Random tip...You can buy differentials for 124008 or 124010 and 2 sets of cvd shafts and put them into the 124019 or 124017. This gives you thicker axels. You can run it like that with plastic diff caseings or you can upgrade to full metal. The 124008 and 124010 differential casing is made of plastic and can be upgraded with metal casing from a full metal differential...you dissasemble both diffs and swap the axel cups from the 124008 or 124010 and put them into a full metal 144001/124017/124019 differential.. when i say diff casing im talking about the inner part that has the gears inside. The diff housing is the outter part that holds the differential and can also be upgraded to metal.
Thanks for all videos you do. I am a rookie in RC, just bought a couple of MJX 14210 to race my family in the backyard and WLT 124017 is on the way BUT I was somewhat impatient and ordered two Lipos S3 3300 mAh in ahead but now they don't fit to MJXes. Can anyone measure if it will fit for WLT 124017 ? Battery is 13,5 cm long, 4,3 cm wide and 2 cm high.
Hi! Thanks for asking me that question. There are 2 ways to mitigate this issue. 1. Use loctite 2. Use some heat to the nuts to melt the plastic in the nut for a few seconds. Should be fine after that.
Hi, great video with some useful tips. I ordered the bumper for my new124017 to provide protection for the front and rear suspension which I think will be really vulnerable to impact. But I have a problem with fitting the rear bumper because the holes for the screws on the plastic insert of the bumper don't line up with the holes on the chassis. Is there a solution for this?
@@MrYansonMRY When you say top, do you mean the front bumper and by bottom do you mean the rear bumper? When the rear bumper is pushed in it does feel quite secure so I might have to try and run it like this. Not really ideal though 😥
Hi, I have a similar 124016 and was wondering where the ESC calibration button is as I need to calibrate the throttle on the new Receiver/Transmitter. Thanks Heaps!
Just got the buggy today, the front left wheels toe is facing so much the the left the car essentially just goes str8 left. Can't believe the quality control. Now everytime I try to adjust the toe with the 1.5 hex the links just pops the entire thing off. It won't turn at all like it's glued. What do I do?
I see. It's ok to pop the entire link off first. Then, try to get extra tools to hold on the link securely to turn the 1.5hex according to your needs. Don't give up 👍🏼
@@MrYansonMRY Yeah I ended up taking them off and putting them on a plastic molded vice and spinning them loose. I STILL no matter what I do just can't get the cars to the correct zero toe on BOTH sides. Like I can do one but not the other and the car will always track one side or another and never go straight. I also added the X6 Gyro to it and maxed it out to help but it barely does in this case it will always pivot to on side. I have the parts to make it hit 70 but in this rate it's just a suicide crash. Even messed with the servo hex adjustment that just confuses me more.
Very sad to hear your frustrations just to make it right. However, it seems you want to make it for high speed purposes. Toe in setup is helpful for this. If the plastic links are loose, you might want to try out with metal links. They're adjustable without worrying about stripping the plastic links. Take it easy. Breathe in breathe out. You can do it brother 💪💪💪
Nice video, been wanting one of these for awhile, finally broke down and just ordered one gonna order bumper set also, prolly go with white lithium grease in diffs , so how is this car holding up any other mods you have to do? I heard the front hubs were a weak point, thanks again
Thanks for commenting! So far so good. Mine has been fine as long as I don't crash badly on any hard surface. The front hubs are just fine...for now. Upgrading to aluminium might be a good investment as it strengthens the front sections and might improve the steering response. Cheers mate! Hope you're having fun with yours👍🏼
Are you happy with the mods you have done or do you changed something? I think about which diff silicon i will use or maybe just normal grease. You used the 1000w are you happy with this decision? Greetings from Germany ✌️
For its size, I'm more than happy for mods I've done.👍 As for the grease, it'd be fine if using normal grease. I just used 1000W as I want full traction for its size. And I'm very happy with my decision as the hard silicone will slowly smoothen as time goes by.

Well, I preferably stay on plastic parts as they are less prone to break if there's impact. Meanwhile, aluminium parts will surely bend and stay bent whenever strong impact is applied. However, I appreciate your suggestion to upgrade aluminium parts. I'll consider maybe a few parts worth to upgrade ☺️
@@MrYansonMRY Sounds like nobody has tried. Seems like an appropriate hole could be drilled through the casing Where there is no interference, lube could be injected with a syringe and a self tapping screw inserted to close the hole. IMHO as a retired Engineer.

The bumpers are advertised backwards online, too. Flip them around and it will look way better
Yes and it did advertised as backwards too. I prefer to install it that way as it has wider stance and protection

It solved a little bit only.

Vibratite works well and you don't have to keep applying it.

As for me, I just screwed the top and left the bottom insert without screws. So far, it still holds up perfectly fine 🙂

In my opinion, the reset or calibration button is on the receiver. Just reset the binding procedure with hope that it would reset the throttle
