This made so much sense. My god, finally someone with a great explanation. Thank you! Earned a subscription and I found you through google because I searched how to properly clean/restore fencing.
Excellent explanation. It was short and sweet but to the point. I haven't seen anyone else online including TH-cam explaining the difference between all the different Chems and how they work and what the benefits are between them all. Way too many individuals just going right to the Sodium Hypochlorite as their all in one cleaner and brightening product. Sodium Hypochlorite isn't made for that. It is strictly made for killing organic growth and sanitizing and that is it as far as I know.
Good info Everett. Folks are little too eager with bleach. They need to use it judiciously and educate themselves about other detergents (Joel from DeckResurrect)
We had Trex Select, Saddle color installed to replace our old wood decking. My wife has hanging plants above part of the floor. She uses miracle-gro mixed with our hard water to feed her plants. She’s noticed that there’s a faint white film forming on the decking under the plants. What the best product & procedure to remove it & keep it clean. Thanks Pete
Yes we have an online store here: deck-restoration-plus-deck-and-wood-stain.myshopify.com/ We also work with some distributors across the country as well. And for more information visit www.wizardofwood.net
Bill D., thank you for the question. We have never had an issue with it on windows. We pre-wet, apply to wood surfaces only, rinse, rinse, and rinse again. This includes all surrounding including windows and screens. The Brighteners are acids and they will etch glass if not rinsed thoroughly. As stated, never had a problem rinsing off with of our sodium metasilicate products.
@@wizardofwood Terrific! Thank you for the reply. I'm in the process of quoting a large townhome project with potentially 40 deck's that will need cleaning. Trying to research the optimum method for cleaning.

Is it true that sodium meta silicate is difficult to remove from windows?
