I have a 5-6-year-old pair of Bose QC 35, so I was in the market for a new pair of headphones for boppin around, walking the dogs, etc. Picked up the Q30s for $75, updated the firmware, use the EQ app, and they are by far the best value for the buck. I'm an Apple guy and cannot justify in a zillion years the price of the Airpod Maxs. They are already a great value. If they last over time, this is the best value on the market today. Anker makes solid products.

I was wondering, how the sound quality of Bose QC 35 compares to the one of Soundcore Q30? I used the QC 35 in the past and i am thinking of getting the Soundcore ones. Your answer would really help me!

I owned the XM3s and I really liked them. My wife then bought the Q30s and I tried them and I was blown away. I sold the XM3s and bought a pair of the Q30s. The ANC is better on Sony headphones but the sound quality on the Q30s punches way above its price.

When I was shopping around a week ago for a good pair of headphones, I originally picked up the Sony WH CH 510 for $40 and I thought they sounded fantastic for the price. I then tried them on my wife's tablet that she listens to music on and they sounded better than on my phone so I gave them to her. I then decided to go get me a different pair of headphones and after seeing a 4.7 rating on the Walmart website, I decided to get the Sound Core Life Tunes (aka Q30 if bought online) and I was blown away with how great they sounded for being a $80 pair of headphones. I think for the most part people are buying Bose, Sony or Apple headphones because of the name brand itself just like they were with the Beats headphones awhile back. Yes a $300-$600 or more pair of headphones are going to sound great, but in my opinion the $80 Sound Core Q30 headphones by Anker sound just about as good as a pair of Bose or Sony for a fraction of the price. You could buy 4 pair of Sound Core headphones for less than the cost of the latest pair of Bose or Sony ANC headphones and give 3 of the pairs away as gifts to family members who probably wouldn't care that they weren't a pair of Bose because they are that good.

I bought a pair 6 months ago & unfortunately the left side cup stopped working (and the non Bluetooth wire connection stopped working also)
HOWEVER, one call to Anker UK (Soundcore) support & they were absolutely brilliant..no hassle, sent me a replacement pair within 4 days & return label to return my faulty pair. It was so hassle free.
Brilliant aftercare experience & great budget headphones which surprisingly sound great for the price.

I've been seeing a lot of great reviews on these until I saw one where oluv gadgets a known audiophile compared these to the m4 and these were superior in sound quality. Me already owned a pair of Sony's decided to get the q30 and well put them on and heard them and was impressed for the price then I started digging in the eq and they sound even better. So this Oluv guy recommended his custom eq settings and damn they sound better than the Sony even when trying to eq to Sony they just didn't get as good as the q30. soundcore has a winner here. I'm still shocked by the sound quality you can get out of these. The Sony has better ANC no competition there but ANC is pretty great for 79 bucks. I can't wait to see what they do with their next headphones whenever they make them. Even bought two pairs of q30s after as a gift for my Mom and nephew and custom tune them as well. They were very happy with the sound quality.

@@gustavoreview These are my first ANC Headphones so I have no comparison regarding the ANC, keep this is mind.
      I think they are awesome!
The sound quality is very nice. I can hear instruments and parts of the music I couldn’t hear before. The ANC works very good. Tested on a very loud car ride over 7 hours. When I had to take them off I realized how freaking loud it actually was in the car. I use them going shopping and it is nice to just phase out and forget everything around me.
Working in home office with playing kid and talking and working wife in the background I totally get lost in the quietness when listening to music.
The double paring is very usefully.
I also use them to watch movies on tv and they are really nice.
      Battery life is amazing!
I charged them once and used them for: 7 to 8 hours listening to music in very loud car ride. 2 to 3 hours listening to movies 2 to 3 hours listening to music while shopping. 1 to 2 hours just listening to music in home office. All of the above with ANC active and volume Limited to 85 dB by my iPhone while using them at maybe 80% of the volume range (so they actually would turn up a lot more, I think regarding the capability of the headphones I use them at around 60% to 70% of their volume range). Battery status still says high.

I remember watching this video years ago and it helped convince me to buy the Q30s and I have loved every aspect of using them. Long story short however, they have seemingly changed the way they manufacture their headphones causing awful sound in comparison so I have been looking for an alternative not from soundcore. I just bought a pair of the Sound Core Life Tunes (Q30) and they are amazing for the money! I had a pair of Beats Studio 3s and they shorted out on me after I wore them to the gym, obviously not very sweat resistant.
In fact that was the second pair of Beats Studios that broke on me after less than a year of use. I was getting ready to buy another pair and thought to myself, why? Let me try something else. I’m 54, I have tinnitus, I probably can’t hear well enough to warrant getting expensive headphones.

