Twice a day guaranteed, thrice is normal, four times after a feast. That’s per day, not per week. I eat a plant based Viking diet. Barley, rye, einkorn, spelt, buckwheat, hazelnuts, walnuts, oats and lots of kale, greens, fruits and root veggies. I also drink lots of water and the occasional watered down ale.The only non plant foods I eat are skyr and on rare occasion, honey. I used to be horribly bunged up eating white bread, cheese and restaurant food. That’s gone. Relax on the porcelain throne with an iPad game of Lily’s garden, plants vs zombies or solitaire. Focus on the game instead of straining.

From mealtime to evacuation, how long does it take?
As long as there is not unwanted weight gain, are there any potential issues with snacking healthy foods between meals, or even grazing? What about occasionally eating late at night when you just didn't have time to have lunch or dinner? Or should I just force myself to skip dinner, get to bed and wait till morning breakfast? I'm on a whole foods plant-based diet. --Audrey in Chicago

Don't understand your second sentence but in reference to hemorrhoids, you may have developed a gluten intolerance or consuming a lot of hot sauce. Also if not getting enough fiber and fruit and this makes stool hard and requires straining to eliminate. Pay attention to what you're eating/not eating when things are going well and same for when things aren't going well. Sometimes it takes very little to throw things off. Be sure to drink plenty water, especially when hot.

What is odd sometimes is that my body wakes up and wants to have a BM in the middle of the night. I do eat beans frequently so my body is used to this. Fortunately the middle of the night urge, does not happen very often.

I have a problem with bowel movement for a long time. I go everyday but sometimes I have a bad stomach ache before going to the bathroom. I eat a good amount of vegetables wondered why I still continue to constipate.

What about redundant colon causing constipation for a type 1 diabetic? Was put on Linzess for 3 weeks every other day but when I take the Linzess I cannot leave the house and It is painful.

When i swapped to a 95% veggie diet my bathroom breaks smell almost like nothing at all. I do think a lot of processed foods and meat in general makes things smell bad

I'm 76 now and I eat less and not much body movement. My bowel movement has changed too. Is it okay if I take fiber supplement everyday to avoid constipation since its not often I get natural food with high fiber.

Great info! Questions: Is burping really loud and long a sign of bad microbio? If the fiber on the skin of some fruits is a good source of fiber, how should they be properly wash? Is the wax covering on apples harmful? Thanks in advance.
