De verdad que este concierto está buenísimo el Blues entre el Rock es lo mejor para mí es mi opinión y en ese concierto se puede definir tremendisima esa actuación es admirable esos toques de guitarra bajo y percusión Excelente y la cantante también espectacular
I love that she doesn't overdo her riffs and runs. They're used sparingly and tastefully. She telling a very sad story. So many singers are just singing way too many riffs and runs these days. Beyond great, everyone.
Yes they make it about them rather than the whole performance. But that's because they don't have anywhere else to go. They are limited...but Beth is not
Exactly! The number of times I’ve had to sit there and watch or play next to some idiot completely destroying a song.. BUT PEOPLE CHEER FOR IT people enjoy it just because it’s a any old generic voice without vibrato.. taste is absolutely fucking dead I quit playing long ago for reasons like you mention because there’s just no realistic place for gems like this on the average players gigging scene, you have to adhere to whatever is current and surely that kills the entire point? @@alanjones5786 Please respect Janis Joplin. You are a man, so probably, you have never thought about the fact, that the music industry had been a male domain. Janis did her way through that. Beth Heart had less problems, because of womon like Janis, Tina Turner RiP, Cher..., who made the road free, who are fighting for this.
After listening to this for the 4,456th time, I still feel that this is the best guitar solo I have ever heard, and coupled with the B3, it is truly beautiful music. Perfectly done!
Yes, perfect guitar solo. ❤ For another perfect solo by Joe, check out his spine-tingling performance with John Hiatt at the Beacon Theatre, “Down Around My Place.” It’ll knock your socks off!
I'm sorry but I totally disagree. I love this performance and I think it's one of the best blues live performance of all time. But there's some people like Jimmy Hendrix, David Gilmour, Mark Knopfler, Slash, Eric Clapton and others who made better guitar solos...
Ha, I thought you were going to write I am an old woman "named after my mother, my old man is another, child that's grown old" Lyrics stick in my head that way. Beth has an old soul cause she wore her newest one out with a hazardous lifestyle. Enjoy the concert!
The combination of Beth and Joe is a guarantee for deeply expressed blues feelings. Simply great. Beth has the same vocally capabilities as Joe playing on his guitars. A winning fusion.
I'm almost 62 years old and I think this grand piece of music is for everybody young and old . What a awesome song and what a voice . Magnificent !! Love it!!! Greatz Holland
We (I am almost 63) are the original rockers. We grew up with the best music ever. And age doesn't limit our love for great music in any way. It just means we have more experience. Our horizons are broad and excepting. Beth and Joe are 2 of my most favorite 😍
For 9:42 there was no pandemic, no riots, no protests, no worries, no aches, no pains, no fears. Just a transcending like none other. You feel happy and euphoria. Thank you Beth and Joe
@@Oh_I_Will why are you so bitter? I bet if I told you to talk with god your head would explode. It's apparent you don't understand what transcending thoughts are.
One of the best live vocals I’ve ever heard and one of the best guitar solos as well! Love the horns and rhythm section immensely as well! Unbelievable!
I love everything about this. The emotion can bring you to your knees. She makes you believe every word she sings. I love how the guitar solo makes you feel the same emotions as her singing does. It gives me chills and just hits my soul. This is what a true live performance is and should always be! Thank you so much for this.
A friend turned me on to joe and beth about 10yrs ago,and since then I've followed them. They put so much feeling into everything that they sing, they make you feel so damn good!!
She has this same song with Jeff Beck, here by "coincidence" we found Joe Bonamassa... I highly recommend you to check Jeff Beck's version. You'll be delighted 😀
No one LIVING. I take that back, Susan Tedeschi also sings the blues like this. But if you go back 60 years, Janis Joplin and Etta James ultimately have to share the throne and tiara between themselves. Absokutely no one can hold a candle to them except Willie Mae "Big Mamma" Thornton
This is an outstanding rendition of this song and the combination of these two Uber-talents is just other worldly. Etta would be VERY proud of this! Beth Hart's vocal range and power accompanied by her connection to this song are felt "deep down to your bones!" I've listened to this song SO many times.
I feel so fortunate to have seen Jimi Hendrix, Janis and so many other greats performing live. I'm crying just the same watching and listening to this incredible Ms. Hart with Joe performing one of the BEST f-ing songs EVER. She, Etta and Janis will always bring my tears, and I love them all for it. Great music is great music; I love them all, and miss terribly the ones that are no longer with us. To say one is better than the other is just crap. If it grabs your gut, your heart and your soul, it's great and that is all there is to it.
I can't watch this song without weeping. Janis has come down fron Heaven to be with Beth during this song. What emotion! What heart! (excuse the pun). There's only one word for it. Perfection. Both suffered terribly from drug addiction. Thank God, Beth survived. We love you, Beth. Also, thank you to Tina for the sublime lyrics.
I'll keep commenting because something this wonderful moves me to do it. When I'm low, this lifts me with the sheer energy and musicianship of Beth, Joe and the band. You'll see more because I'll watch it again, and again.
The more I listen to it, the more I understand the power of this song! Beth's expressive voice supported by the Hammond organ, very effective brass and drums... and... and in the middle of this song, the apotheosis with this dantean guitar solo with such precise notes, absolute accuracy and musical fluidity, the length and intensity of a vibrato so well mastered, all done with great modesty. An intention as well delivered, frankly, at this level, this song cuts across art, it's closer to the divine. What a beautiful musical moment !
Two exceptional soloist, one with a guitar and one with vocal chords. Added to that is a top notch band. This'll be one of my Desert Island Disks without a doubt.
Is there anywhere, ever a better live performance than this. Talk about music coming from the soul, everyone is on the nail behind Brilliant Beth and Joe.
I won't say this is better (it's a lot different), but it's right up there as far as fantastic live performances go: Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade of Pale, live in Denmark 2006 th-cam.com/video/St6jyEFe5WM/w-d-xo.html
Damn this has to be the best Combo of guitar and vocals I have ever heard. I am 67 and have seen Janis Joplin in concert. Beth has to be as close to Janis as I have ever heard!! And Bonnamasso needs to no comparison. He is a master!!!
I agree, I am 68 and they both (Joplin) have that soul and charisma that makes excellent artists. I am in love with Beth. And with Joe in the mix it is damned awesome!
Robert Drake, Also 67 and this blew me away. One of my favorite songs I listen to every day but it's Etta James. Didn't discover this until today. WOW. Not to mention that she'd rather go blind than to see him walk away.
@@philipnunn4119 You're kidding, surely. I'm a great Janis fan but, in the singing dept Beth leaves her for dead - much better voice, but with the same intensity.

