won’t move. I heard the click when putting back in place and the metal part moves fine…any advice? Thank you
Hi there's a central pin under the stitch dial, move that to the centre of the carriage, it slides, and then put the stitch dial in, you'll have a lot more luck that way. You can also text our business number on Facebook under Spartan kmp and someone will be able to help
Hi, I'm in Brazil. I really need to repair the lace carriage lc2. I don't know how to open it to repair it. Could you make a video teaching? Thank you. God bless you!
Hello, happy holidays! I am a begginer, and I have a new Sllver Reed SK-280. When J am knitting a big peace, and tension is right, seems everything goes smoothly...suddenly, my carriage is stock and I am loosing my stitches, the half of my work is cutting off... It happenes over and over. I do not know what to do..Thank you
Greetings from Mossel Bay South Africa. I was gifted a 360/260k. The LH drum is jammed and the RH one is very stiff. I have followed your video but can't get the sub drums off the shafts. Any advice?
You need a large flat bladed screwdriver, gently pry it underneath the drum, twisting the blade of the screwdriver up gently. It will slide off eventually I promise, just be careful, take it slow, and be gentle with the screwdriver
Many thanks to you both for this excellent skill share 💯
Invaluable instructions, handy tips and great dialogue; very much appreciated 💯🖖🏼

Thank you so much! When the sub drum goes under the bracket are the pins supposed to be in? If theyre out they seem to jam for mt singer 360
You need to make sure the pins are under the main drum when reassembling
Great tutorial, any ideas as to what you could do if the carriage handle screw head has been rounded off/chewed up) and unable to remove.
