A period in Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood’s lives when they produced the best, rawest, purest rock, blues and soul music of their lives. We are blessed to be able to re-live it through these videos. Long live TH-cam and The Faces of the early 70’s.

when he was most passionate. By the time I became his Bodyguard he was much more guarded when it came to personal expression, a sweet man , a gentlemqn and eternally classy. He was conscious
of every detail, which was always 6 star :-) best time in my life!

What you just said is so true. Lately I've been going through TH-cam and going from the 70s 80s 90s into the twenties of Rod Stewart's musical career.!! And I believe it's quite evident as well that his character changed as he became more well known. I guess it's what happens to all musicians once they get the fame they think they aren't just human anymore. Sad but true 🌹🌟🌹 thank you for sharing your story though I was very impressed. A bodyguard nice job 🌹🌟🌹 thanks again

This is lovely to hear as Rod has & is still a big part of my life
I loved his early vocal it’s extraordinary & today is still there
      Different but it’s still him

I was there!!!One of the greateast night of my life. I still have the tickets. At the SunDown in Edmonton. By that time i was living at King Henry"s Road NW3 Primmrose Hill...near by the Round House and Camdend Town! I do remember the time we took to get there! And when Rod started the concert, complaing about a police who stopded the band on the way.now i'm an old rocker living in Rio de Janeiro ,Brasil.Cheers to you all!

Incredibly and deeply soulful!!! Rod's measured, pleading vocals, the sparse guitar, and trembling keyboards nail the fragility of a breaking heart. No other recording comes close to the depth of this one.

Best stuff he's ever done(for me). Magnificent vocal!
Love all the bluesy stuff he did back then with the Faces.

Come on! Ever heard of The Who? Remember Woodstock, when Pete knocked 'political-types' (Abbey Hoffman) off 'his' stage. When The Who weren't even The Who yet (Detours/High Numbers), I heard stories how other musicians timed their stage-presence at shared events whilst The Who never wanted to quit playing ! Uh, and they just opened a huge tour where they played Grand Rapids a couple nights ago. (Tidbit for Who Heads: they played "Imagine A Man" for the first time ever-live! What a treat! Still at it! Loving Life! And I'm loving The Who! Sorry, I know this is The Faces but somebody sparked me a silly silly comment! And The Who aren't the only band who love to perform; musicians gotta play music! So my musician-son tells me, lol. In my next life I'm DEFINETLEY a musician!

If you’ve ever had a friend go blind, this song makes you cringe. I had a girlfriend who lost her sight, and I used to love this song (and she did too), but I quit playing it after her accident. She asked me about it, and I told her she was really strong. It infuriated her and led to our break-up. She said, “Strong? Fuck, I wasn’t given a choice! Was I supposed to kill myself?”

It’s good, very good, but like Otis Redding no one can do Etta justice not even someone like Rod Stewart. Ron Wood's guitar and McLagan's keyboard on the other hand...

It was very unfortunate the faces were just rods backing band towards the end, rod got annoyed when the posters said "rod stewart & faces" i think them playing on his solo albums never helped, they played on "every picture tells a story" & "never a dull moment"