I’ve never heard of neither Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa until now and an instant fan of both. It’s amazing how their names aren’t bigger considering how extremely talented both are. This is REAL music by a REAL artist and musician 😎
I thought only Etta's rendition could make me cry.. I was wrong, Beth made it hers in every way, tears are rolling . She is truly one of the best we have. Joe, what hasn't been said already...wish i could have been there...fucking amazing!
Beth's voice just makes the tears flow.... and then there's Joe's guitar solo that breaks your heart Maybe the most moving performance I've ever seen ❤️
I've watched this many many times and it still leaves me shaking my head at the emotion it conveys, the quality if the musicians, and the deep soul of the whole song. Just sublime.
I love the chemistry. The whole band is into it and the singer doesn't just stand there while the solo is up. She moving into it and feeling it. I'd love to see this live
One thing I have always found with her singing is that she becomes the song, not just someone singing but totally immersed in it. As for Joe's guitar work on this, exceptional. Not burying the song but lifting it higher.
If this performance doesn’t touch you, not even the Wizard of Oz can help you get a heart. 😂It’s just awesome and doesn’t get any better than this collab.
Beth is a truly extraordinary singer (who really should be more widely known) but thanks HartAndBonamassa for crediting Joe as well - his solo was beautiful and they stayed together through some tough times. At about 6:19 Beth applauds Joe who in turn gives a nod of appreciation to the drummer at about 7:14. In turn I tip my hat to a very sensitive and accomplished band.
The DVD of this concert is wonderful (alot is on YT) and within the extras Beth said she was surprised Joe was happy for her to headline the tour. True talent with humility alongside = this. Doesn't come better.
Probably the best version that has ever been created. Ms. Beth and her voice, the guitar, the brass section, the band and again the sultry aggressive voice of Ms Beth absolutely tremendous. Big John

