Thank you SO much for this video. I did a few of the tips you recommended for mana issues and it is a night and day difference! Having even more fun now!
Thank you for such a thorough video explaining the thought process of your decisions and the mechanics of the build. I wish all content creators did that. I will make some of the adjustments so I can have infinite mana. I will also stop looking for the perfect Tal Rasha's and will refrain from crafting a Starless Skies (so glad I saw this video before doing that). Keep up the great work!
Very good explanations of how to keep that mana generation up there to sustain during boss fights. I've been struggling with mana on single target so I'll have to go in tonight and see where I'm lacking. Thanks.
If you struggle with mana in boss fights, drop umbral for Prodigys since umbral doesn't really work on bosses whilst prodigys will give you alot of mana especially when you have decent cdr
This guy is a legend, all my mates have said I should be using talrasha too but I keep telling them that unique outside Shako are generally worse than a a legendary.
Thanks for the video! Just as an fyi, you don't have a timestamp for fixing the mana problems :) there's just one huge bar that goes for half of the video about "how do you not run out of mana". Could probably use something around 5:41 or so for about how to fix it
I was struggling in the messy middle between beginning end game and perfected end game. Put on fiery surge and that was a huge bridge on mana - made the build feel so much better. Also did not fully appreciate the importance of staying on top of ice blades.
Do certain cc apply faster stagger than other? like stun applies faster vs slow? I have been tempering my armor with worldly fortune. Should I try to get all 4 cc types or a certain cc type(because it applies faster stagger) or whatever type I got as long as the % is high? Right now I have 2 immobilize and 2 slow. Wondering If I should get 1 type for each armor.. Tried finding answers in the net but cant find one. Thank you for the guide, it helped me a lot. I love playing FO Sorc.
Man, you are the first streamer ive seen to really break down how the stats work and with what gear/gems, etc. Thanks so much for this. Curious though as Sorc is my main character i play, do you have a build that is frost specific without using any other elements? Im not crazy about using shock or fire (aside from Flameshield).
Just leaving this here for the tal-rasha section, if I understand the damage calculation correctly for s4: tal-rasha is 1.45 multiplier, this is a 45% damage increase other ring: -150 int is not 15%, since you already have 2200 int, 150 int is 150/2200 = 6.8% damage increase -100% cold dmg isnt 100% dmg, this is added to your already giant additive damage bucket, not sure how much you already have, but its not less than 1000-1500, 100 added is then 10%-6.6% damage increase, the higher your total additive the less increase it is -12% crit is not roughly 12% damage, it depends on how much crit you already have and how much crit damage you already have, but at 0% crit chance, and 0 crit damage, 12% crit is 6% damage increase, at 50% crit, 12% more crit is 4.8% increase, crit damage goes again into additive bucket, so hard to calculate exactly, depends how big your bucket is and how much additive crit dmg you have -those 3 combined, are roughly ~25% at the high end (probably a little more depending on your crit damage) and ~19% at low end -and combined with the power of 30% to vuln while barrier, that makes them 55%-61% increase...roughly so real comparison is: 45% with perfect rolled tal-rashe, no greater affixes and no masterworking and not counting tal-rasha's non-phys dmg (very small increase) vs 55%-61% fully masterworked with a greater affix ring Please correct me if I'm wrong
I heard that the 30% multiplier while you have a barrier is bugged and is only 15%. Also, if I play the one-handed + focus variant I have one more place for legendary affixes. So without having done the maths, the Tal Rasha Ring might make sense in this constellation.
@@kingRichardSteve right. He has no mana issues because he runs the unique helm. I followed the exact build to a T. There are definitely mana issues to work out.
@@kingRichardSteve mana fixes itself based on conjuration number. But you also might as well use your brain a little bit yourself, it's a guide, I'm not your drill seargent.
Since you already have 2300 int extra 150 int comes down to a little less than %5 extra damage, not 15%. But with attack speed, crit and aspect enchant it is definitely an alternative to talrasha (depends on other gear too, legendary ring is stronger on lower end gear).
