I feel like I should clarify that there's no hate to anyone who uses any of the icons for these achievements LOL Even though I think they're not worth it, if people think they look good then that's totally fine (i did not know colon uses the geometry star ufo hi colon it looks cool when you use it)
Something else I really hate about the creator achievements is that the standards for levels nowadays are insane compared to what they used to be, so if you pour your heart into a level but someone thinks it doesn't have enough pretty colors or moving objects then you're much less likely to stand any kind of chance
Looking at how a level with the first 70% being a straight copy with a few different jumps got rated and put in a map pack years before, it was easy. Now you need to be a graphicla genius and make some r34 horny mod's wet dream art to get even a chance at a rating

There's a big difference between liking and rating achievements! You can like every online level but only unrated levels can be... rated. I've already liked 2000 levels but rated only 250.
When i first started, i only had the lite version back then and one day i was bored, so i scrolled through all of the main game lvls a few times and accidentally stumbled upon the master detective achievement. When i got the full version, i had to look up how i got the coin to get it there. And i currently am going for the geometry star achievement lmao
From my experience, in order to get the 50/100 like achievements, it's best to do one of a few things: Option 1: Make an auto version of an extreme demon Option 2: Make a copyable of a popular level that doesn't allow copy, using copy hack Option 3: Isolate an iconic part of a popular level that hasn't been uploaded before As long as you do these, and maybe rinse and repeat over a while, eventually one will reach 100 likes. Personally, my first level to reach 100 likes was an auto version of Triple Six by Zylenox, even though my account still has plenty of levels that feature background art pieces I made (my profile picture is a screenshot of one of my levels). It's much better to make a clickbaity low effort level than an actual original high effort level if you're looking for likes, unless you're actually a creator who is worthy of creator points. And even then, you're going to need to send any rate-worthy level to a bunch of mods in level request streams before expecting them to be noticed.
bro the geometry star ufo not only looks like trash but it's also tied to a system that has the worst abbreviation known to mankind and will always need extra text to specify what you mean
My honest opinion on the achievements are that the Creator Point one is easily the hardest & a relic of the past very few people will get nowadays, the grindy ones like stars, user coins, like/dislike levels, rate levels, & beat levels could be less. My main problem with the 2 tied to the map packs, beat map packs & secret coins. Beat map packs should be capped at 20-25 max & secret coins should be capped at 80. I’ve been playing the game for 9 years now & these are the only achievements I have left besides the rated level achievement because I can’t passively get them unless I play those specific levels unlike the others listed above. Now if I could add the 20 extra coins I have from playing all the free versions to my main account, I’d be more satisfied with them but I just don’t like having to play a bunch of old levels from before most people learned how to make decent/good levels.
That was a pretty good video, but, i find some of these ratings REALLY strange. From a content creator/avarge player view they are probably make sense but from a certified pro l̶i̶f̶e̶w̶a̶s̶t̶ demonslayer perspective no. LIke, i get concerns about rewards being icons or colors, but i doubt that its really a problem while Icon hack exist (plus back in my day in like early 2.1/2.0 when Icon hack wasn't really popular it was cool making your icon kit only from what you have and feeling the progress when you get a new icon) Demons achievments are more like a challenge, 60 is a lot but if you're really interested in game then it's not that hard. (ngl i want even more, like atleast up to 500) Stars achievments are great, i've played gd since 2016 and still have 5.5k (started grinding lately, literally had 4k 3 weeks ago) so i glad i still have achievments to do and tbh 10k stars is also not that hard, yeah it takes a lot of time, but you probably gonna enjoy 70-80% of it User coins one is reasonable, unless you're a perfectionist you probably don't go for them in levels, so you have to specificlly collect them for achievments which is not really good I also can get diamonds one, but i've never really went for them so for me it always was just "oh nice new achievment" Rating achievments are actually bad, like, liking 2000 levels is not that hard, i like almost every level i play, but rating achievments are the worst achievments, i've beat 3225 levels in total and rated only 500 because you can't rate demons or rated levels so you basically have to play like random not rated levels or challenges. Shards achievments are not that bad, you'll probably do them in like couple weeks or so and Jumps/Attempts are also good ones, beacuse you just gonna do them while you play leves/grind other achievments
hot take: some of the more grindy ones are debatably okay as a new player would take a lot of attempts/jumps to beat the official levels and map packs, and an active player would kinda just stumble upon them while trying to beat harder levels or clean up leftover map packs or gauntlets. the creation ones and liking/rating tons of levels still suck though
For the Master Detective achievement, if I remember correctly, by clicking the information icon on the "Coming Soon" page. It would say something like, "Do not scroll too far... here be dragons" in version 1.9. After that, however, 2.0 and 2.1 both changed the text on this info box, which is kind of an easter egg in and of itself. So yeah, there was a hint at one point, but it no longer serves as such. I thought it was clever at least.
