Me, using any of those abilities twice: "I'm out of mana!" *takes 3 hours to recharge* 😅 Seriously, thank you for this! I just couldn't figure out why the heck my mana was always empty! I was literally resorting to using a basic skill while my mana regened, so I would end up basically shooting ice shards twice followed by like 6 arch lashes 😅
Thanks for the detailed explanation! I'm struggling with mana and understanding the basic concepts of class and builds I'd crucial.. thank you for the time and video!
Don't know if it was mentioned but the Avalanche key passive can roll on legendary gear it will Allow you two free casts of ice shards, Blizzard, and frozen orb when it procs.
you can also add the fire arrow basic as an enchanement and then add the killing burning enemies gives 20% mana regen key passive to have ridiculous amounts of regen
I realized I have a high lucky hit chance from my equipment...so I maxed out the 3 point lucky hit tree, imprinted some clutch aspects - one increases mana regen by 30% when not hit for 3 seconds, and another adds 1 more banked skill to avalanche, and another gives me 17% extra lucky hit chance when I have a barrier. I also got a nice re-roll on an attribute that gives my weapon 12% resource regen. Now I'm casting free ice shards and blizzards all over the place and my regen feels crazy
I've been watching a lot guides on this and this is the best so far. Well done! The problem is everything falls apart with the mention of "once you get your sorcerer well equipped". To get the gear first you have an arguably long grind for those that can't play as much, get lucky, carried, or struggle while not having fun (this is the top problem imo) to even make this a reality. It's a cart before the horse "solution". I'm not ready to give up yet, but in a few weeks it may be a different story. To make matters worse as I continue to level I get weaker as the content gets harder. Going back to say Tier 2 because I can't even kill most bossses on tier 3 makes the grind even longer. The campaign was great! I love the game play. But the more I play the less I have fun. I don't think I'm alone either.
What level are you and what build? I also felt like my character was too weak when I hit T3 even though I could do nightmare dungeons 3 levels above me comfortably. I spammed nightmare dungeons, and I think my build came online around level 60.
Did you get all the altars of lilith ? I suggest starting with arc lash and save aspects for ice build for when you hit 60/70+ then make sure you’re setting up paragon board for the build. Ice builds are late game builds that require good aspects and good gear to really shine.
@@gbforfunbruh7090 this was pretty much what I did. Arc lash dont clear mobs as fast and doesn't have the biggest damage but it offers better survivability. Goodluck
@@MyChiliIceCream it was good until like lvl 60+ or so then I switched to ice. I’m level 85 so my build is pretty op only thing is you need to tweak the build to not be so squishy which you need gear for that
What would be even better is to run the following on your focus: “Lucky hit: you have a 5% chance to gain X primary resource” You can also get them on your gloves like Frostburn. And they stack. So 10% chance to gain X primary resource on damage. Plus with another affix like 5% chance to gain mana on burning enemies (since everything is burning with the enchantment” I literally never run out of mana and I don’t use the prodigy aspect.
I'd like to add in my 2 cents here. Ice builds shouldn't really focus on mana, they should be focused on damage. You have to kill things during the time they are FROZEN (from either Chill, or Frost Nova), which is about 3 seconds. You wont run out of mana in those 3 seconds, and If you aren't killing things during those 3 seconds then you need more DAMAGE, NOT more mana. This is because of Freeze DRs (diminishing returns). If you didn't kill something during the first freeze then you cant refreeze them until the DR is over (about 8 seconds I think). If you can't freeze something it doesn't matter how much mana you have because you won't be deal anywhere near as much damage as you should (because you don't get all the multipliers that you have vs CC/Frozen targets). So basically it's more important to kill something during the time they're frozen, than to be spamming your abilities. Obviously only exception to this is bosses - which can't be frozen. But they CAN be STAGGERED. The stagger is your window to deal insane damage, so all you're doing until stagger is building up the stagger bar, and then you dump everything into them once they're staggered.
