How come when I connect green and yellow LEDs to the 3.3v rail it fries them, but red LEDs are fine?

I power it with 12v, but on 5v rail I have 9-10v output, not 5v. 3.3v rail is ok. Is this normal?

I have the MB102 power supply hooked up with a 9v battery. My problem is, it seems to be really unstable, with fluctuating voltages depending on the load. When i choose the 5V mode with nothing attached, i only get 2.9V on the rail. When i place in an led, the voltage on the rails instantly drop down to 1.9V. Are that normal loading effects, or is the battery to weak? i cant figure out, what is going on. Are that common problems?

      same happened to me.
I have switching power supply of 5v 10a.
this board seems kinda like stepdown Volt. dunno why.

get a wall adapter like 9V or 12V and plug it in through DC jack also this module can out put current upto 800mA iirc, and yeah the chinese variants can be faulty sometimes the usb connecter is unregulated etc etc

thanks for the vid Scotty! As a green man who wants to practice the basics, I'm wondering whether it's a good idea to connect the board to my house network - a power supply connected to an outlet in a wall. does it pose any risk to the whole network?

For the power supply you showed, is ground the same as the positive or negative rails?

Can I power it through 5V 2A power adapter?

Depends on how much volts the supply can hold

What if I ran 8.4 volts but like 3000 mah, will that burn it out?

How do I get 9v output?

you can't. its either 5v or 3.3v. Otherwise you can just use a boost converter to get 9v

I have on of those where the USB is a power output, not an input.