Yeah, I discovered it back in 2.0 when it said "...don't scroll too far, there is a darkness coming..." Pretty obvious where to go from there, but 2.1's info box is a lot less helpful. Maybe that's another thing RobTop could fix in 2.2.
I found diamonds pretty easy, all you had to do was grind the quests. After the 5000, I didn’t care much but I currently have over 14000 nearly 15000 diamonds now and I barely even noticed the increase.
I understand that some achievements are terrible and really hard to get, but changing them to be better and easier to get would seriously annoy those who have grinded extremely hard to get the icons/colors.

If you think that the jumps/attempts achievements are annoying of the main version of gd, try playing the free versions (lite, meltdown, world, subzero). And since you can't play user created levels or make your own jump grinding levels. You can only get these by just getting them as you play the game. Also for the master detective achievement, I found it by just spamming the arrow through the level selection for fun and I saw the coin while I was spamming.
Fun fact you can get the 20,000 jump quest really easy, using your editor make tall vertical slopes and teleportals that teleworking you back to the ground copy and paste a bunch with slow speed and mini portal active off start. Then jump and hold and see how many jumps you get by the end of the level to Guage how many more slopes or times you have to play the level
This isn't like trying to disprove anything from the video, I was trying to be helpful to anyone that sees this. The attempt achievements can actually be sped up by using the "fast practice reset" option in the settings which makes you respawn faster and practice mode.

i would like to mention the demon achievements, it WAS originally 50 but in 2.1 rob decided to randomly add the 60 achievement (also why tf is the 60 before 50 on the list like how did rob even manage that)
I'm suprised how different my opinions are to yours! (I liked the video and I'm not attacking anyone, I'm just sharing my own opinions here) First of all, you mention "progression" a few times in the video and right off the bat I don't agree with this at all. GD doesn't really have any sort of in-game progression imo... achievements are meant to reward players as they naturally progress through the game; the only thing they grant the player are cosmetic which I think is completely reasonable. Better players get more options and can show off their hardest achievements through their icon sets which I think works as a good system. Exclusive icons and colors being used as status symbols is perfect for a game like GD, and with this perspective I have a completely different take on almost everything you said: Official levels: I agree these are 10/10, but I'm not a huge fan of steam exclusive achievements in general; most of the playerbase is on mobile. Demons: Okay, hear me out: these should go up to 1000 demons. This goes back to what I said earlier about better players being able to show off. I don't even have half this amount of demons, but those who do would rightfully be able to flex their incredibly hard to get icons/colors. To add on to this, there should be an achievement for each demon difficulty (1 for beating a medium demon, one for beating a hard demon, one for beating an insane demon, and one for beating an extreme demon). Secret coins: I agree that map packs suck but honestly I think there should be an achievement for getting every secret coin. Why even have 149 coins in the game if you aren't rewarded for collecting all of them? Like I said in the beginning, this doesn't "lock progress" like you say it does - it rewards players by giving them unique cosmetic choices for doing a certain task that is not at all manditory. If you're willing to put yourself through hell to get this achievement then you deserve to have icons that other players don't have. Stars: Should go up to 100k; same opinion and reasoning for the demon achievements. User Coins: I actually agree with you on this one. Not amazing but not terrible either. Map Packs: An interesting relic of the past. Once again, new players don't have to "slave through" map packs if they don't want to... I still haven't completed all the map packs and I've been playing the game for nearly half my life at this point. Those who do deserve the reward. Diamonds: Completely unnecessary currency, but somehow we still managed to have wildly different opinions. I got 5000 diamonds within the first few months of 2.1 without trying; they add nothing to the game and can be collected so quickly that none of the achievements mean anything. As many people have already pointed out, you forgot that quests exist. Quests are by far the fastest way to collect diamonds but quests are pretty dumb too tbf, especially because many players simply ignore them. Online Levels, Rating/Liking, and Jumping/Attempts: My opinion of these are all the same: they aren't