I’ve seen Joe 2 times as a solo act . Both shows were absolutely awesome. But the addition of Beth is like fine wine to the mix ! Wow this is killer ; doesn’t get any better than this !!!
Be careful.. passion will undo the best of us
ETTA JAMES!!

Jesus Christ Joe's guitar melted my face and Beth's performance melted my heart. This is how music should be 🙄😃
Yes, actually music not talkathon lol this young generation thinks that junk is music so??
That's feeling the music!
His guitar does the talking
Jesus Christ is not an adjective to use in a sentence He offers you the choice to be your personal Saviour.
A minimum of 20 well know artists have sang this but none will come close to Beth's version. It's like listen to someone trying to cover SRV. Close, but something is missing.
81, got my pods in my ears and grooving on this amazing song.... I've watched the entire concert BUT THIS is the highlight of the concert... THE WOMAN CAN SING A SONG!! And Joe is not doing too bad either...
On of the best version ever heard . It’s sad and swampier, yet bring back best memories to us older lady .😢❤ such an emotional sound in Joe s music . Personal in love with it .
I'm 147 years old , and this is the BEST Live performance since I saw Bessie Smith sing Gulf Coast Blues in 1925 😎😎😎😎😎
Lol
De verdad que este concierto está buenísimo el Blues entre el Rock es lo mejor para mí es mi opinión y en ese concierto se puede definir tremendisima esa actuación es admirable esos toques de guitarra bajo y percusión Excelente y la cantante también espectacular

Так! Це - прекрасно!!! Неперевершено!!!!!
Indeed! The pennicle of musical mastery.
Sao perfeitos muitobom
I love that she doesn't overdo her riffs and runs. They're used sparingly and tastefully. She telling a very sad story. So many singers are just singing way too many riffs and runs these days. Beyond great, everyone.
Yes!!! That’s the thing that makes me crazy.
Sheeple kill everything
Janis who?
@@alanjones5786 Please respect Janis Joplin. You are a man, so probably, you have never thought about the fact, that the music industry had been a male domain. Janis did her way through that. Beth Heart had less problems, because of womon like Janis, Tina Turner RiP, Cher..., who made the road free, who are fighting for this.
I think we all should recognize, that Joe Bonamassa is s.b.very special..🎶🎵💚💛❤
@@fischerfritz4595You didn't even mention Eddie Hazel, Prince n Buckethead.
@@fischerfritz4595 All very talented but Beth is almost all alone the way she sings. Tracy Chapman is another.
Incredible performance! Best version of this song ever ❤
Just watched this again again again and again ... The most emotionally powerful performance duo ever ...
I am an old woman, I have listen to blues singers for along time. This girl has comes from her soul. Going to see her in St. Pete 4/27/22
Ha, I thought you were going to write I am an old woman "named after my mother, my old man is another, child that's grown old" Lyrics stick in my head that way. Beth has an old soul cause she wore her newest one out with a hazardous lifestyle. Enjoy the concert!
Hello Carol...
You are so right. I got a chance to watch her as a TEEN...and she had it even then. She was born to sing the blues...and so beautifully.
Looks like a man to me
How was the performance?
The combination of Beth and Joe is a guarantee for deeply expressed blues feelings. Simply great. Beth has the same vocally capabilities as Joe playing on his guitars. A winning fusion.
Where have I been all my life to have never heard this woman before? Holy hell this is amazing!!!!
His clean guitar sound and hers dirty voice combined - priceless!
Ja. What can I say? You are so right. From Africa.
American agrees. Who doesn't have a hard-on with that combination?