Question for you mate - on the paragon boards, i've swapped one of the "glyph only" boards to static surge and picked up mana nodes as well as picking up and achieving the bonus on reservoir node within elemental summoner to get 147 mana. I swapped out tal rasha ring and began using the elementalist aspect for the 25-40% crit if spent over 100 mana. with the base cost of frozen orb being 40 (for me) it feel worthwhile using. I'm not a big fan of Esu's boots but if you were to do both, you could crit cap comfortably - not sure if you'd looked into the above and i'm just a random pleb enjoying FO but do you think it's worth the investment?
The investment for elementalist is generally never worth it since 40% translates rougly to 20-30%[x] (your uptime is not 100% believe me its maybe 50-60%) and the extra 10% compared to an aspect is never worth this huge investment.
Hey man! Thanks for the video. Im just curious about the damge affix on your staff.. i was running 275 int 120vuln 21% resource reduction, damge to frozen, twice cast frozen orb and it seems stronger than 333 int 2line damge affix vuln staff.. is damage line only for physical damge and not applicable to sorcs?
You may possibly want to fix your mid-game guide. For the rings, you show damage and ice blades cooldown temper but in game you use resource cost reduction.
Hello, appreciate the guide, and im sorry if this was already asked before but why did you change the temperings in mobalytics to close damage instead of vulnerable?
Just a quick calculation: 2H, 3 frozen orbs, 1 at 100% and 2 at 120% is 320%. 1H, 3 frozen orbs 1 at 100% and 2 at 60% is 220%. With the extra 25% aspect, it's 275% total damage, so around a 15% damage difference. You also get 10% more attack speed, so you will get a few more conjurations up too, but you'll need the extra mana regen anyway. In any case, this is assuming that single hit base damage is the same for 2H and 1H + focus, which I'm not sure about, 1H + focus single hits are I think lower than 2H single hits anyway because of the attack speed difference. In any case, if they were the same, you'd see higher hits with 1H anyway because 1.25 is more than 1.2
Sorry it's 20% extra attack speed, which should be reflected in per hit damage numbers, which is why the individual number you see are so much lower (attack speed difference + the 15% you lose from not having another aspect with the same worth as frozen orbit). In any case, higher attack speed means higher mana regen is necessary, tempering is more risky (it's easier to brick items, which is a bit of an issue with this build) and masterworking is way more difficult.
nah you cant calculate like that because these extra 60% are before all multipliers. Also you are ignoring the higher damage of the 2 hand which is another 20%
@@GoldfarmingGuide You can, because the same multipliers are applied to both, apart from the 25% extra aspect (assuming the additive rolls/tempers are the same). Scalar multiplication is commutative, doesn't matter what order you do it in. And no, I'm not ignoring the higher damage of the 2 hand, I explicitly mentioned it. The only reason you're seeing higher numbers for the 2H is because of this 20% btw, otherwise, the 1H numbers would be higher.
Basically, the dps should be 15% lower, average individual hits significantly lower (around 1/3rd, just like you guessed), the amount of conjurations a bit higher, mana requirements somewhat higher (probably quite noticably), but the other issues are imo what matter the most.
Hiya. Very good video thanks. One observation, on your endgame paragon board, it goes from board 4 and flows into board 7. Is this a site error? Should we just disregard the number but keep following the board type and glyph? Cheers!
25:55 I dont understand why is 33% damage "dead stat" this game can be so confusing... What am I missing? Is it that it is only additive 2/3 of cold damage value?

For 1h + focus / immortal you need about 50-100 hours of farming mats since you need very good cooldown reduction rolls and all uniques. The 2hand staff version is much more approachable early game
Thanks a lot for your answer. I guess I will transition to your build while hitting a wall around pit60. After watching your FrozenOrb Videos + mobalytics links. What’s the true recommending for early to mid FrozenOrb build. Esus ferocity, avalance or Vyrs because it is bugged? The video recommendations and the build-links are different in my eyes. Would love to hear your final thoughts.
they really need to add tempers to uniques or just buff the base affixes of uniques to bring them in line, unless they rework or tweak tempering as it is now.
I got the Uber staff I am gonna try that as part of my overworld farming build. Every now and then I get a greed shrine. Free gold for what I assume will be a negligible loss of damage in overworld.
