We at NaturAll Club, were inspired by Shea Glover’s work, People React to Being Called Beautiful”. We wanted to do a similar video celebrating black women so we approached random students at University of Southern California. See their reaction!
What the camera doesn’t show is us tearing up behind the camera sometimes. We hope you enjoy it! We surely enjoyed filming it!

I probably would have cried lol. & as being a black woman it feels good to see us lift up each other for once instead of all the other negativity going on in black communities

so true, I almost cried, when the young lady was told she was beautiful, and she put her head down ( as if she didn't feel that way) keep uplifting these women/girls because most PEOPLE are so quick to put us (black women) down

BLACK WOMEN ARE BEAUTIFUL! and because we don't get to hear that everyday like white women do, we appreciate it the most. It's sad to see how excited they were to actually hear it from others. Ot defenately made their days, I can tell. A deeply rooted issue that caused us to think we are ugly and society doesn't want us and then suddenly hearing it from someone else instead of standing in front of the mirror for everyday for an hour to convince ourselves we are beautiful, hell yeah! this even made MY day! I smiled through out the entire video feeling like it was directed to me as well. Women need to be complimented every now and then, but in the case of a black woman, WE NEED IT THE MOST! from anyone inside and outside our race. IT HAS TO BE TIME, WE NEED LOVE!
btw pleasd make another video of a black man telling them. I feel like nowadays it is becoming rare for black people to show eachother love instead of praising another race and degrading ours:( #onelove #blackisbeautiful #blacklove

I hate people who think black people are the rudest people ever when they are actually the nicest people ever. My best friend is a black girl and her name is Monet. She always makes me laugh and is so nice to me no matter what. She will stand up for anyone who ever bothered me. If someone is bullying me she'll get so mad. Thank you Monet! (And no I'm not black I am white)

What I've learned from watching these video's is that everyone is beautiful when they truly smile. It warms my heart every time I see there faces light up with these immaculate grins. I love these videos so much! I cry every time.

We've long lived in a society that has psychologically beat us down, telling us that we are ugly and not worth loving. Many Black men propagandize that message with their attitudes and actions. So, when we're extolled, we don't know how to react; we become emotional.
I cried when someone told me I was beautiful. As a black female I was told a lot as kid I wasn’t pretty or beautiful and to be told I am beautiful is empowering and I’m proud of my skin and heritage.
Their smiles were so gorgeous, I literally cried. Love this 💓
