Hey man, very sincerely, your version is breathtaking. I listened it 100 of times, each time, same emotion. I don't know if it's your sound, your way to "sing" this song. Both. I adore. Really.
Listening to you is really helping me with playing different scales to chords. Something I always wanted to do but, never mastered it. So, thx for sharing these beautiful shorts Gary!!..😎👍

That is great....so smooth sounds a WHOLE lot better than a certain infamous soprano saxophone player messing up the original with Louis Armstrong, and this is coming from a saxophone player!
@@garyalesbrookmusic Quick question Gary... My Eclipse trumpet is the older tunable bell style. Have you played both new and old style? If so, is there a big difference? I thought about buying the newer reversed leadpipe Eclipse trumpet since the tunable bell is just kinda annoying to clean. But if they don't play that different I think I might just go for a flugel instead and keep my trumpet since it plays great with the tunable bell.
@@jamesroberts3642 I hate to cop out on this question but it really is a case of you need to try them 🤷♂️ I went from the tuning slide at the back to a Celeste and then to the Enigma which I currently play on. I didn’t get on with the Celeste very well but the Enigma is sweet! I recently tried the MAW valves and they blew my mind. My advice is get your ass to Leigh and talk through the options. In a nutshell though, their trumpets have moved on a lot since the “tuning slide at the back” days 🤪
@@garyalesbrookmusic Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm gonna send Mr. Mckinney an email after this new year. My Eclipse is still having constant sticking valve issues and he told me in the past if it keeps up, he would build me a new horn in exchange. I'll see what he can do for the Enigma model and a flugel. Thank for the info!!!
Lovely!!
@@jerryzabin thanks 🙏
