Looking back at old save files is one of my favorite things, whenever I get a used Pokemon game I love seeing what the previous owner had. I wish I still had my childhood game files from back in the day.
Oh same! I somewhat recently picked up a used copy of HeartGold, previous guy got into the hall of fame *20 times!* He even raised a special team, including Porygon - Z to do so!
@@Pixxeltrixx you ever find a rare "gem" of an old game that you bought online? Never had anything crazy myself but I had a friend who claimed he bought Pokemon Emerald at gamestop and he thinks the previous owner was trying to create a "shiny dex" as he found out the previous owner had 20 shinies in his pc as well as a shiny starter.
Same here. I finally managed to get a replacement for my Pokemon Black, and it was a used copy. Let’s just say that they didn’t make much progress. Was expecting something a bit more interesting, but I guess they didn’t have the patience or commitment to see the game through.
It’s cool that Emile can still open up his old AC Towns and reminisce like this. If I opened up my GC AC Town I’m pretty sure it’d be something straight out of Mad Max. Would love to see a return to Pallet in the near future.
He's kept it updated on the dream suite until shutdown. I visited in the final minutes before they shutdown online. Thankfully, pretendo actually SAVED HIS TOWN because it was still in the dream suite!!
I loves the New Leaf LP. The fact it's 10 years old is insane. I remember getting Shari as staring villager in New Horizons and laughing my ass off when I saw her. I still have the picture on my Switch
Seeing Curt set off my fight-or-flight response immediately. He terrorized my New Leaf town by giving weird gifts like plastic pottys and surveillance cameras. Those were genuinely the first items I got from him. Later, as I was talking to a villager who was telling me they were going to move away, I noticed they had a surveillance camera pointed directly at their shower stall. My conclusion was that Curt had been using these cameras to watch the villagers (and myself) doing things he really shouldn't be watching. Do not trust him
Binged this video in one sitting. Not only a blast of the past, but also still got the OG Chugga humor I've known since I was 8. Such a lovely video to see in these times. Please, never stop being you, even if only at a quarter heart.
Cannot believe the New Leaf series was 10 years ago, I can’t believe I was 9 when I watched that lol. I’ve been watching you for longer than I can remember and it’s always so comforting knowing little ever changes here at least and that there’s always something to come back to, thanks for that
As someone who has genuinely over the last few weeks been rewatching your New Leaf play through, you did something really special there. Not sure what you could do to follow it up but your style of content and Animal Crossing just fit SO WELL TOGETHER! 💫✨
There’s something a little bittersweet about revisiting old Animal Crossing saves after years of leaving it behind. Before New Horizons came out I went and revisited my siblings and I’s town on the Gamecube that has not been touched in over… I want to say when City Folk came out. Two of my siblings already gotten the gold and silver statue while I noticed on my file that I fully upgraded my house, but never got the bronze statue, so one of the last things I did in that town was finally paying off that debt and revisiting most of the villagers that were still around since the early days. As corny as that is, it’s bittersweet seeing the town again but with a whole different view now that I’m much older.
Makes me feel I should go back to my old village in New Leaf. I stopped playing cause well, you eventually just hit a point where there's no goals left to accomplish.
Given this was back in, what, 2008 or something? It probably is a really funny racist joke, back then people LOVED racist jokes done for the sake of funny, unlike nowadays. It seems wild to imagine it, but there's a reason people loved the days back then, and being able to say anything without having accusations shoved down your throat because back then people assumed you were being funny when you made a dark joke? Sounds like heaven.
@thefiresworddragon927 To be fair, racism isn't dark humor. It never was. Even if it were, it's a cheap method of trying to get laughs, like how a pro wrestler goes, "Your favorite sports team SUCKS!" in the hometown of said favorite sports team to get cheap heat.
I searched up your channel tonight because I was thinking of that very new leaf playthrough, and to find this video of a game that’s so close to my heart- albeit a month late- felt very special… felt kinda like coming home. Thank you for what you do
Howdy chuggaa, long time fan here. This is in regards to the idea of you doing another Animal Crossing series, mainly talking about for New Horizons. I'm speaking as someone who treasures your New Leaf playthrough very closely to my heart, as it came out during a rough period of my life that became so much brighter because of that let's play and getting to watch you craft a story of that town. It even inspired me to get the game at the time, which remains my favorite Animal Crossing game in the series and introduced me to one of my favorite characters now too, Ken It's already been stated how New Horizons does strip back the villagers, and that is the primary reason why i myself have fallen off of it, so i get the concern about how you won't be able to give the villagers you come across established personalities like you could in New Leaf. That said, i think it'd be a good idea to do something with New Horizons anyway! There's the potential for allowing more fan input than before given the sheer scope of what could be done to craft an island together (though, maybe even too big of a scope admittedly). And like you said, sometimes the villagers do have good dialogue, and i think as of the last updates of the game they've become more lively compared to the game's infancy, so there's still the opportunity to give these guys some established personalities Now, i don't think a playthrough of New Horizons would live up to what you did with New Leaf, if just because New Leaf, well, was a better game that had a lot of content to work with, and the bias i feel because of how close i hold that series to my heart, but i think you could still make something really special with New Horizons. Honestly, i just miss you playing Animal Crossing as well and would love to see a return to it in some way
I stopped playing New Horizons, oh, dear, I don't know when. But I genuinely can't think what they last added that I saw that seemed worthwhile. Personally, I'm not a fan of the gyroids and was annoyed when I dug those up instead of a potential new fossil...