I'm almost 62 years old and I think this grand piece of music is for everybody young and old . What a awesome song and what a voice . Magnificent !! Love it!!! Greatz Holland
We (I am almost 63) are the original rockers. We grew up with the best music ever. And age doesn't limit our love for great music in any way. It just means we have more experience. Our horizons are broad and excepting. Beth and Joe are 2 of my most favorite 😍
im 37 ,i feel the same way as you, i guess i ll age well as you.
This is EXTRATERRERISTRIAL, a masterpiece of all i've heard in my last 60 years, thank you Beth and Joe! ❤
This song and video should be sent out into space, earth is too small for Beth and Joe!
❤
For 9:42 there was no pandemic, no riots, no protests, no worries, no aches, no pains, no fears. Just a transcending like none other. You feel happy and euphoria. Thank you Beth and Joe
All of that may be in your shallow world...but there have always been troubles all around us in every era and I’m still Rockin regardless...

WOW! What a performance! Hart singing from the heart. Joe playing from the heart. So much emotion and feeling and soul. That's the BLUES for ya!

Beth doesn't perform a song, she LIVES it! I could listen to this forever

One of the best live vocals I’ve ever heard and one of the best guitar solos as well! Love the horns and rhythm section immensely as well! Unbelievable!
So good when not altered
Check out Beth and Jeff Beck at the Buddy Guy Tribute

beth hart is a legend. you rarely see performers give their everything to their art, like beth does. brilliant brilliant brilliant!
Well said Sara. Just right!

Yes exactly . She is very talented and she has such an amazing voice. I wonder where those 4000 dislikes came from? People are weird!

Never heard this woman sing anything badly all she does is absolutely mesmerising! What a talent !!!!
The voice and the passion Beth puts in this song is Amazing!!! and lets not forget Joes guitar solo.....Wow!!! Thank you guys.
Probably one of the best preformances I’ve ever seen ,beautiful,❤❤❤
Damn and those notes that Joe squeezed out of that tele.
This is utterly remarkable. Astonishing. Goosebumps in 2021.
Thank you. This gave me goosebumps all through my soul.
She has this same song with Jeff Beck, here by "coincidence" we found Joe Bonamassa... I highly recommend you to check Jeff Beck's version. You'll be delighted 😀
I keep coming back to this when I need an earthy blue fix!
If there's a better version of this song I haven't heard it yet. The BEST!
@@Alexandra_acount3 Agreed! This is the ultimate version of the song, and it's never dated, thanks to these 2 incredible artists.
This woman sings the blues like no other, I mean NO OTHER. Her voice always gets me on my knees. Adorable
Damb yesss
That's because you're a lover of good music
Well, there's Janis Joplin... but I love them both!
It's not just the music that gets me on my knees...
She is amazing! Her voice has no limits. What an awesome performance!
This is an outstanding rendition of this song and the combination of these two Uber-talents is just other worldly. Etta would be VERY proud of this! Beth Hart's vocal range and power accompanied by her connection to this song are felt "deep down to your bones!" I've listened to this song SO many times.
same !!! 🙌🏻🔥💎💯
I've never heard it better said. Thank you.
You saw Jimi and Janis...Congratulations!?!

Exactly !!
Well said!¡ Just what my heart & soul feels but could never put so eloquently!❤️❤️❤️
Joe knows (like Peter Green) that just because you know all of the notes, you don't have to play them. A wonderful rendition.
Molpe41 you're way overthinking this. It's the blues. Human, raw, not perect"usually". Just absorb this medicine.

I won't say this is better (it's a lot different), but it's right up there as far as fantastic live performances go:

William, I’m agreeing with you.
Honestly I think Beth is better a LOT better

One thing I have always found with her singing is that she becomes the song, not just someone singing but totally immersed in it.

If this does not bring tears to your eyes, I don;t know what will. What a performance!
La meilleure prestation musicale que j'ai pu voir. Le solo de guitare est tout simplement phénoménale !!!!
The passion, the feeling she puts into this song is extraordinary..Etta James is looking down smiling.
