Lester Young playing "Prisoner of Love" would come into that category; but then so would many more. At present, two tunes that I like to play, as well as "Prisoner," are "You Are Too Beautiful" and "Polka Dots & Moonbeams." My favourite songs are ballads. Billie and Lester on "I Can't Get Started" from 1938 is right up there.

I bought a Flugelhorn and am trying to learn it. It has such a rich baritone creamy sound. It doesn't hurt my ears like a trumpet does. I don't know WHY folks think they sound good squeeking out ultra high notes on a horn! It hurts my ears and there's nothing mellow about it! I just LOVE Misty. Just abkut any way its played. Erroll Garner, who wrote it, or Ray Stevens, who cranked it up as a Country song and a bunch of others...it gives me goose-bumps when it's played right! THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO !!!.
