We spent 5 days in Phuket and 5 Days in Krabi and we definitely prefer Krabi....just a pity we back at home now...South Africa

I think krabi is very beautiful from the nature but what i experienced i thought there were like sooo many indian restaurants and i rarely found thai foodstalls that are run by thais in ao nang area except the Night market
It's ok there are some nice local restaurants buy Indian food is not bad too 😀

I was there at the end of December and stayed 3 nights at the Frank AoNang resort. I should have stayed longer! Highlight was Railay Beach, smoke enhanced sunsets, and the food! I took the ferry from there to Phuket. Easy process, any of the booking agents on the street will arrange pickup, ferry, and hotel transfer (I was in Kata Beach).

Ko Phangan on the Gulf side north of Ko Samui still has what Krabi used to have.
It depends on what your looking for.
Cheers Arsen. Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket main go too's for many, many years, visiting other places of course. Have now gravitated to Wet Season given Chiang Mai smoke. Phuket too many tourists. Koh Samui, you air fare + accom + taxi over pricing, even though I love the beaches. So maybe Krabi is worth a longer than a "one day tour stay". Thank for your efforts...my word, a long drive back. 🙏

I first went to Krabi in 1996. It was very different then. Not so built up like it is now. I still like it though, and yes, it is better than Phuket.

Krabi is a small town... cheaper than BKK/ Pattaya/ Phuket.... very peaceful.... Not many places for night action...

I've lived in Phuket for nearly 10 years and I've never been stolen from. Spent 1 day in Krabi and somebody stole my sunglasses from my motorbike..
