I just fixed issue on steering throw angle issue. The outer shaft cup is being restricted by the inner shaft. Cut off 1mm of the cup and re-grind the bowl. The unaltered knuckle gets 40 degrees of travel. The shorter cut knuckle gets 77 degrees of travel. Figured I could help since I solved it.
ive found the stock tires from my trx4m defender work really well on the scx24. they actually outperformed a set of injora tires i had on them. granted it does feel like cheating because theyre "18 scale" but they still look good
Great mods and video. This rig just seems like one of those things that at first look like a good deal but after you mod and fix things you would wish you just spent the extra 50$ on a scx or fcx 24
For sure, it’s not a replacement for either of those vehicles by any means but if you like to collect multiple brands of these 1/24 scale crawlers than this is a decent one to add to the collection 👍🏻
Kinda a pointless comment, who ever keeps a scx24 stock anyways? And it’s a banger truck for people who know the hobby and know how to quick fix things
Every single rc vehicle & company has problems, that is a fact. But it is the hobbyist that makes those problems disappear with knowledge and experience how to fix those problems. Some people make there own parts, while others wish they could purchase them. A good experienced hobbyist can do all of the above in all honesty.
@@SteadfastRC I immediately replaced almost every component on my SCX24 and spent easily +250 on top of the original 150. so almost $400 right out the box because again, who keeps their scx24 stock? When I got this racent, I immediately spent about 150 to get it going and it's honestly been great. My scx24 is more of a shelf queen now. so no, not all people who know the hobby know it's a bad buy - your blanket statement is wrong.
Ok add it up. $40 into wheels and tires. Another $20ish for drive shaft. Probably came from 2 diffrent trucks. Theres $120. Almost a deadbolts cost. If your a scale guy its still a $80 body.
It's easier for alot of people to buy the cheap one and upgrade it as u get money coming in. Alot of people like myself can't afford a $150 rc at ounce,so we buy the cheap one and upgrade it at your own budget,I'm not calling u out or trolling. I'm just telling u that's why I buy the cheap because I can't afford the more expensive ones and I can't save money to save my life lol
Great work, nice little truck! 👍
Thanks 👍
Had 2 come watch these upgrades 😊👍
Appreciate it bud 😄👍🏻

any chance you could upload a vid or some pictures for this fix?
Just bought one after watching your videos thank you
Holy Crap Bro! The run videos are like night and day... I can't wait to see what else you do with it...
😉👍🏻 it’s going to be nice!
Your crawler course looks very nice.
Thank you 😄
I really want to go all out on mine. Replace everything with metal make it super capable. Is the frame metal btw?
That sounds cool and yeah I’m pretty sure the frame is metal, it’s some kind of metal composite it feels like 🤙🏻
I love the detail of the body, yeah we’re here watching 10 days later just found it
Haha thanks Andy 🤙🏻
Great video on the mods needed to do on that rig. Nice info! Thanks buddy.
Any time buddy 🤘🏼😎
Great advice and good mods, many thanks
Glad you like them!
I really like the bodies on these riggs!!
Have you tried to pull the hubs on this yet?
Yes a swapped them out for a set of cvd’s, they are a bit of an upgrade but not super noticeable
@@UpperLeftRC how do you take these hubs off?
Screws in the top and bottom of the hub that attach it to the axle
Cool video. I just bought four bodies from Exhobby to replace my scx24 lexan jeep bodies. Do you know if the bodies are easy to take apart to repaint?
They are glued together so I’m not sure it would be easy to take apart
You guys should look at the FTX OUTBACK MINI 3.0 RANGER 1:24 READY-TO-RUN - GREEN

I might have to throw a set of those on, sounds like a sick set up!
Looks much much better with tge wagon wheels and new tires
Agreed 🤙🏻
Dove hai trovato le ruote nuove...bel video... ciao dall'Italia
Hello from America 👋🏻 The wheels are RC4WD wagon wheels, I got them from my local hobby shop
Love the course.

@rahlik turner except people that know the hobby know it's bad without having to buy it

Where can I find those wheels and tires? Need!!🤩
Both are from RC4WD 👍🏻 steel wagon wheels and Patagonia tires
What is a good size for these crawlers rc?
I’m not sure
I want the shell for my SCX 24!
Right!
Now to add a Holmes hobbies motor and do something about the steering angle 😁
Haha right!
Big difference 👍🏻
Huge! 👌🏻
nice course
Thanks
The “EARS” on the driveshaft don’t clear the “YOKE”
Thank you lol I know I’m constantly getting the terms wrong so I enjoy learning them from the community 😄👍🏻
Sweet
