It’s awesome you take time to look for window reflections before installing the grass. We just spent $7000 on artificial grass in our backyard and had no idea window reflection damages the grass. The installers told us when they were more than halfway done. When the sales person came to give us a quote he didn’t mention it at all. Now we are looking in to films for four windows to prevent the reflection.
Wow! Thank you for this. We are doing a project in my 3,000 sq ft yard in Los Angeles. My installer (friend of a friend--both work in landscaping) was a no-show today. I truly appreciate how your video was instantly helpful and immediately gave us confidence to pull off the final step--laying out the turf. I hauled a 1000 sq ft roll of turf yesterday but with no installer today, We have meticulously layed in the roadbase and the decomposed granite layer on top over the past weeks and were ready today for the install. Thanks for being my installer, oh well handholding installer. We did it thanks to you. May the karma you deployed here, bring you plentiful of business. I wish you great success and prosperity. You lighten up the world.
Amazing video, Seth, great work. Anyone looking for anything related to artificial turf (estimates, Products, DIY advice, etc) in Utah or Idaho needs to go see these guys. There's a reason why this company has a sold 5 start review on google; their prducts are top quality, and their customer service is unprecidented.
Incredible video very detailed and extremely informative. I was you were in my area, because I know the job would get done right. The most informative video I watched. Thank you very much well done.
You guys hammered it. 💪Great explanation on each of the project steps with the necessary details given to stay focused on getting the job done the best way. Thank you so much.👏
Hi, the only thing I didn’t see you use that many use is the hoop pins to hammer in. I think they use them on each seam maybe but seemed common to use them. Thanks for the tips on the boarder material as I was gonna use wood but it’ll rot in my area as I lo have much water run off etc. I’m on the East coat NJ, any different technique I should use or materials vs yours?
Best presentation I’ve watched so far. Thank you! True professional installation video and simple to follow along. Now come give us a bid :) we are in Utah!
Amazing video mate. I am in process on doing my backyard. Would soil work as a base, and I see there is no weed sheet/mat you put in. i am actually trying to install to prevent weed from growing. Thanks heaps
Hi, We have bubbles problem with our newly installed artificial turf. It looks wavy all over. Our installer did not use kicker. He just laid the turf and nailed it all over the edges. I told him about the kicker but he said that we don't need the kicker and just add more nails. I am planning to do it myself after watching your video. Do I have to pull out all the nails or just leave one side and kick the turf towards the other side? I don't know if I can still do the diamond shape. Thank you.
Hey man great video I followed your video in ground prep. I drew up my backyard, would it be possible to get your input in where I should place seams or any tips on how to lay out the turf. Local shops have rolls that are 15ft wide.
Very informative and put together video and how to but d o only people with square/rectangular yards get fake grass ? Our yard is is mostly pathways. Pool/Hot tub gezebo/fire pit area. Not some simple square. Like to see them installs.
Great tutorial video. 3 questions. What glue/adhesive were you using? Since I am in Louisiana we have VERY hot sun. Any tips on choosing turf that will stay cooler? Also a unique Louisiana issue. Any special tips on drainage and maintaining a permeable surface to handle our periodic monsoon rains. I have "French drains" in lots of areas of my yard. Will all artificial turfs allow water to flow fast enough to avoid standing water issues? or are there specific things I should look for when choosing my turf? Thanks again. You're a great teacher! Props... ***
Awesome video! Can we use fine DG as base material for turf? Also I see you did not lay weed control fabric underneath base material. Any reason why it was not done?
Nice video. I’m about to start my install in my approx 250 sqft patio. There used to be small white rocks in my patio and it currently has two drains. It’s those green grates that pop up. Do I get rid of that draining system or use them?
We installed ours today and didn’t realize about the turf burn. We were just about finished and we looked over and seen we had a patch that had melted.

Sorry to hear your experience. Turf burn is more common than you think.
Very informative. This is the only video everyone needs to watch to get sync turf DIY started ❤. Thank you for putting this together.

You guys hammered it. 💪Great explanation on each of the project steps with the necessary details given to stay focused on getting the job done the best way. Thank you so much.👏
Outstanding job. Wish you guys were in the UK.
Great video, thank you. Curious why you did not install a permeable weed mat barrier on top of the native soil (before adding the blended borrow).
The turf itself acts as a weed barrier. Hopefully the infill does not support weeds.
Great video, very helpful! I noticed you didn’t use weed barrier? Is that not necessary?
Sick, going to attempt my 154sqft yard next week thanks for the info!!
Most helpful video. Is there a special type of grass used for hotter desert areas like Vegas or Palm Springs where it gets two 125ish.
Excellent, Excellent instructional video. Question: how do you make sure the leveling is to that it is draining away from home?

I love your video! It's very helpful. Thank you!
I don't see you put weed barrier. Why?
There are different opinions on this. We prefer not to use weed barrier for projects that have pets.

How are nails holding up in winter time? Can frost and thaw work them upwards? Excellent information btw ‼️

Any specific reason for not using weed blocker sheet?
Loved this video, very informative. also, VANS COME SPONSOR THESE GUYS ASAP!! haha
What if you’re working on a slope? How many degrees can you install this on without washout? Thanks

Instead of a carpet kicker can i use a flat weight? Might be a stupid question but my turf area will be VERY small
Awesome demo

How do I calculate how much base gravel I need if I know my square footage and inches I want in depth.

You guys are impressive.
We installed ours today and didn’t realize about the turf burn. We were just about finished and we looked over and seen we had a patch that had melted.
Turf Goat! Thanks great video!!!
We'll take it! Thank you!
Seth is the man!
Excellent tutorial. Best on TH-cam.
How much turf tape do i need to cover a job laying 7000 sqft of turf?
Is there no need for a weed barrier fabric under the 4” of base material?
We prefer not to use weed barrier when the home owner has pets.
@@eliteturfsupply for pee drainage or is it bad for them?
Do you need to spray it with weed killer if real grass starts to grow through it?
You can. Or simply pull it out.
What a fantastic video!
Can you please give a list of ALL material used step by step! Like sand etc
How many days did this project take?
How much for sqft with materials for customers

It's all in the deails!
You don’t need a 2x4 base ?
“Bc we’re not digging that deep we don’t call the gas company” famous last words

Very informative thank you
How do you quote out the jobs
why not use a straight edge or rod board to level it out? this way you have no high or low spots.
awesome work....very helpful man
Glad to hear that!
Wait, he didn't use Burrier to keep the weeds out! This is awesome. At least I know I can skip that step.
