Bank of America said: “As California’s unemployment program faced billions of dollars in fraud, Bank of America’s No. 1 goal always has been to ensure legitimate recipients could access their benefits. With this agreement, we are committing to additional measures to help those entitled to unemployment benefits receive those benefits as quickly as possible.”

CA EDD is a joke and hopefully they get restructured. I can’t imagine what people are going through while they’re waiting for a response from EDD. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to verify income and benefits. Imagine if you didn’t have to identify yourself to obtain EDD benefits. Strange how you need to prove who you are for so many things but voting is done using the honor system.
Regarding the voting, if it works they wouldn't let you do it.

I took my funds out of Wells Fargo and I put those funds in a chase bank account

I truly need to find out somebody with FBI where I need to file a claim and try to get some real true healthier I need some real true advocacy because I think these people are going to chew me up and spit me out
They could have just cancelled the cards and mailed new ones like anyone else.
this just happened to my dad. they took $4000 from his account and his account was frozen. we put a claim and they are saying it did an investigation and there was no error. but my dad NEVER made those withdrawals. I know for a fact because he has no car and the city where the withdrawals happened are like an hr away! plus he doesn't drive far because he gets lost!
I have called the bank and reopened the investigation but they are telling me I have to make a report to the police. my dad went to the police station but they said they don't handle those kinds of cases. Please help! if someone can guide us in the right direction 🙏 my dad does not speak English and he lacks the understanding of such things im afraid they will take advantage of him. he is depressed and is not eating nor sleeping. when he called me to tell me they had stolen his money when he first found out he was in tears!
The banks policies and procedures on first party fraud force you to freeze & close accounts. Especially in ID theft scenarios. If the imposter has all your info what can you do?

I wish they would go away! Mishandled calpers retirement ,homes in 2008, insurance claims, you name it ,and they just keep practicing it.

I can't file for my unemployment insurance somebody else stole my passwords I've been locked out of the system and I can't get ahold of anybody I need somebody's help I can't even get the police to help me
With me it is identity fraud and that's been since May 4th 2021, maybe before, may 4th is when i really noticed, so if I can talk to somebody I would really appreciate whoever help me investigate my problem. My computer, phone, and tablet has been hacked, they could be stealing right on EDD online 😑