Agreed. All of sorc damage is during CC. Have to kill everything during freeze/sun. I didn't like the standalone ice shards builds because of lack of CC uptime, but the blizzard/ice spikes build with ice shards enchant makes speed farming a breeze. I couldn't imagine leveling as anything other than arc lash though. Mana is definitely an issue during leveling.
Really great point. I think the annoying thing is there's not really a viable alternative way to play Sorc without CC. At least, there isn't one that doesn't feel cheesy imo.
@@brandonvoice8941 If it's anything like WoW, it should be half duration each time a cc is applied within 8 seconds of a prior cc. (typically type-matched, like freeze reduces the following freeze but doesn't affect immobilize).
There´s a paragon board that gives lucky hit chance... I put a few points in it just to get those nodes. The key is: do everything you can possibly do for mana reduction and regain :)
Personally I think the lucky hit with avalanche is just not worth it. Even if you had 100% lucky hit chance anyway, having a 10% chance to not use mana is only reducing your mana use by 10% on average, which is about the same as having the stat on a single piece, but you are likely giving up a bunch of skill points, paragon points, and affix slots just to get high enough lucky hit.
@@Jaradis There's also a lucky hit on cold damage mana generation passive. you get both for the same lucky hit stat. not to mention on lucky hit resource generation on gear.
My build has no room for the prodigy's aspect but I do focus on mana cost reduction and my Ice shards cost 19 mana to cast. I also have the 25% mana regen from ice armor which gived a 16/mana per tick regen. After mana cost reduction I focus on CDR and lucky hit (+116% total with barrier) It takes me around 14 casts of ice shards before I run out of mana and this is with zero proc on the avalach passive.
the problem with mage is it starts to really work very late and might still be a gamble. sometimes I can spam ice shards for a very long period, other times I´m empty after 5. A high lucky hit is what I´m currently working on and it has a huge impact.
Prodigy is literally the MVP sorc aspect. Every good sorc build has teleport, frost nova, ice armor. 3 free casts that give you 15-25+ mana each. Based on what you are saying you aren't casting Ice Shards above 100 mana, so you are missing the +20-40% crit from elementalist's aspect & 10-20% damage from Edgemaster's aspect (I dont use this one), and 9% damage from elemental dominance (rank 3 core skills) Honestly don't think sorc can do a tier 20-30 nightmare dungeon without prodigy / elementalist.
@@Insnebob that´s the 2nd half of the truth. next to sustainability it´s vital to get those damage bonuses as many as you can. the quicker they´re dead, the less mana you need :)
I think a thing to note, is based off the tool tip, Resource Generation affects the mana restored from fixed effects as well as your passive regen. So I'm pretty sure it buffs resource on lucky hit, umbral, prodigy, etc.
I haven’t needed to worry about mana yet because my build is literally unstable currents based. I’m a pure lightning sorcerer. All my damage comes from holding the basic attack button and watching all my other pieces of my build just work. I’m new to Diablo as a whole I have just about 57 hours split between 3 characters. But right now I’m focusing on my sorcerer. Basically this is what I’ve got Helmet = casting 5 basic skills reduces cooldowns Chest piece = heal up to 100 hp per second when close to enemies Gloves = vampiric curse soul attack on teleport Pants = basic skill grants 20% damage reduction Boots = 5 close enemy stuns every 20 seconds Wand = increased chain lightning bounces Focus = every basic skill cats has a 12% chance to fire any other lightning skill when not in unstable currents Ring 1 = unstable currents has 24% chance to double shot its skills Ring 2 = + 20% attack speed And amulet = up to 29% increased damage based on how much mana I have. Which sense I don’t use mana, is always a 29% buff.
I am playing the meteor build and its quite good except for this mana issue but you need 70 to get it. I've never seen resource generation on a focus yet.
If you are using ice shards or blizzard or a combo of them all you need is lucky hit and avalanche. I don’t use prodigy aspect or the other aspects that give mana back. I don’t have resource cost deduction or generation on my gear. I have max mana rolls though because I use elementalist’s aspect. I think I have one or two mana cost deduction rolls. When your lucky hit chance is high you’ll never run out of mana. I’ve used ice shards for 3 mins straight on a world boss without running out of mana. My max mana is 144.