meant to be grinded. The only time I went out of my way to get one of these was when I rated the stars of the final few levels I needed for 2000. Grinding these seems like the most unfun thing ever but it's completely unnecessary to do so. Secondary white is the only achievement worth going after, but jump achievements are so free. I only play the game 2-3 times a week and I still get like 40000 jumps per month - double what's needed for white. Social: Same opinion as you, they're whatever. Account creation breaks a lot though and if you don't have an account you're out of luck unfortunately. RobTop's Links: I agree with you again. Not much more to say about these. Menu Icons: I pretty much agree with you. I think these achievements are best if you aren't expecting them, so something to discourage grinding would be nice; maybe spacing out the achievements more or only having 2 achievements for it (one for destroying 1 player and the other for some absurdly high number, maybe like 1000). I think I like the second idea more, and this might even be a good solution for rating and liking levels as well. More Menu Icons: You didn't talk about these, but the icons you get for destroying specifically them as they go by (Catch them all! and Nice shot!) are an interesting idea and I like how unexpected they are. You can't plan for them, they just sort of happen at some point. Not my favorite idea for an achievement but it's a nice treat if you open the game up and get one out of nowhere. Master Detective: All you have to do is scroll through all the levels 3 times, right? I think if that number was reduced to 2 it'd be a fine achievement because I think people would at some point discover that on their own (now that the actual hint is gone). Vaults: I used the wiki for all of these and didn't think too highly of the concept, but that isn't fair to the achievements, as you aren't _supposed_ to use the wiki. In 2.2 I plan on trying to figure them out myself - I'm hoping this is more fun. I didn't get these legitimately so I can't give a fair opinion. Shards: I agree with you here; shards were a very unnecessary addition to the game. Sure, all 30 shard achievements are garenteed eventually but they were only added to keep players logging in often to open their daily chest (which is fair enough ig) Creation: An achievement for uploading a level is great, no complaints their, same as you. Everything else though I disagree with. 50 and 100 likes are neat achievements for inexperienced creators to show off. If you make a good enough level you'll get these achievements; you don't need to be popular. It might take a few tries but it will happen I promise, even in the current state of creating. (Side note, I wouldn't call any of these "relecs of the past"... 100 likes is from 1.9 and 50 likes and a star rated level are both 2.0) That being said, most people (from what I've seen) complaining about these achievements make levels that look like they came straight from the recent tab. Take this as you will. Finally, Geometry Star (the star rated level achievement) is getting it's own paragraph: Getting a Star Rated Level: I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with your opinion on this one. Geometry Star is (in my opinoin) the BEST in-game achievement in ANY game. I know how unpopular of an opinion this is but hear me out. It took me probably 6 years of creating for me to get this achievement, and in that time I grew so much as a creator. It is so much effort, but the excitement you get for this achievement is unlike anything else. The best comparison I can make is the excitement of beating an extreme demon: years of compounded growth in skill culminating into one monumental feat. The fact rate standards are high is exactly what makes this achievement so meaningful; it is a _genuine_ achievement, moreso than any other in the game. You actually _achieved_ something by unlocking that stupid looking UFO. Being able to look back at your past projects and see how much you've improved is so worth it. I can look back at the terrible levels I made in middle school and remember how proud I was to show them to my friends. I can look back at the hours I spent in my room learning how to use triggers for the first time. I was driven for YEARS to get this achievement, so being able to say that I have it genuinely _means_ something. This is why I want more insane achievements like 1000 demons or 100k stars. Maybe even achievements for being the #1 player or creator (and less exclusive achievements for being top 10 or 100). These types of achievements are actual _achievements_... things that almost no other person has done; they mean something. tl;dr: Achievements in a game like GD work really well as status symbols rather than things every player is expected to get, and therefore there should be more achievements like Geometry Star (rated level achievement), such as 1000 demons or even something for getting top 1 on the leaderboard.
