This is...gunner Magnus. Its been, I believe six days since me and my squad entered the icy abyss. Mission control said we were here doing a run on taking out some glyphid dreadnoughts. But...our damned scout decided to play hero and ran to bust all the eggs at once. The rest of my team, theyre dead. Cant even find them. I think the bombers turned them to gibs... Nitra and bullets have all run dry. Had to grab our greenbeard engi's platform gun and barricade myself in a bunker...stole a satchel charge to carve it out. Im gonna miss mitchel. Damn good drinker and could hold his beer on missions. Couldnt be shaken by anything but the blackout stout. Last I saw him a leech had brought him up to the cieling, and, something tore him in half. I dont know what. Im putting down a distress becaon and praying that someone gets down here looking for me. If I dont make it, take care of my autocannon. Did some custom engineering on it, and modified the shells to be more about digging through the ice. Should help with lowering your reload time. Shame I had to pack in less gunpowder...
I always knew that scout was too ambitious… sending in reinforcements. Packing extra ammo, and we’re sending in the big guns. Hold tight, their on the way down. Rock and Stone miner.
i was playing on salt pits not long ago, and this song was playing. it was so beautiful, looking deep into the dark caverns of Hoxxes IV is so serine, only being able to see formations farther into the distance makes it so you can only really see a silhouette of the cavern, and it is so calming. i just sat there for a bit. in awe of the beauty.
This one hits different than the others. It's hard to me to even put into words what mood it settles me in. I'll give it a try tho. You're going to the Glacial Strata for the first time with the crew, for Salvage Operation. You think nothing of it, until Scout shoots first flare. Rows and rows of icicles shine in its small gloom for a blink, hanging high over your heads like teeth. The enormous chamber opens in front of your, bowing over you, as it swallows the lone light, leaving only abandoned drop pod's distant red lights blinking sadly at you. Awaiting for the crew to board and take them home. Until the clean air thickers with snowflakes, as breeze scrambles to bring the storm on you. Corporation doesn't even worry about looking for remains of the crew that was originally assigned to roam this site, already absorbed by layers and layers of ice and snow. It dawns on you that if you fail, you will share their fate. This isn't like peaceful and just glyphid infested Azure Weald. The uneasy tides of sand and sandstorms in Sandblasted Corridors, or even firebreathing Magma Core. Here, the entire cave is keen to trap you here, either pierced by meters long icicles, sunk in deep snow, lost alone in icestorm or devoured by one of countless mouths creeping under your legs, if you ever let your guard down, encased beyond time and space. And radio is your only link to home, thousands of miles below the crust, lower than anywhere else. You snap out, as your crew calls for you to help them. You push the worries to back of your head, as you move on to the mission, but they still linger in you. And feel like the fallen dwarves were silently spectating you, cheering you to finish theirs and yours job and get back home. To the Fallen.
And then a dreadnaught spawns out of nowhere, scout is somewhere being taken away by a mactera grabber, and while you're fighting the dread alone, you can hear dwarves shouting in the distance somewhere: "Mushroom! Need a hand here! We're rich! Please rescue me! Mushroom! Come back you bastards! We're rich! Watch the moving turd! Need a hand here!"
When i listen this song outside of playing drg makes me always cry for some reason its probably my favourite song from this soundtrack 🥹
2:19 Absolute banger
Doc: You have 5 minutes of life left
Me: *turns this banger on*
When you "Go to Car" in Hotline Miami after finishing a level.
Do you like Rocking other Stones?
Love the vibes in this one.
Listening to this while you're rocked and STONED hits differently
The only things that keep the dwarves sane in the caves is the beer and the M U S I C
Undoubtedly the theme of the Glacial Strata
Arent this theme is unique for Glacial Strata anyway?
@@ОлександрЛєпєхаIt was planned to be unique to Glacial Strata but they eventually scrapped the idea of area exclusive music
Sounds more like Radioactive exclusion zone ngl

Damn that’s deep… Very good writing, Miner. To the Fallen.
I always knew that scout was too ambitious… sending in reinforcements. Packing extra ammo, and we’re sending in the big guns. Hold tight, their on the way down. Rock and Stone miner.
May Karl guide you
Rest in peace, Whalepiper. We'll get your gear home.
WALE UP YOU MADE IT WE FOUND ONE OF THE OTHERS TOO. But he's still asleep so stay quiet
Probably my favorite exploration theme in the whole game along with Fathomless Tomb. Such an amazing track.
This is one of my favourite songs mainly because it gives me big Ecco: The Dolphin nostalgia 🐬
you're so right
The most active ambient song, but somehow is just as if not more somber noted than the others. Fantastic piece right here!

“WE GOT A HUGE BLIP HEADING YOUR WAY, LOCK UP AND LOAD MINERS”
This same vibe can be felt in the Azure Weald, as well.
I love this game so much...
ROCK AND STONE YOU BEAUTIFUL DWARF !
ROCK AND STONE, BROTHER!!
If you ROCK AND STONE you're never alone
For those about to Rock and Stone, we salute you!!⛏
There is just something about this track that makes it so perfect and serene ❤
Exacly,This game has more soul than most aaa games 🥹
The deep base in this track is just so epic
Yep. I had this playing in the background on the pause menu while I worked and I kept humming with that sound
ROCK AND STONE!
ROCK AND STONE!!!
ROCK AND STONE BROTHERS
FOR KARL!
ROCK **BUUURP**
ROCK AND STONE EVERYONE!
This whole game gives big Subnautica vibes
It’s all fun and games until mission control asks
“Are you certain whatever you’re doing is worth it?”
Warning, entering ecological dead zone
"detecting multiple dreadnought class lifeforms in the region..."
I was thinking the same thing!
I found some morkite!
Mushroom!

Something is coming!!!
It's cold down here.
The start sounds a bit like something Jake Chudnow would make
To the fallen🍻
Calm familiarity, of light, through a shaded window, on another planet, in the 80s.
Glacial strata...
Y'know, for a game about a group of derranged drunken midgets mining on space, the soundtrack is just beautiful.
y'all ever walked out in the cold with this on?
it's awesome, i did it last winter
No, but now i will. Thanks bunches for the idea
@@RallyOX no prob :D
I hope there's extension of one hour of this.
Is it bad that I actually sleep to this song?
no
not a chance. i don’t blame you.
absolutely not. this music is very peaceful, sleeping to it makes sense
u're not the only one
No
Music for when you’re in fungus bogs looking for morkite

nice
Ah yes my favorite sound: crystals
Hmmm. Ghost Ship Games x Electronic Gems music collab?