Funny how everyone seems to feel like new leaf villagers had more personality, when i remember them very clearly having severely limited scripts that they would repeat back to you relatively frequently, and actually lacking more in personality. I loved the game i really did, but "being mean" isnt a personality, and often times when villagers were mean to you it was completely at random for weird shit and it didn't really add anything to them. But I guess that's just me, even replaying new leaf in this past year I didn't really see any difference between them and the villagers in new horizons.
@@starlette7820 I've been doing a daily series on New Leaf all of this year(not trying to plug just saying to reference how much I've been playing lately), and playing at New Horizons off and on recently... I'm not sure what people are really on about with the villagers having less personality. I've had more memorable moments of villagers in New Horizons in the few times that I've played the game this year than I have with New Leaf in 294 days.(Lord help me) Love both games, honestly have loved every AC game. Don't really get the hate/dislike towards New Horizons... My only thought is that New Horizons gave the player to much control over everything to do with their villagers to the point where, you can't really get a town villain by having a villager move in and crush your favourite flowers or only Orange tree or something, because you as the player get to decide where everyone lives and that seems to be a lot of people's memories of a villager being a jerk. Like I don't think I'm gonna forget Mott for building his house in the EXACT spot I was going to have as an intersection in my paths around town, and him for the first like week always demanding I get him stuff. Like he wasn't a jerk but his actions made him seem like a jerk and like he really didn't care about the town. To anyone else reading this, I do think people should give New Horizons another chance, or replay New Leaf to see just how little was actually changed from New Leaf into New Horizons. I can almost guarantee it's not as bad as you remember and New Leaf has a lot less personality than you remember as well. Not saying New Leaf is bad, just it does get hyped up a LOT, and not saying New Horizons is great, but I do feel it gets crapped on a lot more than it deserves.
@@starlette7820 I agree that the scripts for villagers in NL was limited, too. But the fact *that* there was a chance of them being mean made a nice change. In fact, I know NH has some really diverse text! Quite a lot, in fact. It's just that it's usually stuck in the postcards, not dialogue when talking to them.
As someone who has also put thousands of hours into this game and in new leaf as well. this video helped me remember why i love this series (and why new leaf is still the best game in said series) glad you are doing better Emile and i wish you a continued bright future. thank you for showing us this and i cannot wait to know what LP 50 is.
I came to your channel today to rewatch your New Leaf series for... probably the 10th time. I don't know why, but that playthrough is a huge comfort to me. What a treat to find a new video about Animal Crossing. Thank you, Emile! Edit: I do think a New Horizons playthrough could be successful. I've honestly been wanting to see you do one. I feel like the game has more to offer than people realize because often times we have so much control over the island that we plan everything at the start - throwing houses on beaches and just preparing to destroy everything. I'm playing it again now, but I've given up all the control willingly. I'm just playing to see what each day brings, and I'm enjoying it.
Chuggaa in Animal Crossing is peak comfort video content, I'm always more relaxed with his voice in my ears Also, Emile: you could've sold all your fruit to get the last of the cash you needed for Boondox
I haven't watched one of your videos in over 10 years... and i gotta say your voice is still THE EXACT SAME AS I REMEMBER IT XD Idk why I thought it might have changed, but for some reason that made me smile. I was obsessed with your playthrough of Marjoras Mask! This was a really nice video, I watched the whole thing. 🙂
literally the perfect video to watch along while eating ice cream; ive been wishing i could revisit my childhood new leaf town but i deleted it years ago during a depressive episode ;_; i love these kinds of videos, its so comfy and nostalgic
Old save files truly are the ultimate time capsule. They hold memories and depending on how customizable the game is it can really show just how different you were back then.
Absolutely love videos like this. Video games are such a personal medium, in my adult years, I find it so fun to run through any game honestly and talk about your memories and experiences with it, or hear someone else do the same. It hits different than with other stuff like talking about your favorite movie or show imo, it's one of the most genuinely heartfelt things about sharing your love for the medium. Animal Crossing specifically is such a perfect type of a game to do that with.