When I switch to Avalanche from Esus Ferocity like shown in your starter setup, then the Aspect of ancient flame on the ring is useless right? What should I replace it with?
you do 5-10 times higher damage numbers with your frozen orb than me, but I also have all this paragon 8/12 masterwork gear only missing the +4 to all stats, I really dont know how to get such high hits
Thanks for this guide, man, guess this will be really helpful. I just checked this build on mobalytics and on "assigned skills" it says Teleport, while on the skill tree no points have been assigned to Teleport. Is this a mistake or am I missing something here?
@@GoldfarmingGuide I did, and yes, I saw that you can get these plus x stats from gear passively. I just thought it was stated somewhere on the web guide, so I was confused 😉 I would have loved to swap a few points into barrier duration, but it seems for now I can only redistribute one point away from teleport.
my frozen orb just lacks dmg. i got shako too but... i havnt ivnested into atttackspeed yet ( no lighting ultimate and only attackspeed on gloves for now)
Hey, I've been doing soem testing, and my damage is just way higher with Esu Ferocity. Isn't the +50% AS way better than one more aspect + some free cast + 40% damage? Or maybe Esy Frocity is just straight better on bosses?
That's why I use it in the early build. It's great to fix attack speed if you cannot do it with gear yet. But if you can get high attack speed rolls on gear it becomes worse than the alternatives.
Hey, I pretty much started with endgame diablo with this season and I am currently rocking your build with pretty similar gear, however the biggest crits I ever get are 1 mil and I don't get why or how I can improve my gear. I have about the same Offensive stats as you do, 5% less ATS, and only a 1350 total multiplier to enemies as your opposed ~1550 . (Sadly I couldnt find your Damage to Frozen so I took that out of the equation - I currently have 600%) My Attack Power is also a lot lower, at only 35k as opposed to your 50k - and I was wondering if there are any other things that would affect this that I am currently not thinking of that I could improve! Much love, thanks for these guides! :D
You say "dont use Tibaults Will, dont fall for the Tibaults Will trap", but all the other Forb variants I have seen (which are many during my research) use it. Why do you think that is and what is your reasoning against it?
basically, tibauls gives you a 20% damage multiplier. Regular pants gives so much more value (life, armor, flameshield if you want, extra stagger) and on top you get concussive strikes which is also a 20% multiplier in most cases. Then you add int on top so you get like ~30%is from regular pants plus all the utility. Just dont see tibauls work in any kind of these build anymore.
Too squishy when i swapped to this build from the maxroll one. I think Vyre mastery is needed for dmg reduc - or perhaps everliving to swap with something else armor wise, i really like the thought on this one though i did get some tips on swapping a few skills out in the tree because of this so thanks
Tibaults is 20% Multiplier with a Condition which is up like ~70% of the time. Regular Pans with concussive strikes are 20% Multplier up vs Bosses in Stagger which is all that counts. Additionally Legendary Pants stats are 15x Better than tibaults.
hey i got staff for 2620 max life + 120% vuln damage both procced and 168 int should i master work this or getting one with int proc is more important?
Great video but the linked skill trees are just not correct. e.g. Frost nova enchantment without Frost Nova skill selected on the skill tree... would you be so kind link your build. Thx.
In the video you said that the +damage% is a dead stat. Does + damage% only apply to physical? I have a few + damage% modifiers on my sorc. Im only level 89 and not even close to masterwork gear and my attack power is around 33k.
why u tal rasha ring max 5/5? i see at the game right now i can do tal rasha from 1 to 12 and have rly high %dmg non physical 39% at level 1. Maybe tal rasha will be better at my situation?
Attack power is not really a reliable stat. It ignores conditional modifiers and only uses unconditional ones. Also make sure to press ""evade"" with tibaults on so the crit gets factored in ;) Same with attack speed elixir Also dont look in town look at training dummy
Tibaults is 20% Multiplier with a Condition which is up like ~70% of the time. Regular Pans with concussive strikes are 20% Multplier up vs Bosses in Stagger which is all that counts. Additionally Legendary Pants stats are 15x Better than tibaults.

