    So awesome! I'm not a Starlink user, but thank you for making your designs free for the community and for putting so much detail into these videos. Would love to see another 3D printing video... maybe with some expansion on your tips/tricks for printing with multiple filaments to do inlays, etc. Very very cool stuff!

    You are a GOD tier problem solver! Every solution you come up with fixes a pain or inefficiency that us Van/Bus/Overlander builders can only dream of creating. Thank you for putting these solutions out there for the masses in a clear and easy to follow medium. You're the gold standard of quality rig designing and you make the community a stronger, more informed place. Thank you!
    P.S. I will someday incorporate a modified version of your extending solar panel array design into my rig, no matter how crazy those around me think I am!

    I may never have an RV, Starlink or a 3-D printer, but I enjoy & appreciate your content just the same.
    You mentioned that the POE board had design decisions that oozed with thoughtfulness.
    I must say, your videos ooze with thoughtfulness.
    All the inserted pictures that clarify everything you're talking about.
    The links to the products, the chapters and the Chapter Markers you provide, it's the definition of thoughtfulness.
    I also want to make it a point to say that I greatly appreciate the subtitles and translations.
    I watch everything with subtitles, because it isn't always clear what the speaker is saying.
    Although, I don't have any problem understanding what YOU are saying.
    Your voice and your speech are easy to hear and understand.
    I greatly appreciate your wit and your style as well.
    You really put out great content and a great product.
    Even though I'm homebound, I will continue to enjoy your content.
    You give a lot, you have attention to detail and thoughtfulness.
    I can't think of another site that I frequent that does so much or does it so well.
    I have subscribed to your channel.
    However I NEVER get notifications from TH-cam FOR ANY of the channels I subscribe to.

    There are also different RJ45 crimp connectors for stranded vs solid wire. The "pins" on the stranded type have two stabby prongs lined up on the center of the wire. The solid type have 3 prongs, 2 offset one way, 1 offset the other, meant to grab the sides of the solid wire. The wrong type can work on the wrong wire but it's not as reliable.

    Speeds in our RV traveling accross the usa are much slower, we rarely get over 40 or 50 unless we are in a much less congested area. Our starlink has been run over by fellow rvers 3 times, when it happens the motors are crushed and i had to manually point it at the northern sky until i got a replacement from starlink. I am getting ready to hard wire cables with connectors into the rv to make set up and tear down quicker. We mount our dish on several different ways depending on the campground, sometimes on our 25 foot pole, sometimes the ground, sometimes on the roof, sometimes on a custom 5 foot pole that i made custom 3d printed mounts for.(this keeps people from running it over). We have to deal with a lot of tree obstructions in campgrounds, a few times we were completely obstructed like in florida, Wyoming and Michigan. Larry

I was gonna buy a inverter so I didn’t have to cut wires and screw around with the cables like you mentioned. One question, with that converter box your friend made (awesome by the way) do I use the starlink cables to the starlink router? Or do I buy a 12 vdc router and standard cables for the ports on that magic box. Sorry kinda new to routers and the wacky way starlink wires it. I’d appreciate any input so when I buy my stuff, I do it right the first time.

    It’s possible that this is the best thing i have seen in 3 years…. And nice work on the case design! That definitely took some time!! I only make simple things to print or download because I don’t have your skills!

    Absolutely love your flat-mount and Dishy Dualie DC videos, they gave me the confidence to order Starlink, print the mount and order a Dualie power supply (used your code).
    I'm now at the stage of nervously performing the install, since I'm using the Dualie DC I'll terminate into the power supply using the recommended T-568B pinout. Would you recommend that at the Dishy's coupler end that there is any logic in using the X-swapped pinout you suggested in the flat-mount video or should we just use T-568B on the coupler when pairing the flat-mount with the Dualie DC power supply?
    Keep up the great work, I'll be watching more of your adventures. 👍

    • @Everlanders
      @Everlanders  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No. Standard T568b everywhere... The swap is handed by the Dishy DC power supply.

      Hi I’m Max from Switzerland, actually in Alaska with my RV and family, full timer since two years and far from Nikola Tesla with my zero knowledge in electric stuff. And English is not my mother language too😝.
      Thanks for sharing your knowledge and files through your videos.
      I’ve a flatmount Starlink and I want to convert it in 12 v.
      But I’m not sure to understand everything… First question: With the system presented in this video we have to change the routeur or we can still use the Starlink one?

    Great in concept! I ordered mine way back in June right after watching this video. Sadly, as of Today's Date, September the 18th, the company still has no clear answer on when, if ever, they will ship. I imagine your viewer base may have overwhelmed them with orders as soon as this came out! 🙂

    • @Everlanders
      @Everlanders  ปีที่แล้ว

      Can confirm, he's swamped with pre-orders and 2 to 3 months out on shipping new orders...

      It's pretty simple to just crimp on another end and use a coupler...

    • @livingwithrob

      @@Everlanders I've been considering doing the "swapped" version you previously recommended.

    • @Everlanders

      @livingwithrob There's no need, just use a coupler to the original router...

  • @greygag36
    @greygag36 ปีที่แล้ว

    On the crimp difficulties there are 2 different styles of rj45 ends. You are likely using an end designed for solid cable on a stranded cable. Using the right design will make it much easier.

    Fantastic Jason i already purchased my dishy dc!!!! Next video will be perfect to understand why is better to have a different router (the one you have) instead the original starlink… there is any advantage??

    Quick question: How long does it take to receive the device. I made a pre-order in March, paid it in April, and no news so far at the end of May? I understand it is a small company but still, they have to keep their delivery schedule, the delivery date was 11th May.

    Bonjour Everlanders, If I understood correctly this Canadian card replaces the Tycon PoE Injector systems POE-INJ-1000-WT and the XWST DC 12V voltage converter.
    Thanks for all the links and 3D plans.
    I haven't bought the STARLINK yet, it shouldn't take long. We are preparing our RV and expect to go to the USA next year when we retire.