Hi Chuggaconroy, I used to watch your content all the time growing up :D i’m 22 now and i just wanted to tell u that ur so awesome and i’m so glad that you are still making videos! i’m going to watch ur videos more now and i’m super excited 👍 Keep up the good work
It would be cool if there was a full Wild World let’s play. I’m not begging for it, but it would be nice. Chugga’s New Leaf let’s play got me into the series.
Oh man what a throwback. Wild World was the first game I ever played online. That was back when I still had dial-up internet! I remember me and my friend spent like an hour on the phone with each other trying to get the wi-fi connection to work and then when we finally got it, my mom had to use the phone a few minutes later so we had to stop. Kids today don’t know how good they have it haha
I'm a few days late to comment, but wanted to say how happy I am to see this video. Emile's New Leaf LP will always hold a special place in my heart. I had the pleasure of meeting him in 2018 and got to tell him in person. I remember him saying how glad he was that people liked it because it was really difficult to produce. Thank you again, Emile, for sharing your love of Animal Crossing with all of us!
Regarding the New Leaf LP, I just wanted to let you know that I recently rewatched the whole series. It truly had a lot of heart in it, and it even made me dust off New Horizons with my wife (we hadn't played since the Paradise Planning update) and you helped us to enjoy something we hadn't played in a long, long time amidst busy times. We both even went back and finished up our critterpedias, and we recalled a lot of stories we had regarding our villagers (even though most call them bland, we definitely had some fun and stories with them). Long story short, I adore that content and would love some sort of return to an Animal Crossing series someday. It could even cause some to jump back into New Horizons and give it another shot like we did.
I still sometimes watch your New Leaf LP when i'm having a bad day and looking to be cheered up. It's one of my favorite LPs of yours, along with Kid Icauras Uprising
Its so amazing getting to see your old town, I really missed your videos. They kept me company all throughout school and just my youth in general. Its good to finally see more things that kept you company. I hope you are doing well!
hey chugga! it's so sweet that you are able to visit and look back on your beautiful old ac game! I hope you'll be able to do the same for new leaf, maybe even get back into some older games. I always look back through that gameplay, it was the highlight of my childhood and im sure many others!
I haven't watch you in years, and i've watched you since i was a child (sorry if that makes you feel old, but guess that's part of the vid, hehe) Very cute coming back after so long to see you're just like i remember you :)
Literally finished rewatching the entire New Leaf LP yesterday. Still remember seeing those videos for the first time and falling head over heels in love with the game, and when I got a 3ds for Christmas that same year I ran out to get it myself. Your New Leaf videos are some of my favorites in terms of just pure feel good content. Seeing you run around in this game gave me a sort of second hand nostalgia for old Animal Crossing again, so thanks for that
Fun Fact: Pigeon Milk is a real thing, from both male and female pigeons. It is a secretion from the bird's crop (a first stomach so to speak where food begins digestion before proceeding to the main stomach) which is sometimes regurgitated to their young. Penguins are another group of birds that feed Crop Milk to their offspring to help them hold out until the other parent returns with fish.
Regarding the question of another ac let's play: I'm a fellow new horizons defender, and I think a lot of the criticisms people had initially have been fixed with 2.0. The roost is back, a ton of new content was added, and I think islanders did get new dialog, and it the very least it feels a bit less repetitive. The dialog is still limited, but I do think it's better than it was. They at least feel less like dolls than before. That said, yes nh does have a major focus on decorating above all else. I think that's great for artists, and I've had a lot of fun with it, but in terms of a let's play, it wouldn't feel the same and it'd be really hard to do well. I'd say the same for older games as well, it'd be hard to do without all the online compatibility, and at this point I don't see much of a point in looking back past nl or nh. Another downside to nh is that I kinda feel like it's past its time? 2020 was a long time ago, and nh isn't exactly a hidden gem at this point. I was introduced to ac through the nl let's play, and a don't think a nh let's play will capture that same excitement. What I do think could be interesting is a let's play on happy home paradise, almost like discardibles. Yes it comes down to the same decorating as nh, but there's a lot to cover and it'd be cool to see it get more attention. Either that or we could finally get the one let's play we've all been waiting for, Amiibo Festival!
