I was a solo engie trying a new build on an elimination mission. The terrain was scuffed. The hive guard was always facing right at me. There was goop everywhere. It was all I could do to stay alive. Then the cavalry arrived and we Rock N Stoned our asses outta there.
pretty much every sequence in the game is synced up like that, sings start when MC goes "there's a swarm coming get ready" and then ~7 seconds later the enemies spawn in, MC says "they're here" and the music picks up
i really liked when it played during the hacking sequence, it made me think hack-c is making those noises. the loudness would explain it attracting the bugs.
I always imagine in my head a group of helldivers pinned down by bots and a bunch of raggedy dwarves come out, best part is they care about money, nothing else 💀

You'll know the cut of a dwarfs beard is when the chips are down they play like they never have before. I remember I was a scout during the rockpox, got a swarm and we were low nitra. Everyone went down save me cause we were talking in an infected area. Took all my boomerangs and a lot of clever graples and the jump shooty mod but danced around long enough to to get enough nitra to get a call down, zipped to the gunner who still had a charge of shield and we fought it back, getting the rest of the team up as well. We walked out of that mission too. I will always associate this tune with heroics.

@@jooot_6850 Fair and yeah they are, the helldivers are more to one-use soldiers since there's no revive in helldivers, and dwarves bodies are all so strong that explosion that carves a huge area underground(bulk detonator death explosion) wont obliterate their body, meanwhile helldivers body are just... human body, which dies easily from almost anything. For that reason, the dwarves are far more suited to be more equipped than helldivers, cost efficiency wise
I'm imagining a Bile titan towering over them, and the dwarves give a voice line like "WHAT IN KARL'S ASSCHEEKS IS THAT THING?!" Followed by Engine nuking it, Scout electrocuting it with zap crossbow bolts, Driller pouring flame across its shell, and gunner filling its underside with bullet holes or explosive shells. I can imagine a Glyphs Hiveguard getting FUCKING BEAMED by a helldiver pod or a bulk detonator lit the fuck up by airstrikes, or god forbid, the space commies flying around on stolen rival corporation levitation tech...
I like to imagine this song as the Dwarves frantically running to group up in the first half. Then they lock and load and start kicking ass in the second half.
my favorite memory of drg, was diving below with a few veteran miners (see, I'm a green beard) and the eldest miner, a driller revived me while the intro to this was playing. somehow he timed it perfectly so the beat dropped exactly as I got up.
Just imagine. Helldivers is on the way to last planet in the terminide sector, terminides kill all of helldivers on their territory, gets all planets back, and then we get a video message from all terminides planet where dwarves going to help us take back all planets. That will be awesome

I really like the sound of the clock at the beginning and at the end of the music track! Signaling that there are a few seconds left before the attack at the beginning, and a few seconds before the end of the battle.
You ar a dwarf, fighting against same size or huge bugs and feel sometimes so small, but the ticking in this track... The ticking, that echies through the caves, makes you feel like a atom fighting against stars. I really love it.
This was playing on my first haz 5 which I did today. It was an escort duty with elite threat modifier. We all went down 3 times and a different person iron willed and clutched it each time. I was the last one up with dorettea final healthbar at half with no health and managed to grapple behind the supply crate and restrock (thank god for resupplier) which gave me two phero nades that I chucked which gave me enough time to rez the gunner and get to doretta and save it from like 10% left. Got it up to half as the gunner rezzed the team, and we did it. We tried to take doretta back with us but we were basically out of ammo and I died, then someone else died, then a 3rd person went down, and then the last person made it back with a sliver of health and virtually no ammo. I don't think the mission could have possibly been closer. Every member saved the run singlehandedly at least twice and this shit took almost an hour (we scouted the path on foot with the driller before starting doretta). Was the last mission for my first promotion assignment. Pretty sure this experience made me a fan for life similar to beating my 4 horns back in early monster hunter. Rock and Stone.
One thing I like is that at the beginning, the clicking with the vocals isn't on beat but gradually speeds up to match the beat, shortly before it all goes banger.

This song activates my fight or flight instincts in a way not many others does, it makes it very clear that you're screwed, but it never feels hopeless instead it makes you resupply and stand your ground defending a point, or covering your fellow dwarfs on their way to the extraction point
my entire team is down, dorretta already is at 50% on her hull, i have only one clip in my guns. the entire planet of hoxxes is chasing me and the omoran stone is on the last bits of its health. with a rock and stone i jump in, repair dorretta as much as i can and die to use my iron will to revive someone and get a resupply.

Last night I picked up the game again and I was having a chill time, then the music picks up like crazy and I'm like "what is this banger, wow?", then I hear like 100 sounds of digging around me and I just choose a decent spot for me to be revived xD
As expected, it did not disappoint me at all when I was playing this track while fighting bug breaches and clearing heavy nests in Helldivers 2

This game is full of quirky fun tunes but on my first mission, my first swarm actually, i heard the build up, and i realised, had the game been made by different developers with different intent, it couldve been really fucking scary

I don’t know if it’s a fixed thing, but I get this track the second I start up Hack-C in an industrial sabotage mission. The fact that I get to hear it twice in one run is the main reason I can still do industrial sabotage runs.