I can respect your view but I just don't see many people viewing achievements as a status symbol, especially since a lot of people have their sights locked on a certain icon before unlocking most things. Even if there was an icon for beating 1,000 demons, I just don't see myself using it to show off, since I already have my sights set on the Fingerdash icon. It's likely the same for many other people. Like I mentioned, the Geometry Star UFO doesn't even look that good so even if I had a star rated level I wouldn't be using it. As for specifics: Progression is what achievements/advancements usually serve. If they aren't going to do that here then they should be called something else. You mentioned as the player 'naturally progresses' through the game. Well, there's a lot of achievements I mentioned that 99% of players will never 'naturally' get depending on what you define as natural I guess. Demons: Like I said, I wouldn't foresee people 'showing off' using an achievement icon, and even if they tried to, everyone else wouldn't care, although I think specific difficulty achievements could be useful for Easy Medium and Hard atleast. (Insane/Extreme are too hard imo especially considering that many players are on mobile) Secret Coins: My issue is that this task shouldn't be what's required of you for these icons/colors/etc. This is why I suggested an XP system, that way you can do the achievements you want to grind out XP and spend that XP on a specific achievement icon. Stars: 100K stars is way too high, that's like, literally almost Top 100 for stars lol, again I just don't see the purpose of forcing players to play a bunch of potentially bad custom levels just for an achievement. It's not even an achievement since anyone COULD do it: it's not hard, it's just tedious. Map Packs: Same reasoning as before. It's not about 'deserving' the reward imo, especially since it's not even worth it usually. And I'd still call it slaving through the map packs, since if you DO want the reward, then it's not a fun experience. It's a grind that 99% of people won't enjoy, and will come out of it feeling bittersweet at best. It'll be a 'fucking finally' moment moreso than a 'wow I did it!' moment. Diamonds: Yeah I just picked like 3 of the 5/6 ways you can get diamonds from the GD Wiki, either way I calculated for my 100% video that getting all the necessary diamonds would take like a month if you grinded as optimally as possible, which is too long imo. Also as I mentioned, there's a hard time cap on them, preventing you from grinding them out faster if you were really determined. No game should make you set a timer to do something like open chests or do quests Levels/Ratings/Jumps/etc: Like I said, I'm ranking them based on what they are specifically. Jumping 100,000 times by your metric would take over two months, which again is just too much time imo. As I mentioned in the video, I wouldn't care how high these kinds of achievements went if they didn't lock icons/colors behind them. If you wanna work towards 10,000,000 jumps just for you, then go ahead, but don't lock an icon behind a gate that can only be opened with 2 years of playtime. More Menu Icons: I did include Nice Shot and Catch Them All in my calculation. Don't remember whether or not I intentionally chose not to mention them verbally, but tbf they're just random chance, so they wouldn't really impact my ranking. Statistically, you're pretty likely to hit them both while grinding out the other menu icon achievements so it's whatever. Creation: I just don't like the luck factor involved in the like achievements. Like I said, without the aid of someone else then you're not likely to get these on your own. Is it possible? Sure, but imo it's definitely not *likely,* also 1.9 and 2.0 kinda are relics of the past at this point, 1.9 was only two years after the game came out and we're now approaching it's tenth anniversary. Geometry Star: The raw time factor involved is enough to demotivate a lot of people. I can't speak for every GD player, but from personal experience I can say that I'd like to eventually have a star rated level, but I do not have the time or drive to learn all the intricacies of the editor to make that happen. This is simply where opinions will differ I suppose since, your comparison to beating an extreme demon I find equally invalid. Just like I don't think this achievement should exist, I would not like to see an achievement for beating an extreme put in the game. Again, I can't speak on the creating half of this coin since I don't have any rated levels, but if an extreme is comparable, then I can speak on that and confidently say that beating my first extreme was one of the least fun experiences in my life and I only did it to do it. Once the initial adrenaline rush of beating the level washed away I felt essentially no different. Was I a bit better at the game now? Sure? But it didn't feel that crazy personally, same with subsequent completions. While being the #1 creator or player are *achievements* personally, I don't think an in game achievement should ever be added for them. If anything there should just be trophies for creating and beating demons on your profile like there are for stars. Every game should be able to be 100%ed by any person in a reasonable amount of time, and this factor is why I think most of the in-game achievements didn't make the cut for the Steam achievement list. Conclusion: Very well thought out comment, I respect your opinions and the way you approached this logically instead of screeching at me for being wrong lol. Regardless of how you felt about my thoughts on the topic, hopefully you still enjoyed the video lol, and thanks for watching since, if nothing else, this comment definitely shows that you watched the whole thing LOL

I fully agree with the creator achievements being terrible nowadays. I've been playing this game since 1.9 and have only managed to get the likes achievements (even the new ones from 2.2) purely because Merg played a level I made for him on a video. That was the BIGGEST stroke of luck for me. Getting a star rated level, however? I had a mod play one of my levels (Five Four by HALFGOOD pleaaase check it out) and didn't even send it, and now it's "outdated" because of 2.2, so I remastered it slightly. Not even a rating this time.