I should look into that aspect that gives mana back when using a cd skill… but what I did to my build recently was try to get my Lucky Hit Chance as high as possible, and man I can tell you it really helped me soooo much, especially my 1v1’s against Bosses at the end of a dungeon.. nearly infinite mana fighting a boss, so therefore I can kill it fast. My Lucky Hit Chance total along with Lucky Hit when Barrier is active, totals to about 84.5%, which is huge considering it used to be around 30%+…
Having Lucky Hit: Resource restore is better than the Mana Regen bonus. Though if you have it on 2-3 items the Lucky hit is not rolling 2 times, but the % mana restored is the sum of all items (still the lucky hit is 5%). Moreover the lucky hit is triggered by any Ice shard hit (including the ones from the enchantment towards Frozen), as well as any Ice spike from the blizard (and other skills). So you just need Lucky Hit chance 30%+ and in addition some bonus mana from Paragons and items, you will never run out of mana. Also Avalanche is good that it increases the DMG from the cast (and with high lucky hit it is basically any second cast that is free and boosted). On earlier levels it is best to use the aspect that gives +1 charge of Avalanche, but later on mana will not be a big issue, so you could replace it with something else. That setup of course require targets to fire on, else if you cast on the ground or in the air mana will deplete, because there is no "hit" for the lucky hit. So make sure you have Ice shards enchantment + aspect that adds Ice spikes to Blizard, the aspect that adds Ice spikes to the Ultimate, because even if you don't use the ultimate it greatly increases the blast radius of all the spikes (including Blizard's). You can also use the aspect for Spieks to the Ice Shield as it also increases the chill % for all spikes (including those from Blizard). So basically you just throw some blizards over the group and finish them off with Ice shards, throw Frost nova now and then. Still cooldown reduction is a very good to have, but not for regaining mana
The problem with D4 is that you can't get those benefits at low level since those stats are only available at late game. In addition, you need to be high level to have enough skill points to get the passive skills you mentioned and to lower the CD of the skills. So naturally, the higher level you get, the better resource management is available to you. So what new players can get out of this video is to simply "level up", in other words you're simply stating the obvious. But as a current player, what I get out of this video is that you made a good case to use a focus. I think that alone will solve my mana issue, not to mention, I can use two aspects instead of one for double effect -- I'm ok with that trade off.
This one actually helped me as I was struggling - I was missing the prodigy aspect - the rest of the build is pretty much standard ( I am using deep freeze instead of blizzard though to have that "shit I got in trouble" button to get out again )
All good and well unless you NEVER see these aspects drop. I've recently started a new sorcerer and have only twice seen the Chain Lightning aspect that gives 1.5 - 3.0 mana every time it hits a target. Same with the aspect that grants mana when a cooldown is used. I've only seen it drop literally once! And my characters is now Level 92 already!
Works well in the middle of an Unstable Currents duration. Also with the lucky hit resetting defensive cooldowns, sometimes you can flameshield twice in a row. Not to mention points in flameshield increase the duration. When combined with ice armor, you can really spam until everything's dead.
You don’t have to have 4 defensives to play a class. This is just one guy with one build where that’s the case. There’s an insane amount of successful and powerful combinations that’ll work without 4 defensives.
Don't necessarily disagree with any of this, but burning passives are a huge dmg boost which means no Avalanche as you need to take shatter to maintain your AoE. This is of course up for debate, and what works for you works for you, but your crit is nerfed without burning passives.