43:13 I had one of these metroids, I didn't know they were considered to be something so rare, but that's what limited internet access does compared to nowadays, loved seeing this room in particular cause I had a room exactly like it in my own game
I am very down for a GameCube Animal Crossing let's play. It still holds a ton of unique charm, and so much of the information on it out there is wrong or nonexistent. If anybody can set the record straight on minor misinformation in a Nintendo game, it's Chuggaaconroy.
i rewatched your new leaf let's play just a couple months ago and had a BLAST going back to it. it's definitely true when people say it's an incredible let's play. this video gives me the same sort of nostalgia that series does and if you ever decide to do a let's play of another animal crossing, i'll be there day one to watch
This is a great trip down memory lane! Thanks for sharing! I've never seen Wild World before, but it looks a lot like Okamiden! 9:54 That reminds me of this dubbed-over skit between Pit and Hades. Hades shows Pit the Pickle Rick meme which leads to this: Hades: "It's okay, Pitty. You have to have a pretty high IQ to understand Rick and Morty" Pitty: "I think you mean you have to be pretty high to understand Rick and Morty." No offense to anyone who likes that show; I just think it's a pretty funny comeback that could be used for a lot of things... like Sonic '06. 10:11 Aww... Look at him! He's a giant teddy bear! 11:05 You got a message from Iwata from beyond the grave! 11:36 You've got to love the Dog villagers! My favorite is Cherry. 12:24 Someone make fanart of that! 12:45 That's another great name! 13:14 Me too. Me too. 16:41 That's pretty great work! 21:01 He's one of my favorites too. I have him in New Leaf. 24:29 That's cool! I'd love to learn how myself one day, but I'm not very good with technical, uh, technology. 26:40 I think it's sweet! It's nice to see a glimpse of kid you. 31:54 This is why I like you. 33:45 They actually told you how many items you're missing!? 36:25 Yay Day is sponsored by Beedle Enterprises. 39:56 Those don't look like any Piranha Plants I've ever seen... 42:24 They work just like New Leaf's! Nice! 47:00 That sounds great to me! 48:15 Me too! I just bought my old history teacher a book as an early Christmas present! I saw it in the store and immediately thought of him!
I wouldn't have gotten into animal crossing at all if it wasn't for your let's play, and I have to thank you because it's one of my favorite games of all time. I absolutely relate to growing up autistic and feeling more of a connection with the animals than other people, it's just a shame I can't go back and enjoy my original town anymore. I do still have the cartridge but after transitioning it kinda doesn't feel great to do stuff under my deadname, and I could change the character with a save editor but that feels out of the spirit of things y'know. Rambling aside, I just want to thank you for introducing me to something that made growing up a lot easier for me (besides your videos in general) Have a good one Chuggaa, and ps I would love to see some kind of return to Animal Crossing on the channel in whatever way you see fit :]
I feel the same way about my New Horizons town, I've only touched it once since changing my name. But that once was relatively recently, and since I did use a nickname for my character it ended up not being so bad. If you focus less on the villagers you hardly even see it, but the villagers are one of the highlights for the older games.
I grew up watching your new leaf series and adored it, it’s the reason I begged my dad to get it one time we went to Best Buy and he caved because he saw how excited I was lol. Love you chugga ❤
Nothing provides me greater enjoyment than reminiscing on childhood memories. Being able to look back and cherish what I once had. It brings me such bliss. Simpler times. Where I thought it was all more important than it really was. I’m glad I was young once. I’m glad I got to see this thank you chugga.
I got this in January/February 2006 at the age of 13, when the town was all snowy in winter, and also with the strategy guide. My first and only Animal Crossing. The title theme almost brings a tear to my eye. (and yeah, not quite 20 years yet, but "20" looks better for a title than "19")
This is so cool! Seeing Guliver in this reminds me of one time in Animal Crossing City Folk I was vacuuming the living room while I had the game idle on in the background. I saw Guliver and I was like “of course when I’m busy this happens!” I swear the game knows the “best” times to make him appear.
7:50, 20:19 I miss when villagers would lore dump about each other!!! To respond to your questions about more AC videos, I would love a tour of your New Horizons Island! I agree that an LP would be tricky because you probably wouldn't have enemies like Croque or redemption arcs like Shari's. A Let's Play of Animal Crossing for Gamecube could be fun, especially if you included the recent discoveries from the fandom. TH-camrs like Cuyler, Hunter R., and BrianMp16 have made cool videos regarding the game's code and capabilities. I'm excited to see whatever game you decide to play next!
Been super sick with an ear infection this week. Replayed Leaf Green and watched your old LP to live back the glory days of being a kid in school, coming home to watch your vids. Thanks for sticking around so long! Childhood memories are important !
Your New Leaf let's play is what made me into an Animal Crossing fan, so it warms my heart every time you talk about this series. Thanks for giving me so many similar memories to cherish
While I truly understand your restraint over New Horizons -- in my opinion, the game has a lot of value that's still worth showing off, even if the focus would need to be changed from your New Leaf series. I think there is a lot of character building that can be done with decorating the outside of the houses, for example (inside later on in Happy Home Paradise!) or something that's often not considered: the experience of starting out on your island is now vastly different from early 2020, especially with features from 2.0 (food items, or vegetables) or Happy Home Paradise fused into early gameplay. I'd rather see a different kind of series with the same homey Animal Crossing feel and a lot of new trivia than a re-do of the old New Leaf series, even if it's in some way a "lesser" game; a different game. Might even make you revalue the game, but also okay if it doesn't in the end.