So I've had the Q20 since June 2020 and the ear cuffs have now completely broken off. Since they are so inexpensive I'm hard pressed not to just replace them with the same, however it irks me to put money on something that I expect will break the same way again. I've bought and am testing the Xm4 and while they do seem very nice, but I'm already feeling nostalgic for the physical buttons and overall simplicity of the Q20. With the Q20 there are no companion apps required, it has dual pairing, and can charge while listening which is huge for a dual purpose work/play headset.

I'd like to buy the XM4 because I'm so hyped about it, lot of good reviews, I've tried it as well on a store and compared it to my SHP9000 and I was really amazed with the difference. I played music at highest volume and it didn't hurt my ears. It's really a great experience. You'll enjoy every second of it. One thing you just have to consider is the price. A guy whose channel is named Oluv's gadgets said that Sony's sound like total crap with a stock EQ and I do believe him cause he makes unbiased in-depth reviews of headphones and speakers. In other words, he is not sponsored by any of the companies. He even goes as far as to provide audio samples with his binaural microphones. Just looking at the price of Sony's is enough to make me sick. The Q30s sound way better and with a personal EQ you are able to adjust them even more so than the Sony's which is great in my opinion. The only thing in which Sony's have the edge is the noise cancelling. Soundcore gave Sony a good run for their money with these. So glad to see "budget" ANC headphones getting better and better. Also with a soft guitar pick, the pad holders can be carefully removed (did it once for washing the pads) and clicked back on. Proper way would be to remove the original pads from the oval-shaped holders (they are glued on), then stuff the holders into the Sennheiser pads and click them back in place. We're far from poor and I purchased a pair these for my daughter and her husband for their trip to S. Korea. For the price they're pretty unbeatable and if you lose them you're not going to have heart failure. For everyday listening around the house I prefer open back headphones...
Oddly enough I am an audiophile .. if money is no object I can certainly help you spend it. My 2¢ is to buy a Sennheiser $170 58X / 150 ohms or $220 6XX / 300 ohms from Drop and if you can wait and you're okay with spending $1,100 they've listed an 8XX / 300 ohms. For both the 6XX and 8XX I'd probably recommend a Class-A DAC for most people. Even 150 ohms is hard to push with most DACs but there's a lot more options and for a lot less money. One of those scenarios where you're doubling if not tripling the price to get 5% more...

It's not about ANC or sound, Sony has a history of creating sounds and sound electronics, so when you buy Sony product of any, its the share of the history you acquire to be part of, Money comes and go so as products, but history remains. Cheaper thing don't last, as most copied the legendary of the game. Sony MX4 will continue to be the best headphones right now and its durability will last longer is what Sony products do.

@@TechOdyssey Sony will always be Sony with the history behind it. Many electronics companies came and went but Sony still the best in that department of stereo. And I know what I'm talking about. Remember it's not just the headphones you buy, it's more about the standard and the formula behind Sony products. Hope you understand what I'm talking about.

@@Dan1one1 I understand what you're saying. Brand reputation is important and it justifies a price higher than no name brands but it also isn't a reason I'm going to pay $300 over $79

    • @Dan1one1
      @Dan1one1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@TechOdyssey it's a good point you're saying, however Sony when they made these XM4 headphone they consider that they are the best ANC headphones in the market now, and it's standard of history on making best stereo, hence the price. But these other brands they are doing their best to introduce themselves into the market so they have to hook bait the customers to be drawn to them by making their product cheaper than the best out there. When you wear Sony headphones of any kind since child hood up to now, it's makes anyone feel good of the product and whom so ever sees it. Now that's the PRODUCT that feels Good inside out.

@@Dan1one1 New generation can still change.
Thats how Samsung for new generation are just ok than some old one.
On the High End, people can choose Apple which as much as their shady stuff, their phone and softwere are solid even more solid than gaming phone.
On medium and lower, theres Xiaomi and those chinese phone, takes time to beat samsung but ofc crawling from the bottom are marketing strategy too.
Only old guy who think theres pride because they are with their history.
New generation doesnt, they just need something that really value to performance.
So yes, sony would still stay afloat but things can change, and too many variation to sell also limit them to make much more perfect devices.
Anker doesnt give a sht about it, they go all in. Which new generation kind of thing like.

    Dear Anker,
I am writing to express my disappointment with your product, the Q30 headphones. After only six months of use, the plastic frame of the headphones cracked. When I reached out to your support team, they claimed it was due to misuse, despite the fact that there are numerous reports of similar issues online.
I have tried to resolve this issue by emailing your support team, but have yet to receive a satisfactory response after a month or two. As a customer, I expect better from a company like yours, and I hope that you will take swift action to address this issue.
    Dont buy this product