I have a fire mage build. I don't like to just press one button all the time and I like to burn shit down. As one does, obviously. But my build is extremly mana intensive. I'm running an Umbral Ring and Incendiary Aspect (since it procs on fire damage). I don't have issues with packs of mobs. The regen during pacs is enough that I can spam out my Meteors, Hydras and Firewalls (yeah that's why it's so expensive) without end. The bigger the pack the more I can spam my spells. And once I run out of mana, Inferno comes to the rescue where all casts are free. So far so good for AoE. But Bossfights are a different story. Especielly bossfights with few or no adds at all. To have no downtime, I fill my mana back up with firebolt and hope for Incendiary procs (which come rarly since I only have the dungeon base version of the ring). But my end goal with the build is to replace firebolt with teleport. I tried to do that but with my current gear and stats, I can't sustain the build outside of big AoE situations. My Sorcerer has still a lot of room to grow though. I'm only level 58 and I barely have any mana cost and cooldown reductions on my gear. With better gear come cheaper spells, a better proc chance on incendiary (if it ever drops), higher mana regen (through gear and paragon), and all of that will help me sustain a lot better even during Single Target Bossfights and once I kick out Firebolt again and put Teleport back in. The build is a lot of fun. During large AoE fights, everything just burns, 8 Hydra Heads shoot fire bolts, Shattered Meteors fall from the sky, all while a giant firesnake rounds everybody up into a nice clump. With umbral and incendiary, it's almost like having a constant inferno going when fighting big packs. I know this build might not be the most optimal. But it gets the job done really well in AoE. I just don't know how to get single target to work. And I need to get that to work for Lilith. But well, I'm still 42 levels out of facing her. We'll see how the build performes in the Endgame.
Aspect of concentration is the best if you can get it. You get 40% increase in mama regeneration. It’s just hard to get it to drop I’m 92 and only had it dropped once
frozen nova aspect for 2 charges on amulet and additional you can use the X mana for CCing enemy (what you do permanently as ice sorc especially if you have penitant shoes with chill walk) so you really have permanently mana up and together with avalanche aspect :-D Cd is more a prob than anything else then
my opinion : your rings must have option mana maximum - helm same . glove you have lucky hit chance soure primary and focus you have same . aspect increase 20% lucky hit while have barier . when you have all , you don't worry mana cost 😁
How to fix light sorc mana, switch to ice. How to play the sorc build you want, switch to ice. You can play any sorc build you want, as long as it is ice. Do you prefer to be a light sorc? Come over here with me in the "get fkd" corner.
Diablo 2 Sore had Warmth that just increased mana regeneration. that's all you needed. max that sucker out and you never have to think about mana again! ...I miss that.
Why would you RunAspect of frosen tundra, when you dont have deepfreeze in your build ? ( im new to diablo, so iknow nothing) - Also, might be the best run down of skills ive seen yet, every one else is just THIS IS BEST EVER JADADADAD... very nice. sub incomming
No, cooldown reduction is not additive. 11% and 9% does not equal 20%. Lets just take cooldown reduction is 100 for sake of numbers. 11% would then bring it down to 89. Then 9% of 89 is basically 8, so it would then bring it down to 81. It's close to 20% but quite there. Then if you have another item that gives 7% cooldown reduction it would take 7% of 81 which is 5.6 ( I don't know which way Diablo rounds things so let's just say 5). So then the reduction would be 76 now, which is a total of 24% reduction and not the 27% if you took 11+9+7. Damage reduction, cooldown reduction, dodge chance, and resistances are multiplicative percentages and not additive ones. Crit chance, crit damage, and lucky hit chance are additive. So with these ones you do actually add all the percentages up then apply it to the thing.
Everythingg u said makes complete sense and works. But I decided to go for damage over everything else. Ubber Lilith melts under Blizzard now. I do run out of Mana and it is annoying. But my build is now so fun to play I dont even care.
I think there is something wrong with Sorcerer in Diablo 4. It shouldn't be this frustrating and hard just to use skills while leveling to 50. And don't get me started with Arc Lash. It might be effective, but it's not fun.
I did this, fixed my build and Cooldowns are the issue they don't come fast enough for me and im sitting there waiting long for the timers to finish. what now ?
Prodigy’s aspect is no more better than recharge aspect or a couple others, unless you have affixes that directly contribute to resource cooldown/reduction of some sort.
