I can see if one had control over who got what that they funneld funds to certain cards and made sure others got none at time. so as they say fraudsters find ways to score bank as if they need it and others get none cause froze to sort the problem any. so many bad apples ruin it for the bunch.,

And... California doesn't learn and now the gas rebate will be issued on debit card as well. It's cheaper and safer just to mail checks and let people deposit them to their desired bank accounts...or just do direct deposits.
Except many checks by mail were stolen.
@@monkeyking-self-proclaimed7050 Statistically speaking, it's not true that "many" checks are stolen in the mail. Also, a check require you to deposit into an traceable account, in a bank or via a modern ATM that captures one's image and biometric - it's much more traceable than a stolen card used online or via some corner store ATM. Obviously, the best approach is direct deposit the fund, it's fast, efficient and most environmentally friendly.
Or just take off that stupid gas tax everyone voted for.

I've used BofA for decades and never had a problem. BofA stopped the thefts by Governor Newsom and his appointees and accomplices. Over $40 ,billion was stolen in California. Billions were stolen in every state.
Duh! It was obvious from Day One that the majority of fraud was coming from the contracted customer service reps. So obvious!!! They were minimum wage workers horrible at their job. Those people had open access to what cards were getting funded with thousands of dollars in back pay and had a head start to withdrawal as soon as the debit card was funded. That level of fraud is coming from inside the house. EDD is the worst agency in California and needs a complete overhaul top down.
It's always an inside job. Always same as IRS. Welfare and any of the lovely alphabet agencies.
When I used CA EDD I found it would be easy to commit fraud. EDD nor BofA know the product and how it works. It took me a month to get my EDD and then a week to get my card to work. Everyone from EDD to BofA kept passing me around. Finally, I sat and read all materials I could find. And figured it out.

Last week I got 1k stolen off my EDD debit card and only used it at the Bank of America ATM to withdrawal after waiting for a year in back pay. I went inside the branch and got told to basically kick rocks in Oroville, CA
Contact your local news and your state representatives. They owe you the refund. of stolen funds.
Shoot up the EDD office.
Thats horrible!!! Taking advantage of people who are literally going through such a hard financial time .

There was a man that came to my doorstep looking for a EDD card. He said it was his aunties card and was sent to my address my response was why are YOU here and not the cops?
BofA also collaborated in giving the FBI every single account from January 6 in D.C.

As a spouse of a employee of the contractor company that was spoken about in this video. The amount of information that these so called “BOFA” employees which is the first lie they say when they answer your incoming call they are not Bank Of America employees! These people dealing with California EDD go threw 3 weeks of training the amount of information These so called “BOFA” employees have to your money is unreal from SSN,Addresses,Phone numbers. All the information needed to steal a identity. Not to mention these calls are taken inside of peoples houses not in a call center!

No, they are genious!! They are going to be one they, if discover all the fraud, that people from other countries ,do yearly. This is an example : a lot of residents,come from other countries to work temporaraly open their unemployment leaving their family in charge collecting their unemployment for them.

After waiting weeks/months for a claim to be processed, often the first payment will be retroactive.. thus large payments of thousands are common.

Lots of things were put on hold - rent, mortgages, loans etc. People saved the EDD payments so they could pay those things when they became due again.
It doesn't matter if they needed it or not. It was insurance. UI = Unemployment INSURANCE in case you are too dumb to figure it out. So you pay for car insurance and pay out of your own pocket when you get into an accident? Don't tell me you are this stupid.

I live in Los Angeles. I had fraud happen to my on me EDD debit card. They used my card at a ATM in Orange County California. Guess mine was local scammers? They literally checked my balance then withdrew whatever I had left on the card. Lucky for me, Bank of America fixed it. And I got my $80 back.

My dad's account just got frozen and we are not able to open it back up. They closed his account. He's on ly had it for barley a year. We keep calling.trying to get his account reopened so he can pay for gas and medication. This is so messed up

This why I don't bank with BOFA anymore. It purposely charges you a late fee with certain withdraws. its a good thing I waited to see what the issue was and of course a inside job.

Knew it all along it was an inside job, no one could of done it so easily.......EDD sux.
For example, students get a free computer to take home, but parents never paid a deposit nor did the school district pay a deposit for each computer on loan or given away. The school district also didn't pay for the computers...so somehow money laundering happens easily. A welfare recipient receives 200$ a month to make ends meet and Family & Children then turn around and spend 2K per foster child in or out of care. A hospital for every patient admitted gives a child a Game Console that is priced at 1K or 500K and the hospital is not paying for it but pretends Toys R US will write it off so Japanese Citizens starve out by not collecting a full retail fee or the local area. Non debit cards ie credit cards have an interest rate of 20% or 25% or 15%. Lets say nothing over 3% interest rate may be legal. How so, if I take .05 cents from each week on any balance and then multiply that by 10 million per month...one month generated 500M, million dollars...because 10 million people had a balance for that particular month...regardless of the balance....so baking dollars or rather proofing dollars is illegal beyond 3%. Lets say the bank is charging 15% interest rate and the majority of cards fall in that category for any given balance, that month the bank collected 1.5 M, million dollars in one given month. So, after 12 months, the bank collected 15M, million dollars just because 10 million people had a balance on their card regardless of the amount borrowed. Now supposed its all based on your balance..haha...I wont dare, it may be well over 500M, million dollars per year to act as Banking Sharks...now there are Lemon Laws that too target Shark Loaners and Shark Interest Rates...haha Why does everyone ignore them..including this so called investigator that has nothing better to do except pick on unemployment recipients.