This video makes me so happy and nostalgic man...I still remember when I saw your City Folk video, that along with New Leaf lp being one of my favorite LP reveals at the time. Animal Crossing in general is the best comfort game
Your animal crossing new leaf let's play got me into animal crossing. It's one of my favorite franchises now. I can't express how much that means to me, Emile. It's been so nice to see you do some content on animal crossing again. I'd love to see a let's play on GameCube Animal Crossing and maybe move forward in the series LPing each game every several years... But with the sheer amount of content in the games and how much research and work that would require on your end, I completely understand why we may never see a Animal Crossing LP again. I'm very glad we got the New Leaf LP when we did though. It was life changing.
Chugga i grew up watching your content ive been thinking about revisting some of your projects and i just wanted to say if you do another animal crossing series, i would watch every upload on the day. I really hope to see something soon!
Your animal crossing LP is what got me into animal crossing. It brings me so much comfort, and i didnt realize how soothing and comfortable this video would feel to me. Whether you play an old Animal crossing or a new horizions, ill be gladly watching along. ❤
One of my favorite memories I have with this game was in middle school when it ran an ice cream social. One of my friends brought their DS with the game so I called my parents to bring my DS so I could play with my friend in their town. We spent the whole time running between each others towns and even had other kids join us. it was so much fun.
it would be great to see an animal crossing gamecube lets play! there are casual animal crossing lets plays everywhere now and very in depth animal crossing videos like hunter r and brianmp16's stuff but not much middle ground, a mix of those two styles would probably suit you though, that's one of the things i liked most about your new leaf series. i'd still love a yokai watch lets play most though heh 1 or 3 in particular...
I think its safe to now say Emile's back. I'm so glad to see you uploading a bit more frequently now my man, Animal Crossing always makes me feel a bit emotional and... Yeah, man, it's just so good to hear you and see you back man :') Edit - oh yeah little funny story, WW was my first AC and I got it because I asked my mum to get Harvest Moon and she got the games mixed up! But Im glad she did (I did get Harvest Moon eventually too lol) Edit edit - man, I hope the post office and most of it's features come back for the next AC. Like getting the feathers and the models for saving all your bells at the atm
I have fallen asleep to your New Leaf playthrough so many times. And when I'm upset, I still go back and watch it because it makes me smile and laugh. I play New Leaf every day over New Horizons. I would absolutely be willing to watch a new Animal Crossing let's play, no matter what game it is!
The king returns with an old classic. I remember the new leaf let’s play and I really liked that one. Cool to see you cover some more animal crossing in some form
I was actually in the middle of rewatching your New Leaf LP when this was uploaded! It definitely still stands as one of your most impressive series in my opinion. In fact, rewatching it gave me the motivation to replay New Leaf myself! Thanks for all the years you’ve put into your work, Chugga!
I bought a copy of Wild World earlier this year when I went to my local GameStop to buy a copy of Yo-Kai Watch. The person who played it was named Hannah and had named it Cat town, a bunch of villagers, one of them being Puddles which made me happy since she's on my New Horizons island, and she was even paying off some debts and even had three different players. From what little I played of it, they clearly put a lot of effort into their save file, so i kept it intact to this day. Later in the year, I was in a similar situation when I got a copy of White 2. It was my dream to play that game for years since I grew up playing White, but only had Black 2. But Faith, the player name of the person who had it last, had played all the way to RIGHT BEFORE THE POKEMON LEAGUE. They were literally about to be finished with the main story before they stopped playing in 2016, and it stayed that way until I bought the cartridge. They even had some O-Powers from the Entralink. I couldn't bring myself to delete all that person's hard work, so I kept it. I'll just play through Black and Unova Link it.
I didn't even realise New Horizons was hated. I've put over 1000 hours into that game and loved it. The community aspect of the game was brilliant especially with Nookazon. The island tours, turnip price visits and item swaps made logging on every day worth it and while the DLC was slow to roll out, what we did get was generally pretty good in quality. Hell, the only reason I stopped playing was because I finally got my island to look exactly how I wanted.
I sometimes wonder about my own wild world town from time to time. I played on it between january 2010 and sometime in 2013 and I had no idea how the series worked. I tried to request k.k. play abba songs. I used to harass octavian with every single octopus I ever caught. I'd always get the mouldy shirt from gracie and then probably ruined any friendship I had with all of the villagers by sending it to them. I also didn't know you could upgrade your house more than once. I absolutely had the rafflesia plant but I had no clue it meant you had the worst town rating because I had this encyclopaedia and it mentioned the rafflesia and I thought the plant was so cool and I was actually really excited to see it in the game lmao!