i totally agree with the creator point achievement, its literally the only achievement i need to get, i even have 2 rate worthy (i guess) levels that just arent getting rated or noticed by robtop, i even sent them to mods and they send them to robtop so *sigh* a year later and still nothing

The reason at 2:00 which is why 60 demons because it's a base-12 and base-12 numbers are very awesome numbers

There's a big difference between liking and rating achievements! You can like every online level but only unrated levels can be... rated. I've already liked 2000 levels but rated only 250.
I would like there to be at least a 100 demon achievement, maybe a 500 and 1000 as well. A 1000 demon icon could be a neat way to show off.
Now there’s an achievement for 500 demons, that’s gonna take awhile
5:38 "Grandpa Demon" 💀
I only got godlike because I find *mass destruction of worlds fun and entertaining*
From my experience, in order to get the 50/100 like achievements, it's best to do one of a few things:
Option 1: Make an auto version of an extreme demon
Option 2: Make a copyable of a popular level that doesn't allow copy, using copy hack
Option 3: Isolate an iconic part of a popular level that hasn't been uploaded before
As long as you do these, and maybe rinse and repeat over a while, eventually one will reach 100 likes.
Bro the cp ufo is like the 2nd best 💀💀💀
Just call it "the star rated ufo".
LOL Robtop added a ONE MILLION jumps achievement.
That was a pretty good video, but, i find some of these ratings REALLY strange. From a content creator/avarge player view they are probably make sense but from a certified pro l̶i̶f̶e̶w̶a̶s̶t̶ demonslayer perspective no. LIke, i get concerns about rewards being icons or colors, but i doubt that its really a problem while Icon hack exist (plus back in my day in like early 2.1/2.0 when Icon hack wasn't really popular it was cool making your icon kit only from what you have and feeling the progress when you get a new icon)
Demons achievments are more like a challenge, 60 is a lot but if you're really interested in game then it's not that hard. (ngl i want even more, like atleast up to 500)
Stars achievments are great, i've played gd since 2016 and still have 5.5k (started grinding lately, literally had 4k 3 weeks ago) so i glad i still have achievments to do and tbh 10k stars is also not that hard, yeah it takes a lot of time, but you probably gonna enjoy 70-80% of it
User coins one is reasonable, unless you're a perfectionist you probably don't go for them in levels, so you have to specificlly collect them for achievments which is not really good
I also can get diamonds one, but i've never really went for them so for me it always was just "oh nice new achievment"
Rating achievments are actually bad, like, liking 2000 levels is not that hard, i like almost every level i play, but rating achievments are the worst achievments, i've beat 3225 levels in total and rated only 500 because you can't rate demons or rated levels so you basically have to play like random not rated levels or challenges.
Shards achievments are not that bad, you'll probably do them in like couple weeks or so
and Jumps/Attempts are also good ones, beacuse you just gonna do them while you play leves/grind other achievments
hot take: some of the more grindy ones are debatably okay as a new player would take a lot of attempts/jumps to beat the official levels and map packs, and an active player would kinda just stumble upon them while trying to beat harder levels or clean up leftover map packs or gauntlets. the creation ones and liking/rating tons of levels still suck though
1:18 why are you reminding me of when I died at 96% on TOE and could (almost) never get there again
@DanAppeared i found the coin accidentally while spamming the arrow and asking my friend to tell me when to stop
Yeah, I discovered it back in 2.0 when it said "...don't scroll too far, there is a darkness coming..." Pretty obvious where to go from there, but 2.1's info box is a lot less helpful. Maybe that's another thing RobTop could fix in 2.2.
Yes, this. The hint worked out too as I found it soon after.