Went and got that aspect… it’s not just as simple as tossing it on gear. It needs resources that I’m not really sure how to get. Not that this isn’t a good upload with info! I do appreciate it, but I ran all the way to get this aspect as a new player and it’s just sitting there LOL
Nice build and good video explaining it. I have a question, in the build you have Aspect of the Frozen Tundra on your 1-handed weapon. But we don't have deep freeze and not using that ability makes that aspect useless, right?
My guess is it's for the increased radius to the blizz spikes which it also affects. edit: yep, he's using the blizzard spike aspect too, you can see the spikes pop when he casts blizz
Ice shield doesn't add 25% to your mana regen....it 25% X your current rate. So if you regen at 10, it goes up to 12.5... its not really that helpful initially but does add up over time.
I don’t think avalanche ice shards is better than arc lash build, which is much easier to optimise for. Ice shards shows most with shatter. Correct me if I’m wrong here.
I've played now over 300 hrs and never find a higher prodigys aspect use since day one the "weaker" version from the codex. Must be the rarest aspect to get higher unfortunately 😅
Leveling a sorc in D4 is just not fun at all. Arc lash almost becomes a must (though i run chain lightning too until i get to end game and switch to ice) and most of the time you are jumping INTO melee range to punch defensive skills. If I wanted to jump into mobs and swing my staff like a barbarian… I would have fuckin rolled a barbarian.
@@skyfire_swe8520 Vulnerable damage exclusive to secondary ice passives leaving only frost nova for other builds. frost nova being melee only. several spells that work best up close. damage multipliers dependent upon close range. The problem is that we are seeing all these builds with ice shards that have no basic skill and people are seeing this and are trying to play with no basic skill which is the most important skill to generate mana, the game is designed to have basic and core skills work in unison and if you wanna go against the grain than you better have a back up

I’m level 85 so my build is pretty op only thing is you need to tweak the build to not be so squishy which you need gear for that
Thanks 4 your guide no longer have mana issues . Thanks
What would be even better is to run the following on your focus:
“Lucky hit: you have a 5% chance to gain X primary resource”
You can also get them on your gloves like Frostburn. And they stack. So 10% chance to gain X primary resource on damage. Plus with another affix like 5% chance to gain mana on burning enemies (since everything is burning with the enchantment”
I literally never run out of mana and I don’t use the prodigy aspect.
I got both and still run out though 😅
I definitely refreeze faster than 8 seconds.
@@brandonvoice8941 If it's anything like WoW, it should be half duration each time a cc is applied within 8 seconds of a prior cc. (typically type-matched, like freeze reduces the following freeze but doesn't affect immobilize).
My god!!! Thank you for this video. I was just about to give up on my mage. I will do these and see if there is a difference.
You shouldn't be using defensive cooldowns to restore mana at higher level, you will find yourself in a stick situation and get 1 shot most likely
Exactly. this only works in low end activities
@@whosurjustin There is aspect that returns 1-4 mana each time enemy is CC'd. I imagine it works well with blizzard - if u have max roll on that ofc
This by far best video that explains something much appreciated this as am having same issue 😢
My build has no room for the prodigy's aspect but I do focus on mana cost reduction and my Ice shards cost 19 mana to cast. I also have the 25% mana regen from ice armor which gived a 16/mana per tick regen. After mana cost reduction I focus on CDR and lucky hit (+116% total with barrier)
It takes me around 14 casts of ice shards before I run out of mana and this is with zero proc on the avalach passive.
the problem with mage is it starts to really work very late and might still be a gamble. sometimes I can spam ice shards for a very long period, other times
I´m empty after 5. A high lucky hit is what I´m currently working on and it has a huge impact.
Prodigy is literally the MVP sorc aspect. Every good sorc build has teleport, frost nova, ice armor. 3 free casts that give you 15-25+ mana each.
Based on what you are saying you aren't casting Ice Shards above 100 mana, so you are missing the +20-40% crit from elementalist's aspect & 10-20% damage from Edgemaster's aspect (I dont use this one), and 9% damage from elemental dominance (rank 3 core skills)
Honestly don't think sorc can do a tier 20-30 nightmare dungeon without prodigy / elementalist.