Ya know, I remember making a comment on Chugga's Christmas video where he was playing City Folk and I was hoping to see more casual, fun videos like that again. This is what I missed from the old TH-cam days.
An unexpected surprise, but welcome nonetheless. Welcome, and WILD. And of course Chugga had five four-leaf clovers right after spotting Gulliver in his UFO. The luck of this man, well, it SWINGS. It's surreal how much of a window into the past these old save-files can be. Depending on the game, they can almost be like secret diaries. Hell, some creepypastas and unfiction projects revolve around old save files, which I guess is a subgenre of the classic "This Game I Found" story template. I doubt that this video's going to turn into unfiction out of nowhere, but I would not be surprised if Chugga did an unfiction project someday. (speaking of unfiction and Animal Crossing, check out Valle Verde if you want to go on a JOURNEY) Never knew that Chugga actually helped make an EarthBound fangame. Man, look at this photograph... Wasn't there also a cow called Angus? Pretty sure he was in one of PeanutButterGamer's towns, because in an older video he said that he wanted to eat Angus. (Aberdeen Angus is a specific breed of Scottish beef cattle)
I've been rewatching your Xenoblade Chronicles 1 LP, and it's been a comfort in a turbulent time, even as it was then. I'd settle down for dinner with a video pulled up and not feel so alone. These days, I need something to listen to when I fall asleep, so that's what I've been doing... although as I'm about to fall asleep I have to get up and stop the video so it doesn't play when I can't enjoy it
This really takes me back! Gamecube was the only past Animal Crossing I went back to after its release, but I put a ton of time into Wild World before City Folk was out. It was the second online game I ever played, right behind Mario Kart DS.
Okay, I’m now officially convinced that I somehow have influence over your uploads, and there is NOTHING you can say or do to convince me otherwise. The day after I finished marathoning your entire let’s play history (I started during the Kirby loss hiatus), you started uploading those old bonus videos. Midway through a rewatch of your Xenoblade Chronicles 1 lp, you started uploading the Future Connected lp. Just yesterday, after taking a little break from watching your stuff, I started rewatching your Chrono Trigger lp . What. The. Heck.
@@megastarwarsrocks99 he said that chuggaa uploads after he finished watching his old videos so I joked that maybe chuggaa can sense when he,s done watching his old videos.
Revisiting old save files is always an interesting way to remind yourself of your younger self and how much you have enjoyed the game. You mentioning Mario Kart DS reminded me the silly little nickname i called myself, CPU0, since the CPUs had the numbers at the end and enjoyed calling myself the best CPU.
Ive been following the channel for ages and the playthough you were on at the time was Okami I believe, Back on old YT when you could send messages I sent one about Luigis mansion on my old account and was so hyped to see the next play through was exactly that! Im so glad to see youre still active and Im still watching to support probably 10 years later. Long story short, You made my childhood so much fun having someone to play certain games alongside in a sense. Much love
Dude, i watched your old AC videos as a kid and oh my god this takes me back!! I remember watching you play new leaf and playing wild world along wishing i had the new game. Insane that i and this game are turing 20 next year. God damn.
Another let's play of Animal Crossing New Leaf after all these years would be great. Glad to see the TH-camr I grew up with still posting. Thank you for all your let's videos. P.S. Chugga if you see this your Super Paper Mario Let's play is my favorite and I've rewatched all of it a few times. I don't comment online a lot so I probably haven't said it before but I appreciate you and your channel a lot. Thank you for what you've done :).
Thank you for doing this Chuggaa. Your Animal Crossing New Leaf series is by far my most favorite Let's Play you've done, so it's really nice that you gave us more Animal Crossing content! I look forward to whatever else you plan to work on!
I’m so happy to see another Chugga video. And Chugga’s luck is still crazy as ever not even five minutes into the video and he gets the UFO.
It was all the four leaf clovers in his inventory lol
I wouldn't say it's lucky seeing as it happened at a rather inconvenient time
I never noticed before that the coffee actually sloshes around when Brewster pushes the cup to you. That's _really_ impressive for a DS game.
Same tbh
I'd love to see that Shiny Golbat I caught so many years ago in Gen 3(can't remember if it's from Ruby or Emerald).
@@ThisIsCSDX My first Shiny was a Venonat in the OG Gen 2. Needless to say my shiny boi is long gone :(
I wished I had my original Animal Crossing town! I haven't found that memory card in so long. If I ever do, I'll definitely give a video on it.
@chugga i want to get the original animal crossing but it's $80. I still have my memory card from my childhood.
I got rid of City Folk and New Leaf when I got New Horizons.
If I ever did fire up New Leaf again, I expect it to look like creepypasta material. 😆
This is the PERFECT comfort video for rainy sick days- thank you Emile!
Hope you feel better soon!