Then jump and hold and see how many jumps you get by the end of the level to Guage how many more slopes or times you have to play the level
i should not have to explain how this is stupid as hell
You should make a part 2 covering the new 2.2 achievements.
This isn't like trying to disprove anything from the video, I was trying to be helpful to anyone that sees this.
The attempt achievements can actually be sped up by using the "fast practice reset" option in the settings which makes you respawn faster and practice mode.

i just wanna ask why there ring fit music at the end? just wondering
I'm suprised how different my opinions are to yours! (I liked the video and I'm not attacking anyone, I'm just sharing my own opinions here)
First of all, you mention "progression" a few times in the video and right off the bat I don't agree with this at all. Exclusive icons and colors being used as status symbols is perfect for a game like GD, and with this perspective I have a completely different take on almost everything you said:
Official levels: I agree these are 10/10, but I'm not a huge fan of steam exclusive achievements in general; most of the playerbase is on mobile.
Sure, all 30 shard achievements are garenteed eventually but they were only added to keep players logging in often to open their daily chest (which is fair enough ig)
Creation: An achievement for uploading a level is great, no complaints their, same as you. Finally, Geometry Star (the star rated level achievement) is getting it's own paragraph:
Getting a Star Rated Level: I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with your opinion on this one.
As for specifics:
Progression is what achievements/advancements usually serve.
(Insane/Extreme are too hard imo especially considering that many players are on mobile)
Secret Coins: My issue is that this task shouldn't be what's required of you for these icons/colors/etc.
No game should make you set a timer to do something like open chests or do quests
Levels/Ratings/Jumps/etc: Like I said, I'm ranking them based on what they are specifically.

I feel like the reason for like customization items behind hard achievements is to make players feel accomplished for completing a difficult task. Also, you can brag about it when using these.
The intro is just so good i mean he didn't forgot pepperoni pizza-rolls
Happy 2024 SDslayer!!!!
As a sausage pizza roll, I feel unrecognized
I did 200k jumps in less than 5 minutes with the legendary tech of holding space and a block follows you :)
The jump is easy, just use a setup with dual, h blocks and blocks and you have a crazy jump farm.
6:00 What’s the “collab” option? is that a mod?
Yes. It allows you to build with others
Coin Guy: GD Cologne
Achievement Guy: SDSlayer
Menu Guy: also GD Cologne
I've done the jumps legit, on my latest completion I got 50k jumps just on the copy of the level, it isn't that bad considering not just cube gives you jump stats
Good luck on 200k
I might suck at the game because ive already jumped 10000 times and highest i got on polargeist is 92%. I haven't even beat it yet 😅👍
as someone who has completed all map packs, I see this as an absolute win
Intro ideas:
hello, laidies, gentlemen and walmart bags!
hello, laidies, gentlemen and loaves of bread that fled from the store!
hello, laidies, gentlemen and my unfed fishes!
hello, laidies, gentlemen and bottles of soap!
hello, laidies, gentlemen and baked potatoes!
Next rating all achievements names?
7:22 I mean at least getting diamonds isn’t a torture method (unlike map packs)
13:26 yeah a miracle happened
master detective i found it while randomly scrolling trough the main menu.
What mouse do u have?
I fully agree with the creator achievements being terrible nowadays. I've been playing this game since 1.9 and have only managed to get the likes achievements (even the new ones from 2.2) purely because Merg played a level I made for him on a video. That was the BIGGEST stroke of luck for me. Getting a star rated level, however? I had a mod play one of my levels (Five Four by HALFGOOD pleaaase check it out) and didn't even send it, and now it's "outdated" because of 2.2, so I remastered it slightly. Not even a rating this time.
you should make this about the 2.2 Achievements I sure love the beat 500 demons Achievement
did anyone ever search up those "free jump" levels where you can rack up a couple thousand jumps in a few minutes
I always enjoy your videos❤
hey sdslayer can you give me a download link for your texture pack please?
What does that collab button do?
It's an mod but idk
i totally agree with the creator point achievement, its literally the only achievement i need to get, i even have 2 rate worthy (i guess) levels that just arent getting rated or noticed by robtop, i even sent them to mods and they send them to robtop so *sigh* a year later and still nothing
map packs and the geometry star achievement's are the worst (i beat every map pack but i still don't have the geometry star achievement cuz im bad at decoration)