@@Insnebob that´s the 2nd half of the truth. next to sustainability it´s vital to get those damage bonuses as many as you can. the quicker they´re dead, the less mana you need :)
can you share your build on a build site?😬 need some guide to work on
Recommendation from youtube… noice u got a subscribe… clear and informative 👍
I think a thing to note, is based off the tool tip, Resource Generation affects the mana restored from fixed effects as well as your passive regen.
So I'm pretty sure it buffs resource on lucky hit, umbral, prodigy, etc.
Very helpful information, short and to the point.
Basically this is what I’ve got
Helmet = casting 5 basic skills reduces cooldowns
Chest piece = heal up to 100 hp per second when close to enemies
Gloves = vampiric curse soul attack on teleport
Pants = basic skill grants 20% damage reduction
Boots = 5 close enemy stuns every 20 seconds
Wand = increased chain lightning bounces
Focus = every basic skill cats has a 12% chance to fire any other lightning skill when not in unstable currents
Ring 1 = unstable currents has 24% chance to double shot its skills
Ring 2 = + 20% attack speed
And amulet = up to 29% increased damage based on how much mana I have. Which sense I don’t use mana, is always a 29% buff.
Thanks for the tips man! they are appreciated!
You should have frozen memories aspect though so your avalanche passive gains an extra use until your mana pool is large enough to not need it.
Yeah the focus thing is a great tip, i was exclusively using staffs... And running into mana issues...
This one actually helped me as I was struggling - I was missing the prodigy aspect - the rest of the build is pretty much standard ( I am using deep freeze instead of blizzard though to have that "shit I got in trouble" button to get out again )
As of the patch in early August '23, you can only use the Prodigy's Aspect on a single item.
Thank you I was getting frustrated with mana issues I will do this tonight
All good and well unless you NEVER see these aspects drop. I've recently started a new sorcerer and have only twice seen the Chain Lightning aspect that gives 1.5 - 3.0 mana every time it hits a target. Same with the aspect that grants mana when a cooldown is used. I've only seen it drop literally once! And my characters is now Level 92 already!
For me, flame shield was just too short to make a difference in mana management.
Works well in the middle of an Unstable Currents duration. Also with the lucky hit resetting defensive cooldowns, sometimes you can flameshield twice in a row. Not to mention points in flameshield increase the duration. When combined with ice armor, you can really spam until everything's dead.
Diablo IV made me realise how much I miss Arcane Power from III. I shouldn't have to have 4 defensives on my bars to play the class.
You don’t have to have 4 defensives to play a class. This is just one guy with one build where that’s the case. There’s an insane amount of successful and powerful combinations that’ll work without 4 defensives.
@@doglog5748Sorc has like 2-3 viable endgame builds and all run 3-4 defensives on your skill bar, “insane amount of combinations” lol whut
@@mooncow1072 Yep. My build is 4 defensives, 1 core, and the ultimate. completely custom build. works well, i think.
@@Icemario87 good to see that they added some more viable builds since I played lol

Very helpful! Thank you Marty.
I did that Witchwater dungeon, but I can't find the passive to use it :(
Don't necessarily disagree with any of this, but burning passives are a huge dmg boost which means no Avalanche as you need to take shatter to maintain your AoE. This is of course up for debate, and what works for you works for you, but your crit is nerfed without burning passives.
Edit: NVM found the build (wasn't pinned lol) thanks for the explanation on this.
Thanks bro. This was very informative.
Aspect of concentration is the best if you can get it. You get 40% increase in mama regeneration. It’s just hard to get it to drop I’m 92 and only had it dropped once
I use the frost ultimate with ice spikes aspect on my staff instead of ice shards I am definitely going to give this ability setup a try
just per info, Prodigy no longer stacks, so you can only have 1 at a time
frozen nova aspect for 2 charges on amulet and additional you can use the X mana for CCing enemy (what you do permanently as ice sorc especially if you have penitant shoes with chill walk) so you really have permanently mana up and together with avalanche aspect :-D Cd is more a prob than anything else then
Level 70, and I have never seen prodigy's aspect on dropped legendaries. Was beginning to wonder if it was codex only.