I loves the New Leaf LP. The fact it's 10 years old is insane.
I remember getting Shari as staring villager in New Horizons and laughing my ass off when I saw her.
I still have the picture on my Switch
Who can never forget Shari, who may be a possible serial murderer who got rid of Amelia.... 😅👀
I’ve been watching you for longer than I can remember and it’s always so comforting knowing little ever changes here at least and that there’s always something to come back to, thanks for that
Emile, probably:
“Mom, do you know where the phoniz?”
As someone who has genuinely over the last few weeks been rewatching your New Leaf play through, you did something really special there. Not sure what you could do to follow it up but your style of content and Animal Crossing just fit SO WELL TOGETHER! 💫✨
I'd be happy if he just created a new town with new villagers 🤣 I miss it so much
There’s something a little bittersweet about revisiting old Animal Crossing saves after years of leaving it behind.
One of the thing I really appreciate about these videos is knowing when it's 5pm cause there's a Chugga upload.
Makes me feel I should go back to my old village in New Leaf. I stopped playing cause well, you eventually just hit a point where there's no goals left to accomplish.
Hoping teenage you didn't write something racist is a hilarious mood
Given this was back in, what, 2008 or something? It probably is a really funny racist joke, back then people LOVED racist jokes done for the sake of funny, unlike nowadays.
It seems wild to imagine it, but there's a reason people loved the days back then, and being able to say anything without having accusations shoved down your throat because back then people assumed you were being funny when you made a dark joke? Sounds like heaven.
*Cough* recent allegations *cough*@@thefiresworddragon927
@thefiresworddragon927 To be fair, racism isn't dark humor. It never was. Even if it were, it's a cheap method of trying to get laughs, like how a pro wrestler goes, "Your favorite sports team SUCKS!" in the hometown of said favorite sports team to get cheap heat.
He probably wouldn’t be uploading this then if that were the case
I mean.... it's funny unless you're any minority? Made it very difficult to be online anywhere.
Holy shit, chugga is back on animal crossing, his series on the 3ds is one of my favourites, thanks so much emile
It even inspired me to get the game at the time, which remains my favorite Animal Crossing game in the series and introduced me to one of my favorite characters now too, Ken
It's already been stated how New Horizons does strip back the villagers, and that is the primary reason why i myself have fallen off of it, so i get the concern about how you won't be able to give the villagers you come across established personalities like you could in New Leaf. That said, i think it'd be a good idea to do something with New Horizons anyway! There's the potential for allowing more fan input than before given the sheer scope of what could be done to craft an island together (though, maybe even too big of a scope admittedly). And like you said, sometimes the villagers do have good dialogue, and i think as of the last updates of the game they've become more lively compared to the game's infancy, so there's still the opportunity to give these guys some established personalities
Now, i don't think a playthrough of New Horizons would live up to what you did with New Leaf, if just because New Leaf, well, was a better game that had a lot of content to work with, and the bias i feel because of how close i hold that series to my heart, but i think you could still make something really special with New Horizons. Honestly, i just miss you playing Animal Crossing as well and would love to see a return to it in some way
With new leaf online down, it basically has the same amount of stuff to do as new horizons...
As someone who has also put thousands of hours into this game and in new leaf as well.
this video helped me remember why i love this series (and why new leaf is still the best game in said series)
glad you are doing better Emile and i wish you a continued bright future. thank you for showing us this and i cannot wait to know what LP 50 is.
Chuggaa in Animal Crossing is peak comfort video content, I'm always more relaxed with his voice in my ears
Also, Emile: you could've sold all your fruit to get the last of the cash you needed for Boondox

i love these kinds of videos, its so comfy and nostalgic
"Take advantage while they're happy so you can extort them for things"
Thanks for the life lesson!
Thanks!

It would be cool if there was a full Wild World let’s play. I’m not begging for it, but it would be nice. Chugga’s New Leaf let’s play got me into the series.
Honestly, I would watch something like that. With how many people played this game as a kid it would probably hit a lot of nostalgia.
3:14 my dog when a leaf touches my front door
It could even cause some to jump back into New Horizons and give it another shot like we did.
good to see ya back ! ^.^ this is just such good vibes warms up my whole heart
PhoniX, PhoniY , PhoniZ . Little you is laughing so loud rn
The Iwata letter made me shed a little gangster tear not gonna lie...
hey chugga! it's so sweet that you are able to visit and look back on your beautiful old ac game! I hope you'll be able to do the same for new leaf, maybe even get back into some older games. I always look back through that gameplay, it was the highlight of my childhood and im sure many others!
I haven't watch you in years, and i've watched you since i was a child (sorry if that makes you feel old, but guess that's part of the vid, hehe)
Very cute coming back after so long to see you're just like i remember you :)
Seeing you run around in this game gave me a sort of second hand nostalgia for old Animal Crossing again, so thanks for that
I’ve been sick to my stomach all day and this is helping immensely. As always, thanks for the upload!