Just leaving this here for the tal-rasha section, if I understand the damage calculation correctly for s4:
tal-rasha is 1.45 multiplier, this is a 45% damage increase
other ring:
-150 int is not 15%, since you already have 2200 int, 150 int is 150/2200 = 6.8% damage increase
-100% cold dmg isnt 100% dmg, this is added to your already giant additive damage bucket, not sure how much you already have, but its not less than 1000-1500, 100 added is then 10%-6.6% damage increase, the higher your total additive the less increase it is
-12% crit is not roughly 12% damage, it depends on how much crit you already have and how much crit damage you already have, but at 0% crit chance, and 0 crit damage, 12% crit is 6% damage increase, at 50% crit, 12% more crit is 4.8% increase, crit damage goes again into additive bucket, so hard to calculate exactly, depends how big your bucket is and how much additive crit dmg you have
-those 3 combined, are roughly ~25% at the high end (probably a little more depending on your crit damage) and ~19% at low end
-and combined with the power of 30% to vuln while barrier, that makes them 55%-61% increase...roughly
so real comparison is:
45% with perfect rolled tal-rashe, no greater affixes and no masterworking and not counting tal-rasha's non-phys dmg (very small increase)
vs
55%-61% fully masterworked with a greater affix ring
Please correct me if I'm wrong
I heard that the 30% multiplier while you have a barrier is bugged and is only 15%. Also, if I play the one-handed + focus variant I have one more place for legendary affixes. So without having done the maths, the Tal Rasha Ring might make sense in this constellation.

Hello, appreciate the guide, and im sorry if this was already asked before but why did you change the temperings in mobalytics to close damage instead of vulnerable?
close damage is the highest roll. All additive damages are basically equal so the highest ist close damage

any damage is ok. close is slightly better but cold is good
I got the Uber staff I am gonna try that as part of my overworld farming build. Every now and then I get a greed shrine. Free gold for what I assume will be a negligible loss of damage in overworld.
super cool D4 channel - thanks 😎
❤❤❤I'm Italian and I always follow you, can I please ask you if you can make a video on the final build you used in the live where you beat Lilith?
You don't need to active Unstable Current and everything works? I haven't seen you press 1 or I
yes I press it :D
When I switch to Avalanche from Esus Ferocity like shown in your starter setup, then the Aspect of ancient flame on the ring is useless right? What should I replace it with?
damage
you do 5-10 times higher damage numbers with your frozen orb than me, but I also have all this paragon 8/12 masterwork gear only missing the +4 to all stats, I really dont know how to get such high hits
Thinking back on all the GA mana per second gear I sold because of how weak a stat I thought it was :(
Is Vyr’s still bugged, or do you still recommend Avalanche? Thx ~ great vids as always ❤
its still bugged until season 5
@@GoldfarmingGuide thank you. So, for Staff FO build, use Vyrs?
Thanks for this guide, man, guess this will be really helpful. I just checked this build on mobalytics and on "assigned skills" it says Teleport, while on the skill tree no points have been assigned to Teleport. Is this a mistake or am I missing something here?
:D And you really watched this video? Check Again It's one of those 5 Questions!
@@GoldfarmingGuide I did, and yes, I saw that you can get these plus x stats from gear passively. I just thought it was stated somewhere on the web guide, so I was confused 😉 I would have loved to swap a few points into barrier duration, but it seems for now I can only redistribute one point away from teleport.
my frozen orb just lacks dmg. i got shako too but... i havnt ivnested into atttackspeed yet ( no lighting ultimate and only attackspeed on gloves for now)
attack speed is by far the most important. Get Ancient Flames and Esus
Great video
Hey, I've been doing soem testing, and my damage is just way higher with Esu Ferocity.
Isn't the +50% AS way better than one more aspect + some free cast + 40% damage?
Or maybe Esy Frocity is just straight better on bosses?
That's why I use it in the early build. It's great to fix attack speed if you cannot do it with gear yet.
But if you can get high attack speed rolls on gear it becomes worse than the alternatives.