Same. Still waiting on Raiment of the Infinite too, get the feeling I'll be waiting till 80 for that so I can spend obols for it
my opinion : your rings must have option mana maximum - helm same . glove you have lucky hit chance soure primary and focus you have same . aspect increase 20% lucky hit while have barier . when you have all , you don't worry mana cost 😁

This is so helpful thank you for making this video definitely subscribing!!!
thanks for the straight forward vid!
Idk how y’all survive without the fire bolt. I need that mana regeneration.
Safe the day and link the build😉 great vid buddy!
The game really shouldn't need this much min-maxing for players just to have fun and not be OOM after 2 casts
you sir are a legend
How to fix light sorc mana, switch to ice. How to play the sorc build you want, switch to ice. You can play any sorc build you want, as long as it is ice. Do you prefer to be a light sorc? Come over here with me in the "get fkd" corner.
i just picked and stuck with staffs. I hated trying to compare a wand +focus that dropped to see if they are better than my staff.
It might be effective, but it's not fun.
greaaaattt video dude! Thanks!!!
I'm gonna try this tomorrow
I did this, fixed my build and Cooldowns are the issue they don't come fast enough for me and im sitting there waiting long for the timers to finish. what now ?
Prodigy’s aspect is no more better than recharge aspect or a couple others, unless you have affixes that directly contribute to resource cooldown/reduction of some sort.
So what is the order of priority ? Max mana > mana reduction > resource regen ?
Just choose the gear which has most of those choices available until you get all of em. Dont stress out and enjoy the game.
Thank u very much. Very useful video👍
Thank you mah dude!
@@sheep83 I had not noticed thanks for the clarification
I wanted to ask the same thing! :)
Appreciate this!
Ice shield doesn't add 25% to your mana regen....it 25% X your current rate. So if you regen at 10, it goes up to 12.5... its not really that helpful initially but does add up over time.
very clear, thx bro
resource regen and resource reduction on gear is good.
I don’t think avalanche ice shards is better than arc lash build, which is much easier to optimise for. Ice shards shows most with shatter. Correct me if I’m wrong here.
What’s that effect when you cast blizzard? And how to get it ? Thank you
this helped a lot
Thank u this is very helpful
that's a problem. Soc have to put those cdr mana reduction just to be able to cast. Instead of hv stats like vulnerable DMG etc.
Correct me if im wrong but wouldnt Prodigy Aspect benefit from the % resource generation gained from Willpower Stat?
You look and talk so much like Shroud, great video btw! :D
Mana regen, main resource is hard to come by with decent rolls. Doesn’t feel worth to even upgrade gear until cap 70.
”End game”
I've played now over 300 hrs and never find a higher prodigys aspect use since day one the "weaker" version from the codex. Must be the rarest aspect to get higher unfortunately 😅
Should have mentioned the paragon board that gives you +15% lucky hit chance

Leveling a sorc in D4 is just not fun at all. Arc lash almost becomes a must (though i run chain lightning too until i get to end game and switch to ice) and most of the time you are jumping INTO melee range to punch defensive skills. If I wanted to jump into mobs and swing my staff like a barbarian… I would have fuckin rolled a barbarian.
Agreed. Wizard in Diablo 3 is WAY more fun than sorcerer in D4. How did they manage to make a sorcerer not fun?!
@@skyfire_swe8520 Vulnerable damage exclusive to secondary ice passives leaving only frost nova for other builds. frost nova being melee only. several spells that work best up close. damage multipliers dependent upon close range. The problem is that we are seeing all these builds with ice shards that have no basic skill and people are seeing this and are trying to play with no basic skill which is the most important skill to generate mana, the game is designed to have basic and core skills work in unison and if you wanna go against the grain than you better have a back up
basics do not generate mana unless you go deep into them. and even then it's only 2 out of 4 of them.
I use gain 4 resoure for each crowd controlled
