Like everyone knows the Joker but not everyone knows who Zsasz is. This game was the reason why I learned about so many of Batman's villains and so I was really excited to see your opinions on them! Also congrats on deducing who The Spirit of Arkham was! I'm ngl I had to use a guide for that as a kid completing it for the first time, lol.

If Batman hadn't been running the trace on him and just gotten the trophies Riddler would've had time to escape before the police got to his location. Batman figuring out where he was before solving all the riddles and then also solving all the riddles proves that he is smarter than Riddler.

He was the winner of a contest to have a character model in the game modeled after him and his name was also one of the ones on Joker’s party list. Also, he didn’t chew his arm off, he is wearing a straight jacket with one of his arms still bound up

I like that little detail of him roasting or trolling Batman when he initially starts to find the trophies and figure out the riddles, but once it looks like Batman will actually figure it all out Riddler gets more and more nervous and angry about it.
In the comics Joker doesn't wear makeup he just fell into a vat of chemicals. He only wears makeup in the movies. Just like in the comics Batman never trained with Ra's Al Ghul. That's only a thing from the Nolan Trilogy. The movies try to be more realistic than the comics so they change things up. Which is weird because comics are anything but realistic. Realism doesn't apply to comic books. I mean Joker has died so many times and magically appears again. But that's the beauty of comic books it's wacky and fun. You don't have to overthink it just have fun.
There are a LOT of riddles/trophies/hidden question marks in Arkham City. In fact, it's the most in the Arkham series. The Joker teeth are in that game, but there are other things to destroy, to get credit for beating the Riddler. Have fun!

Aww, you didn't read the Spirit of Amadeus Arkham, 😅 If you reread it, it gives a description that Quincy Sharp had a diagnosis of a schizophrenic personality disorder that he chose to ignore. He then found the old hidden writings of Amadeus Arkham and became obsessed with them to the point he became two people: himself who believed in curing Gotham and the other who wanted to eradicate the evil of insanity from Arkham. He's stalked and killed patients, with the ultimate goal being to kill the Joker. (That 'horrible name' being, 'Sharpie') It does state it's possible his rational side is not even aware of it himself. So he's talking about burning Ivy and lobotomizing Harley, and many others. And now he's on the run, leaving Batman to be the only one who knows who Warden Sharp (Sharpie) (Spirit of Amadeus Arkham) really is.
I came back to finish this, and I just saw that this studio Rocksteady may be developing a new Batman game. They did make the game The Suicide Squad Kills The Justice League and it flopped hard and rightfully so from what I hear. Perhaps returning to form is the best way to get back on track.
There's a few youtubers who actually go out of their way to complete all the riddles, which I understand is a lot, but nonetheless great job on collecting them all 🙂↕️
Bloody hell, I love watching people play this series but never seen anyone committed to the riddler trophies. But, Arkham City riddler trophies will be longer, and more worth it at the end.
I've seen few creators, and friends, who have done ALL of the trophies, and they all said it was worth it - plus my secret passion is puzzle games so it was win win for me!!
hahah, in my head it only took about 3, and then I put the footage into the editor. it took me an extra day to work through, but 100+ trophies in 5 hours!!
The story of Amadeus Arkham is an adaptation of the story Arkham Asylum: a Serious House on Serious Earth by Grant Morrison in which Batman trapped in Arkham Asylum and has to fight his way out as demanded by the villains due to them having taken the Arkham staff as hostages. At the end of the story it is revealed that a doctor of the Asylum had found the journal of Amadeus Arkham and found that Amadeus had been haunted by constant visions of a demonic bat and believed Batman was the demon in the nightmares of Amadeus. He revealed that he believed he was destined to continue Amadeus's work believing Batman to be "The Bat" itself, Dr. Cavendish accuses him of feeding the evil of the house by bringing it more insane souls. He was killed in the struggle by one of the doctors in self-defense. Really the story is mostly about Amadeus Arkham and his descent to madness and it's one of the darkest Batman stories of all time.
This is some fantastic background and context, thank you! There’s a few points where the tapes felt like a turning point or I missed part of the story - but this just brings it all together 🫶🏼
Yeah the riddles were my least favorite thing about Asylum. But it was worth it just to hear Riddler get taken down by the cops. The only thing Riddler is A-Grade in is being a prick.

I usually don't watch episodes of pure riddles but you just bring an enjoyable vibe that I have to watch lol