Is frozen winterglass effect tied to your lucky hit %?
no
good material with explanation 👍
Hey, I pretty much started with endgame diablo with this season and I am currently rocking your build with pretty similar gear, however the biggest crits I ever get are 1 mil and I don't get why or how I can improve my gear.
I have about the same Offensive stats as you do, 5% less ATS, and only a 1350 total multiplier to enemies as your opposed ~1550 .
(Sadly I couldnt find your Damage to Frozen so I took that out of the equation - I currently have 600%)
My Attack Power is also a lot lower, at only 35k as opposed to your 50k - and I was wondering if there are any other things that would affect this that I am currently not thinking of that I could improve!
Amazing video love you build so much
Great video. Thank you!
Why do y say shaco for harlequin and also what are conjurations?
Too squishy when i swapped to this build from the maxroll one. I think Vyre mastery is needed for dmg reduc - or perhaps everliving to swap with something else armor wise, i really like the thought on this one though i did get some tips on swapping a few skills out in the tree because of this so thanks
DR becomes irrelevant starting at ~T70. youll be oneshot no matter what
mind answering why you dont run tibaults will? seems most other guides show it, what do we gain from not using it?
Tibaults is 20% Multiplier with a Condition which is up like ~70% of the time.
Regular Pans with concussive strikes are 20% Multplier up vs Bosses in Stagger which is all that counts.
Additionally Legendary Pants stats are 15x Better than tibaults.
how are you getting so many conjurations? im usually at around 5 or 6
hey i got staff for 2620 max life + 120% vuln damage both procced and 168 int should i master work this or getting one with int proc is more important?
You should look for a Greater Affix Intelligence If you ask me
What about Godslayer crown, when I have not uber unique? Or would you stay with a normal legendary?
legendary
Great video but the linked skill trees are just not correct. e.g. Frost nova enchantment without Frost Nova skill selected on the skill tree... would you be so kind link your build. Thx.
watch video again ;) its all explained in the video
@@GoldfarmingGuide It definitely did help, sorry man!! :)
is it good if I use yen's blessing boots for mana regen and spawning ice blade?
No junk item.
Brilliant video, to the point and so informative ❤... BTW how much is the gold cap now? Prior to last patch it was 10B but i see you're at like 20B 😅
I think gold cap is 100B - 1 Gold :D
@@GoldfarmingGuide just read the 14 may patch (v 1.4)... Gold cap is now 99 trillion!!! 😅
Next video: how do you improve survivability/prevent getting 1-shot killed by level 130+ bosses in NMD and Pit?
Don't get hit 😂
why do you have the aspect of fortune though you dont care about lucky hit?
because i have no better aspect to use and lucky hit does matter. Just on all other items the other stats are superior
@@GoldfarmingGuide OK ty for clarifying
Why do you have 8 stash tabs?
In the video you said that the +damage% is a dead stat. Does + damage% only apply to physical? I have a few + damage% modifiers on my sorc. Im only level 89 and not even close to masterwork gear and my attack power is around 33k.
Damage % works fine. It's just a lower rolled stat than most other additive damage stats.
No its a dead stat because it not crit chance. 30% additive damage compared to ~12% crit chance is worth nothing.
why u tal rasha ring max 5/5? i see at the game right now i can do tal rasha from 1 to 12 and have rly high %dmg non physical 39% at level 1. Maybe tal rasha will be better at my situation?
its an old ring the 39% is worthless additive damage not doing much for you ;)
How you get your ATK Power so high ?
Nice video its help me alot with my mana Issues ^^
Attack power is not really a reliable stat. It ignores conditional modifiers and only uses unconditional ones.
Also make sure to press ""evade"" with tibaults on so the crit gets factored in ;)
Same with attack speed elixir
Also dont look in town look at training dummy
One question. Why you don’t use trobouts will legs? Nice defence and very good offense? Thx mate
Tibaults is 20% Multiplier with a Condition which is up like ~70% of the time.
Regular Pans with concussive strikes are 20% Multplier up vs Bosses in Stagger which is all that counts.

@@GoldfarmingGuide ok. Thx mate
Thank you very much. Im now with you firewall leveling build, lv60. What level do you think i can change to frozen orb?
Good work 😁
Level 90-100. Better go blizzard until youre there