Regarding the question of another ac let's play:
I'm a fellow new horizons defender, and I think a lot of the criticisms people had initially have been fixed with 2.0.

I am very down for a GameCube Animal Crossing let's play. It still holds a ton of unique charm, and so much of the information on it out there is wrong or nonexistent. If anybody can set the record straight on minor misinformation in a Nintendo game, it's Chuggaaconroy.

This is a great trip down memory lane! Thanks for sharing! I've never seen Wild World before, but it looks a lot like Okamiden!
9:54 That reminds me of this dubbed-over skit between Pit and Hades. Hades shows Pit the Pickle Rick meme which leads to this:
Hades: "It's okay, Pitty. You have to have a pretty high IQ to understand Rick and Morty" Pitty: "I think you mean you have to be pretty high to understand Rick and Morty."

Rambling aside, I just want to thank you for introducing me to something that made growing up a lot easier for me (besides your videos in general)
Have a good one Chuggaa, and ps I would love to see some kind of return to Animal Crossing on the channel in whatever way you see fit :]
OH MY GOD CHUGGA ANS ANIMAL CROSSING. MY CHILDHOOD!!! I MISSED YOU
7:50, 20:19 I miss when villagers would lore dump about each other!!!
I agree with it. I'm tired of hearing people say it's a bad game, like I'm not able to enjoy it.
This video makes me so happy and nostalgic man...I still remember when I saw your City Folk video, that along with New Leaf lp being one of my favorite LP reveals at the time. Animal Crossing in general is the best comfort game
I hope Emile realizes that Benedict is a pun on Eggs Benedict. He’s a chicken who lays eggs
11:01 Rest in Peace Iwata
30:29 “I love the museum in that game. It’s a work of art”. Cmon chugga, how did you miss that amazing pun opportunity
Wasn't expecting this!!
This channel, this series, THAT MUSIC, I know we've no history together with Wild World, but even still, that title screen theme is like coming home.
it would be great to see an animal crossing gamecube lets play! there are casual animal crossing lets plays everywhere now and very in depth animal crossing videos like hunter r and brianmp16's stuff but not much middle ground, a mix of those two styles would probably suit you though, that's one of the things i liked most about your new leaf series. i'd still love a yokai watch lets play most though heh 1 or 3 in particular...
I think its safe to now say Emile's back. I'm so glad to see you uploading a bit more frequently now my man, Animal Crossing always makes me feel a bit emotional and... Yeah, man, it's just so good to hear you and see you back man :')
Edit - oh yeah little funny story, WW was my first AC and I got it because I asked my mum to get Harvest Moon and she got the games mixed up! But Im glad she did (I did get Harvest Moon eventually too lol)
Edit edit - man, I hope the post office and most of it's features come back for the next AC.
Is what he say new horizons got both the best and the worst time to release in a global pandemic
Im only at the 2 minute mark. But It feels like Emile is rediscovering his love for games and bringing us along with him. It feels nice :)
Ya know, I remember making a comment on Chugga's Christmas video where he was playing City Folk and I was hoping to see more casual, fun videos like that again. This is what I missed from the old TH-cam days.
Goddamn. The nostalgia I feel through the way you talk about this save. This is super cool.
This is awesome, I love it when you upload one-off videos like this
An unexpected surprise, but welcome nonetheless.
(speaking of unfiction and Animal Crossing, check out Valle Verde if you want to go on a JOURNEY)
Never knew that Chugga actually helped make an EarthBound fangame. Man, look at this photograph...
Wasn't there also a cow called Angus? Pretty sure he was in one of PeanutButterGamer's towns, because in an older video he said that he wanted to eat Angus. (Aberdeen Angus is a specific breed of Scottish beef cattle)
Thank you so much for this. I love your play throughs but the animal crossing one is the best. Would love to see a re-visit to palette.
3:13 I don’t understand this but it’s been so long since I’ve seen Emile pop off at something I’m just glad to hear it!
What. The. Heck.
Maybe you guys have a psychic bond
What?
@@megastarwarsrocks99 I’m joking
@@millerkarageanes1562 what you’ve said is not coherent
@@megastarwarsrocks99 he said that chuggaa uploads after he finished watching his old videos so I joked that maybe chuggaa can sense when he,s done watching his old videos.
Glad to see you're back chief :]
Much love
Haven’t watched a chugga video in years. Saw this and immediately clicked. Nostalgia.
You've missed some good let's plays
"your friendo nintendo, that should be their slogan!"
*laughs in DMCA, C&D, and the entire "Localization Rant" you've provided us with*
Dude, i watched your old AC videos as a kid and oh my god this takes me back!!
